Are You Blogging About Christmas?

blogging-about-christmas

You DO want to make money, don’t you??? Are you blogging about Christmas yet? If not, then you must not want to make money. I spent about an hour this morning visiting a lot of my regular reader’s blogs, and I can’t find any posts related to Christmas… then I thought, well maybe my readers have separate blogs for this… Nope! I did IP address searches, Domain name ownership searches, etc… there are no blogs about Christmas.

Why are you guys NOT blogging about Christmas? Do you not read my blog posts? This is niche blogging at its best. A few weeks ago, I offered up some killer tips on how I made a ton of money blogging about Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Additionally, I even created a warm and comforting YouTube video that assured you that you have NOT missed the band wagon. You can still blog about Christmas, After Christmas as well as New Years.

I hear crickets people… you guys want to learn, but I don’t see anyone acting. Eliza, Christine and Brennan as well as David Cooley and Mark Sierra are working on expanding out of their MMO comfort zone niche… lets rock and roll people… there is money to be made and bills to pay!!

I am honestly not trying to sound rude… but I am trying to give you guys a “Wake Up Call”. While doing so, I still wonder why I even give these answers away…

Blogging is easy… forget about SEO, forget about making sure all your permalink structure is correct, forget about having a perfect theme… just blog!!! A bad blog about Christmas is better than NO blog about Christmas. You can work out all the details later…

Content is content no matter how you present it within the realm of a theme or permalink structure. Content always remains the same after its posted regardless of how and when you decide to change the look or feel of your blog.

PS It wouldn’t hurt to buy yourself a copy of Micro Niche Finder for Christmas. :)

Good kick in the butt. Even the elves are sneaking off between their shifts wrapping presents for Santa to have a quick blog.

Cheers Gary.

You are so right Garry. I get caught up in having to know everything about a topic before just doing it.

The wonderful gift of blogging is that fact that you can write about anything you want. I think where I was failing as a blogger was in understanding that. Granted, you need to write about topics that interest your readers, but if you enjoy writing random things about stuff you see in Walmart… blog about it! If it starts to interfere with your normal type of content on one particular blog, then start a new blog that concentrates just on that. :)

The wonderful thing about the holidays is they tie in with EVERYTHING that could ever be blogged about. Top 10 holiday gifts for whatever: Cybergeeks, moms, dads, kids, gadgets, etc. What can you get for that person that has everything. Top 5 items that’ll be bought this year for the cyber nut, domain names for christmas, etc. I’m loving it, even homemom is about to get hit with the holiday bug. :)

Speaking of Wal-mart ya’ll should head over to the http://www.checkoutblog.com and read all the wal-mart specials. I know Garry mentioned this diamond mine (of sales) the other day.

I have a holiday website http://www.holidayfunforthefamily.com that I’m testing some stuff on.
I started it right before Thanksgiving, and I’m getting roughly 50-60 hits a day now. Not much, but this is a learning process.

Forgive me, Blog Father, for I have sinned. It has been months since I made a buck with Adsense. Sometimes, when no one is watching…[sob]…I Google myself. I know I should spend more time writing about Christmas and such, but I just can’t help giving in to the temptation of finding my ranking on any given day. But I have seen the error of my ways. I promise to do better.

LOL

@ Mark,

What’s next are you going to try to tickle me??? LOL!!!

@ Cary,

I enjoyed visiting your holiday blog… Looks very nice and very holiday friendly. Nice work!!! Great niche blog…

Are your writing the content yourself? 50 - 60 isn’t too bad.. keep it up. This is mainly search traffic I would guess, right?

@Cary
Hey, that is a nice blog. In fact, I have plans for a blog that’s similar in purpose. I’ll make a note to contact you when it’s ready. Perhaps you’d be interested in doing a link exchange?

You’re very welcome. I enjoy your blog daily and you have tons of fantastic ideas which I just love! Ah, and I wanted to ask -about your Recent posts list from favorite blogs - how did you put those feeds in one with excerpts? You used some online tool or coded yourself something?

I have been blogging about Christmas like crazy for the last month on my Animal Rescue site and I’ve been telling parents how to prepare for Christmas vacation on my Education site. BUT I don’t have either site monetized. Gee! I do one thing right, then I forget the most important part!
