A Personal Letter To My Readers From Garry Conn
Back when I was growing up and mainly as a teen, I remember how popular Mary Kay was. Mary Kay was so hyped up that even kids and young teens knew about them and also knew that people made money by reselling their products. Still to this day, Mary Kay continues to grow. Now I am sure that by now it may be a little more competitive and difficult to make money with their program; however, that is not the point I am trying to make.

Many years ago when I first heard about Mary Kay and even still to this day, I see a lot of success in their business and equal amount of success in their affiliates. Why? Because people who join with Mary Kay are people who aren’t afraid of work and don’t expect to find this big red “Easy Button”. People who work for Mary Kay WORK! They contact their friends and family, they land accounts and follow up with repeat business. They establish a clientele and they work very hard every day towards building their stay at home and mobile business.
Jumping forward to today, for whatever the reason may be, people are freaking lazy and want things handed to them. Today people want to launch a web site (or blog) and the wake up the next day and have an instant money making machine.
Well you know what? WHO DOESN’T WANT THAT!!! But God Bless, come on people, the sooner you stop believing that this will happen, the sooner you’ll start inching forward towards achieving your dreams of scoring it big online.
The sooner you stop believing that you can learn how to make money online from a kid, the sooner you’ll be on your way towards making money online.
The sooner you stop allowing people to make you believe that search engine marketing and building a search engine friendly website is rocket science, the sooner you’ll be on your way towards making money online.
The sooner you stop wasting your time purchasing and downloading eBooks that promise you “Life’s Hard Earned Secrets For $9.95″, the sooner you’ll be on your way towards making money.
There are many wonderful programs that you can participate in towards making money online. However, ALL require you to work and work your ass off. If you’re game, then you’re in the right business. If you want a pity party about how you try and try to make money online and it never happens, then keep wasting away your hours, days, weeks, months and years towards searching for that perfect eBook that gives you all the answers.
You want a tip from me? Fine! Here is yet another tip.
Let’s look at PepperJam. I wrote a few blog posts about them in the past. It’s a free program to join and they have close to 100 programs to participate in. If you want to join, here is my referral link.
Now, in the beginning of this post I mentioned Mary Kay. What do people do affiliates do in the Mary Kay business? They sell. They build up their customers and promote the products that they have available to them. Are we on the same page? Great!
With PepperJam or other programs similar, you are giving a pool of different companies that you can choose to participate in. One of which is Jelly Belly!
Who in their right mind doesn’t like Jelly Beans? Honestly? Everyone loves Jelly Beans and everyone buys Jelly Beans. As it turns out, you can re-sell Jelly Belly’s products through PepperJam.
Does this sound stupid? If you think so, then again… you’re in the wrong business.
Join the Jelly Belly affiliate program, launch a new blog. In fact, I looked up the perfect domain name for you:

JellyBeanDiscounts.com is available. Buy this domain name. Launch a blog and then start work today! Start by building your blog, adding the different ads and banners made available via Jelly Belly’s affiliate program and then start writing content about Jelly Beans and how freaking wonderful jelly beans are and how everyone should buy jelly beans. Contact all your friends and family and tell them all about your website. Start doing social networking and making friends online and start getting your web site address known in the blogosphere and start coining yourself as “The Jelly Bean Guy or Girl” . Start your own brand, be the leader in the Jelly Bean blog niche… etc…
Does this sound stupid? Well, let me ask you this. What is more stupid? Launching a the most powerful web site (or blog) about Jelly Beans, or you continuing to believe that you can learn how to make money online from a 14 year old kid. Or continuing to believe what you read on all the leading SEO blogs, or continuing to waste time looking for the big red “Easy Button”.
The final point that I want to make to you is this. There is NO easy way to make money online, just as there is no easy way to make money OFFLINE. The sooner you start to realize this, the sooner you’ll move forward. Running a dot Com business is VERY much like running a brick and mortar business.
Work hard, but also balance that with working SMART. Stop believing what everyone tells you on the Internet. Most people who claim to be experts in making money online are only experts at taking yours. If you want to make money online, you need to create a valid business. Fortunately for you, there are tons of programs that you can choose to participate in. Some cost money to join while others are free.
Again if you’re interested in joining a program that is quickly taking the #1 spot for being the program that makes the most money for Garry Conn, then I encourage you to join. Here is my referral link.
I hope that I haven’t offended you too bad. But I wrote this letter out of frustration. I am very frustrated to see so many thousands of people want to learn how to make money online, yet fail to do so. This isn’t rocket science and the sooner you stop treating as if it were, then you’ll be more on your way towards jumping on that rocket and going for a ride of your life.

Wow, walk me through some old memories. I tried all that, not to get rich or anything but to add some income to the house. I did all but Mary Kay, ya know Princess House, Avon, Kitchen Gourmet companies, etc.
As far as blogging for money I understand your frustration. For months you’ve been telling us all, especially during the holidays and I think your biggest thing is you want everyone to take the ride beside you. But like you said, many are waiting to hear all about it, afraid to take the leap or just not wanting to do the work. Kind of like those that buy lottery tickets. Every week they pour money into it and every week they fail to guess the right numbers, instead they could use that money for something else, something that saves their money, stocks or buying a website for instance.
The biggest problem with many of us bloggers is that we want to know the easy way to achieve success. Hey, I’ll admit even I have fail prey to this, I think even you have. But it takes us a fall to the face (a lesson learned) or to see someone we know achieving the success we could before we actually do this. Great piece, even if it is a rant of frustration.
(Can ya tell I’m a bit on overdrive with four sick kids?)

Man I think that is awesome! For those that haven’t put two and two together just yet, Rich Cetta purchased the domain name, Jelly Bean Discounts dot Com after narrowly missing it in his RSS Reader, “actually clicked on your feed in my google reader (out of 109 unread)“, says Rich. The cool part about this, is the fact that this purchased was made for his wife as a gift and he will be using his day job talents to build her a beautiful place that she can call work at home. “I am actually a CMS administrator for a Health Care System” says Rich. As it turns out he is pretty savvy with Joomla.
Rich I think that is totally awesome with what you have done for you’re wife. I think you will have melted the hearts of all my female readers and as soon JellyBeanDiscounts.com is up and running, fire off an email and let me know, I’ll be sure to write a post all about it on my blog.

Garry, you know what I love about your blog? Your ranting. You know why? Because you are on the exact same wavelength as me. Everything you rant about is spot on and I agree on just about everything you write in anger. If only other bloggers had this refreshing attitude instead of trying to please the whole blogosphere then the internet would be a much better place to visit!

Garry, that’s kind of what I’ve done with my affiliate stores I told you about, Twinarama and Happy Beautiful Me, I’ve also started a blog in conjunction with HBM, and I’ve already gained a couple of readers and I’ve made some ebay affiliate sales. My sites are already indexed and I have been getting hits from keyword searches on Google.
I know this money making thing isn’t going to happen over night, and I know that I have to work very hard, making sure that I continue to provide quality content for my readers. What I’m trying to do, is to just forget about all of the money and just try to enjoy what I do. And if I get to a point where I don’t enjoy it anymore, I’m going to stop, simple as that.
I’ll be joining PepperJam today BTW! And good luck to Rich and his new project for his wife, here’s hoping that his new site becomes very profitable for him. And I can’t wait to see it up and running! And yes Garry, I’m totally melting!

Dude. Sweet.
The problem is that sleazy people can make money telling other people that there are easy ways to make money. What we need to do is figure out how to discredit the envelope licking program guys.
