Increase Your Earnings With The New Kontera Channels

I received an email from Mika Tal, the publisher services manager from Kontera, about a new feature that will be going up soon on their site. It is called Kontera Channels and once it is live, it will really help increase your earning potential using Kontera.

For those who don’t know, Kontera is a program that will make you money online when you install their snippet of code onto your blog. What will happen is their program will scan your content and find relevant keywords and hyperlink them to their advertisers. I have installed Kontera on my blog so that you can see what it looks like. Also ,here is a screen shot:

If you would like to enroll into the Kontera program and start making money online by displaying relevant links, simply visit www.Kontera.com.

You may be wondering about their new Channels and how to use them. The Channels feature offers a deeper level of analysis than that provided by overall reports. This new feature enables you to create individual reporting for a combination of pages or sections of your website.

By creating and employing Channels you’ll get a separate report for each section of your website. This way, you can see and monitor the number of clicks generated by each section! Find out which of your content categories generate the most clicks.

You may be wondering how you can create these channels? To include channels in your Kontera publisher account, contact support@kontera.com with your request. The Kontera team will immediately enable the Channels feature and you’ll be able to create multiple channels in no time through the Publisher Center. From this point on, you’ll be able to evaluate your site’s performance in a more accurate, and direct manner than ever before.

Have you used Kontera before? If so, how has Kontera been working for you? Share your opinions and feedback about Kontera using by leaving a comment on this post.

How To Make Really Good Money Online With A Blog

Ok, so I talk about this all the time, right? I talk about how you can easily make money online with a blog. Lately, this has been all about creating niche blogs. You know, blogs about a certain topic, product or service. A niche blog is a blog that has content related to strictly one thing, such as cell phones, boats, home repair, etc…

While there is nothing wrong with niche blogging, people have to understand that building an empire of niche blogs can’t happen overnight. Consequently, money doesn’t get made over night either. All in all, there are great and positive solutions with making money online creating niche blogs. But once again, this all takes time.

For some people, time isn’t something that is available. Money is needed NOW! There are bills to pay, kids who need clothes and gas that needs to get put into the tank. With that said, how can you quickly make money online with a blog? How can you make money using a blog while gaining almost immediate and over night results? What can you do right NOW to make money while you build your empire of niche blogs? (more…)

How To Make Google Chrome Your Default Web Browser In Windows Vista Home Premium Edition

I noticed that there were quite a few threads in the offical Google Chrome group with people asking about how to set Google Chrome as the default web browser on Windows Vista machines. There have been a mixture of responses here and there, but I never found one to work for me. It has been a few weeks searching for a solution. Google Chrome really appeals to me but I have never been able to set it as my default browser. I have tried on three different computers, two of which run Windows Vista. The third computer running Windows XP, I had no issues with.

With that said, I decided to fool around and attempt to resolve this issue myself. If you are having trouble setting your Google Chrome browser as default, simply follow these steps:

Step One: Right Click on the Google Chrome Shortcut icon found on your desktop and view propertise.

Step Two: Click the “Shortcut” tab and then click “Open File Location”. This should then open a new window with the following address:

AppData/Local/Google/Chrome/Application

Step Three: Right Click on the Google Chrome Icon listed in the folder. The contents of this folder should be something like this:

0.2.149.30/
Dictionaries/
Plugins/
Chrome
Run First

Step Four: Click the “Compatibility” Tab and check, “Run this program in compatibility mode for:” and in the drop down menu select, “Windows XP (Service Pack 2)”.

Step Five: In the Privlege Level Section, check, “Run this program as an administrator” and then Click apply and then ok.

Step Six: Close the /AppData/Local/Google/Chrome/Application window and then proceed to open Google Chrome using the Desktop Shortcut Icon. A “User Account Control” window will pop up, simply allow access.

Step Seven: You will experience a “Windows - Application Error” with the following or similiar message: “The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click OK to terminate the application.” Simply click the OK button.

