Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me and my website. I am 36 years old--yes, I wrote a script for that: see here--and enjoy working with computers and learning as much as I can about Linux and programming. I am happily engaged--soon to be married if she doesn't come to her senses and change her mind--and have three kids--they're welcome to leave at any time j/k ;).
In my spare time when I am not working or doing things with the family I tend to tinker around with computer systems. I know... pretty boring right? There are few people that actually like this stuff and I happen to be one of them. I absolutely love working with computers and I get a kick out doing weird things with them such as building and maintaining my own line of web servers that run full time inside my home-office closet.
A great way to learn even more about me is to read my website. I publish a lot of super cool things about computers, Linux, programming, web design and SEO. The best way to keep in touch and updated is to subscribe to my RSS Feed. Lastly, please feel free to contact me at any time to tell me more about yourself or about something that's on your mind. In the mean time, I want to thank you again for taking the time to learn more about me. If you're interested, below are some pictures of the Linux systems I enjoy playing around with in my spare time.
This is where I do must of my work and have the most fun. I figured it might be interesting to show you the place where I do all the mysterious and magical things I do.
The picture above is my desktop and workstation computer. It's the heart to everything I do, so I figured that you might want to see it. Nothing to speak of though --it's just a common office desk, two monitors, set of speakers and a Dell tower (not shown) running Debian.
The photo on the left is my IPCop firewall and router. It distributes safe Internet throughout my house. I have three wired/ wireless networks within the house. Green: is the safest. Blue: kinda safe and kinda slower. I use Blue for my home surveillance web cam servers that I have strewn all over the place (yes, my house, garage, attic, and outside are all on the grid. You can barely take a dump in my house without me seeing it. Orange: Dedicated 1000Mbps network devoted to my backup, mail, MySQL and web servers. Last network, White: this is a dedicated super fast network for within my office. Just like Orange, 10/100 devices and cables are not allowed in White. The photo to the right shows a few of my servers. Shown in the picture is a web server, bottom row left, mail server, bottom row right, backup server top row left, and MySQL database server, top row right.
Thanks for your interest in learning more about me. You are welcome to contact me any time with questions or comments.
