I tried using AGLOCO many months ago… I wrote a post about it and was pretty excited about it, but then quickly discovered that there was ZERO documentation on their site that told people how much they will make. I bailed out of the program after using it for about a week. I flooded quite a bit of traffic to their site and gained about 100 sign ups. All to no avail….
If you have trouble reading the above screen shot, I have quoted the text below:
Dear Garry,
We would like to update you on the status of AGLOCO’s operations. We continue to believe in the AGLOCO concept, but our revenue is currently not sufficient to give Members a meaningful distribution. And though there are increases in membership, the resulting revenue is not enough to support operating costs. As a development team we are unable to continue to use our savings to fund the operations. If any Member would like to pursue continuing the operations of AGLOCO, you may contact us at agloco1 [@] live.com.
We would like to thank every Member for supporting our effort to bring a piece of the Internet directly to the user. We hope that we can find a way to keep the operations going.
AGLOCO Development Team
Chalk it up as yet another MMO program failure.

Good old John Chow… yes indeed… I signed up through him as well! LOL
@ Christine,
The theory behind it was pretty cool. Even Chris Pirillo had a video about Agloco. But, like the statement says,
In other words, they had no advertisers. Kinda sucks for all the people that promoted them willingly for free. If this was a valid means of marketing, then it should have been a success. Agloco had a wonderful subscription base… and their failure was trying to bring back old school promotions that already failed once in the late 90’s / early 2000’s.

Do you mean to say that the big dogs were hoarding all the sign ups and loot? If so, then I can see your angle on that.
