Alexa and Technorati Trade
My site is only a few month old, yet it receives in the area of 200,000 page views per month now. The site still has a Google PageRank of 2; however, prediction reports are indicating that this will update to a PageRank of 5 (hopefully).
Even with the low Google PageRank, ReviewMe.com has still approved my site and feels that my personal posts and reviews are worth $60. In my opinion, that is really not bad for a blog being only a few months old.
The reason why my site got approved on ReviewMe.com despite having a low Google PageRank I believe is because my Alexa and Technorati rankings covered the difference. I am not too sure how ReviewMe.com determines which sites to approve and which sites to decline, but I do now that there are three important factorizations: Google PageRank, Technorati Ranking, and Alexa Ranking. Luckily for my site, the latter of the two were high enough to get approved. Maybe ReviewMe.com also can get a general idea of a site’s traffic?
Anyway, I wrote this post because I would like your help. In exchange for your help, I will help you in return. I am looking for people who will visit Alexa.com and write a review for my site. In exchange I will do the same for you on your site. Secondly, I am looking for people who will add my site to their Technorati Favorites… and again, I will do the same for you.

Visit Alexa [click here] and scroll down to the bottom of the page. Look for the “Write a Review” link towards the bottom. Please write a nice review about my site. It doesn’t have to be a novel… just something short and sweet. After you write an Alexa review for my site, just drop me a quick comment using the form below to let me know. From there, I will do the same for you.

To everyone, I didn’t realize that you had to purchase something from Amazon.com in the past in order to have the ability to write reviews on Alexa.com. I soon realized that quickly after Jennifer wrote a review for me and I went to do one for her. I went ahead and purchased a baby book for my little one… no big deal. But, I wanted to say, even if you can’t write a review for my site… drop me a comment and I will do a review on your site either way.

No problem! Who hasn’t bought something on Amazon before? Isn’t this the 21st century?!?
I know… but it threw me for a loop and didn’t want people to think I was forcing them to buy something on Amazon.com or promoting them.
It must have been a long time since my last purchase (maybe too long) because Alexa.com wasn’t allowing me to do reviews without making a purchase… I decided to purchase a baby book for my little one and spent $9.00 and all is good.

That is funny that you mentioned that. I had an old copy of Photoshop 6 lying around for a long time. I am not very good with Graphics or using Photoshop for that matter. Do you know of any real quick and simple tutorial pages for learning how to use Photoshop 6? Google pulls up too many sites that try to sell things and I just haven’t had much time to really search for articles and references for learning Photoshop. Perhaps you have a few?
