Announcements on 04-16-07

Hey everyone,

A Quick Announcement. In the next day or so, I am going to be making an update to the site. If you can take a moment to click on the brain on the top left side of the page, you will be linked to a page that has a tag cloud on it. Eventually my home page will be that page.

Don’t get alarmed and don’t go updating bookmarks… nothing will change in the URL structure of the site. My home page will still be my home page, but the only difference is that my home page will soon be a static page instead of a the current page as you see it now (a post page).

The reason for this update is to help my continuing expansion of the things I write about on the site. By updating my home page to a static page, I am better able to direct you to content you more specifically interested in. You may be interested in reading about SEO tips and tricks while another viewer wants to read about Alexa tips and tricks. With the update, you will quickly be able to navigate to sections of my site that interest you the most.

Another benefit is that there will be a most recent post listing for each section of my site. So if you are an avid reader of my Google SEO section you can actually view my most recent Google SEO posts and filter out the rest. The same goes with RSS feeds… each section of the site has it’s own RSS feed.

Of course, if you are interested in everything I write, you can continue to read my full RSS feed and view the global most recent posts direct from the home page.

I am sorry to alarm you by making a change… but I am sure that you will appreciate the update after a day or so. And also, RSS subscribers shouldn’t see any difference.
