Retail Store Sales Event Calendar Cheat Sheet

As most of you guys and gals already know, most of the money I make online occurs during the holidays. While off season blogging typically delivers a very low level passive income, blogging during the holidays is absolutely huge for me, and I mean explosive. So for me, I have to pay attention to the various holiday events that take place throughout the year. If I don’t, then I don’t make money.

With proper planning and hard work as well as knowledge of the typical upcoming national sales events, I am able to make quite a bit of money during peek times that carry me through slower times. With that being said, I wanted to share with you my Retail Store Sales Event Calendar Cheat Sheet. This is something I use as a foundation in my business of making money online with a blog. I knew that Mark Mason was a natural in the business of Internet Marketing. It seems this guy was paying me to do graphic work for him for a reason. He intends to make some good money. Are You Looking For Killer Graphics For Your Make Money Online Blog?

I have an online buddy who I have been working with for the last few months named Forest Parks. He last helped me create some graphics for the free eBook I have available on www.DebtConsolidationBook.com. I have always been very impressed with his work and frequently asked if he had a presentation page for his services.

In my opinion, this is a service that has a pretty low level of competition. I have always said to Forest that if he puts together a presentation page that provides information about the design services he provides and then has a few of his friends help him with spreading the word, that should get the ball rolling for him fairly quickly. Will Anyone Step Up and Compete With eBay?

For the longest time I can remember I have had an eBay account. Many years ago I used to do a lot business with them. In 2001 eBay flew me down to San Jose to talk with them about organizing a huge aviation auction event. I even used to build and sell my own computers on eBay. For many years, eBay played a huge role in how I made money online. With building and selling computers, this was long before major manufacturers dropped their prices making it virtually impossible to compete with. All in all eBay has been very fun for me, but I don’t really do much with them anymore.

Quite honestly, their fees are way too expensive for me. My last auction with eBay was for an item that I spent $50 dollars on for getting extra exposure. Needless to say, the only traffic to the auction was generated by my own resources. I wasn’t very pleased and decided it was time to stop using eBay.

So is there anyone out there who can bring some competition to eBay. I have often wondered if Google would start offering online auctions? Many years ago, the #2 online auction site was provided by Yahoo. It was actually sad to see their service slowly die. Yahoo provided a unique blend in the business of online auctions. (more…)

A Review of Brian Gardner’s WordPress Themes

You may know that I have taken a lot of interest in creating WordPress themes for the WordPress blogging community. So in part of doing that, I have been searching around the sphere a little bit for other WordPress theme designers. Specifically, I wanted to check out the different flavors of themes that are available.

While you might think it’s silly of me to write a post like this, you might think, “Garry is getting in the business of making themes, so why would he write a post about his competition?” I don’t really look at it this way. For me, making my own WordPress themes is very much a form of creative art. I feel fine talking about other designer’s work while also developing my own work. This isn’t like the make money online niche where everything is cut-throat, sneaky and misleading. (more…)