Step Eight: Google Chrome will load but the screen will display, “Aw, Snap! Something went wrong while displaying this webpage. To continue, press Reload or go to another page.” From this point, simply click the TOOLS icon.

Step Nine: After you click the TOOLS option, then proceed to click the “Make Google Chrome my default browser” button. After doing so, The text above should appear green with the following message, “The default browser is currently Google Chrome.”

Step Ten: Close The Window and then Close Google Chrome.

Step Eleven: Right Click on the Google Chrome Desktop Shortcut icon and view Properties.

Step Twelve: Click the Compatibility Tab and UNCHECK the “Run this program in compatibility mode for:” option.

Step Thirteen: In the “Privlege Level” section, UNCHECK the “Run this program as an administrator” option.

Step Fourteen: Click “Apply” and then click, “OK”.

Step Fifteen: Double The Google Chrome Desktop Shortcut icon and enjoy using Google Chrome.

Hope this works for you… it worked for me, but I am by far from being an expert in any form of programming or Google Chrome Tweaking. I am just very happy to finally have it set as my default browser. Sometimes little things like this bug me. Finally I can truly give Google Chrome a run for its money and see what it is all about. I Made $11,000 Last Month How Much Did You Make?

Google is pretty damn cool. Everyone bitches at them about getting banned, smacked around, and treated badly and at times I do feel everyone’s pain. However, I have to say… Google is a class act in my book.

I’ll be honest, I am pretty terrible with money and keeping up with it and such. So anyway a few weeks ago, I got my all of my monthly checks in from the accounts I work with and today (three weeks later) I asked my wife to open all the checks and to give me a total on them.

Three of them are from Google AdSense. There was one Google AdSense check that caught my wife’s attention. It was for $4,265.17. Previously I had told her the totals of what to expect in the upcoming weeks, so she was caught off guard.

When she told me how much the check was for, I actually thought that Google had screwed up. One of the thoughts I had was maybe that mixed up my accounts (We have three separate Google accounts). Another thought was that it was simply an accounting error.

Anyway, I went to log into my accounts with Google and try to figure out why I received a check for over $4000 dollars. It took me a minute and then I saw this:

Well, it appears that I never deposited a check from a few months ago for $2075.53. That check finally expired and Google simply rolled that amount over and added it to my $2189.64 earnings.  Needless to say, it was kinda funny thinking that Google had made an accounting error. As it turned out, it was me that made the accounting error because I never deposited a $2000 dollar check. With that said though, I think it is really cool that a billion dollar company can keep up with my inability to manage money. Google AdSense rocks!

So technically because of this little boost, we have over $11,000 dollars in checks to deposit. Maybe I need to take a minute to stop blogging and get off my ass and go to the bank? So what do you do with the money that you make online? Do you deposit it, do you spend it, do you save it? Or, do you do what I do and say, “nah… I don’t need it and just let the checks expire?” You might wonder why I don’t just set up direct deposit… I don’t know, it’s something about holding the physical check in my hand that gives me more of a rewarding feeling for what I do. Maybe it might be in my best interest to at least get them deposited into the bank.  I’ll try to do better. ;)

Flipping Blog Scams MMO Niche is Full of Jerks

Over the past year I have seen quite a few blogs in the Make Money Online Niche get sold to newbies who are inspired to make something happen within this business of Internet marketing and blog monetization. Unfortunately, I am starting to see a trend in the behaviors of flipping MMO blogs and I am not very happy with it or the people behind it at all.

I caught wind of some events that took place recently, well actually two separate transactions that I was absolutely not pleased with. Beware folks, the days of getting scammed out of $19.95 for a crappy and useless eBook are over. Guys and Gals, welcome to the wonderful era of domain name flipping.

It is a shady and sneaky business and it shows its ass even more in the MMO niche. It seems that scamming people out of a $20 dollar bill for an eBook just isn’t quite good enough these days. Now we have little maggot MMO slime balls buy domains, launch a blog, run it for a few months while manipulating the statistics and then put it up for sale in SitePoint for an individual to purchase it who is lead to believe the site is the best thing in the world.
