Agloco.com is Going Out of Business

I tried using AGLOCO many months ago… I wrote a post about it and was pretty excited about it, but then quickly discovered that there was ZERO documentation on their site that told people how much they will make. I bailed out of the program after using it for about a week. I flooded quite a bit of traffic to their site and gained about 100 sign ups. All to no avail….
If you have trouble reading the above screen shot, I have quoted the text below:
Dear Garry,
We would like to update you on the status of AGLOCO’s operations. We continue to believe in the AGLOCO concept, but our revenue is currently not sufficient to give Members a meaningful distribution. And though there are increases in membership, the resulting revenue is not enough to support operating costs. As a development team we are unable to continue to use our savings to fund the operations. If any Member would like to pursue continuing the operations of AGLOCO, you may contact us at agloco1 [@] live.com.
We would like to thank every Member for supporting our effort to bring a piece of the Internet directly to the user. We hope that we can find a way to keep the operations going.
AGLOCO Development Team
Chalk it up as yet another MMO program failure.

This is one I signed up for in the beginning when John Chow had mentioned it on his site, however once the big launch I realized it wouldn’t go anywhere. There were just too many miscommunications on their part. I do hope they have success the next time they give it a go though.
This was also talked about in the PPC world (pay per click), and I thought it sounded like a load of crap then. I did sign up, but I honestly didn’t do much with it.
I should have stuck with my instincts and not even bothered. LOL
@ Eliza,
Good old John Chow… yes indeed… I signed up through him as well! LOL
@ Christine,
The theory behind it was pretty cool. Even Chris Pirillo had a video about Agloco. But, like the statement says,
In other words, they had no advertisers. Kinda sucks for all the people that promoted them willingly for free. If this was a valid means of marketing, then it should have been a success. Agloco had a wonderful subscription base… and their failure was trying to bring back old school promotions that already failed once in the late 90’s / early 2000’s.
it just didn’t make any sense. the top few were making way too much for it to be worthwhile for everyone
Bloggernoob,
Do you mean to say that the big dogs were hoarding all the sign ups and loot? If so, then I can see your angle on that.
I had a bad feeling about Agloco from the beginning. I didn’t promote it, and now I’m so glad I didn’t waste my time.
Kelly, just like any program that says it’ll make money… I wish that is had of worked. But, we all now know that it didn’t… unfortunately, there is no market for this kind of advertising, otherwise it would have worked. Heck… we all had the thing installed at one point in time… I guess the ball was dropped on Agloco’s end for not finding advertisers…
Well, you are probably right. And yes, I did install the viewbar for a while, but I didn’t like it very much, plus…I had no downline to speak of, so I didn’t figure I’d make much anyway.
Same here… I had it installed for about a week and then kinda knew that this was NOT going to work! LOL!!!
You have a pretty design on your blog, I love the feather on top left.
Sad but true i signed up too -and that was through an email from mr adsense himself Joel Comm.
it did show a lot of potential -however it just wasn’t quite ready.
Wow… you know, I can quickly see how Agloco might be upsetting quite a few people. We all did do quite a bit of free advertising for them and now there is nothing to show for it.
I know people who had spent lot of time and money to get referrals, well feel bad for them but really the business which is only looking to get people from such kind of referral was never looking too promising afterall. May be expanding too fast was there problem… RIP Agloco
