I haven’t posted in three days, very sorry about that. I have been pretty busy with some online developments. This post will showcase a website that I just built. Now that I have this site built, I have a main template, source code infrastructure, and business model that I can roll out on the rest of my aviation sites.
If you have been reading my blog and following my progress with my online developments, you probably already know that I am hitting aviation and aircraft sales hard and heavy. As it stands, I have close to 100 independent aircraft related sites online. Most of these sites are traditional blogs running WordPress. I have professional writers who maintain these blogs on a regular basis.
My business is changing. Don’t get me wrong, blogs are great! Especially WordPress blogs. However, to make the largest impact on my niche, I have to stay ahead of the times. What I have developed is a website that takes full advantage of many leading technologies and combines them all into one very useful and powerful source of information. With this “mash up” I can now bundle up what I have done with my prototype site and roll it out into the rest of my aviation sites. I can’t tell you all my secrets, but here is a brief overview of my first site.
Cessna172Sales.com is a website that makes the lives easier for people who are in the market to purchase a Cessna 172 aircraft or who are just curious and simply want to learn more about the airplane. The website crawls the Internet and scans many source sites to deliver to the front line some very useful information about the Cessna 172 airplane.
The main object of the site is to provide a constantly updated and accurate stream of Cessna 172 aircraft for sale. However, some other key elements of the site make it extremely useful for people who aren’t wanting to purchase but would rather just learn more about the plane. The site has many streams of information related to the Cessna 172. When you visit the site, you will find a stream of Cessna 172 photos, videos and even news. These streams are constantly updated with new information as it becomes available.
The website takes full advantage of RSS/XML technology as well as many other technological forms of programming. The core of the website is powered in a collaborative mash up using leading sources of information. Also, everyone knows how much I enjoy WordPress and that technology has been thrown into the mix as well.
Over the span of a few weeks, I am going to be incorporating this base into my remaining aviation related sites. The final stage of this migration is to provide a seamless transition from site to site. Meaning, if I attract visitors to particular site who have stronger interests in content found on another, they will be able to navigate quickly and easily to the site that contains the most relevant source of information they are seeking.
Anyway, I am very sorry for not posting on my blog for three days, I am sure you now understand why!

Thanks man… I have a total of two websites built. It took me a pretty long time to build the first site. I didn’t finish it up until a few hours ago. The good news is that the second site only took about an hour to build! I am totally excited about that. I can’t wait to fuse all the sites into a seamless connection.

From this point on, its honestly “Drag, Drop, Configure and Forget”. The site will run itself. My paid writers publish content that dumps into a main data pool, from there each website I have will search the content pool and pull the content that is relevant for the site. This is done in conjunction with pulling content for other relevant sources on the Internet. All in all… once I “Drag, Drop, Configure and Forget”, the site will run by itself. My only expense is paying my writers.
In the upcoming weeks, I plan on branching out and will start to target many other niche markets. I already have many domain names purchased that cover a very broad range of topics including: real-estate, automotive, jewelry and watches, and many more…
As always, I will keep readers updated with my progress with my online business ventures.

I can see now why you wanted that Yahoo Pipes video. Great job of utilizing the tools available. Pipes can really cut the development time down and give you the results you need quickly. Here is an example of an Ebay search page I am testing that is a mashup of Pipes and Ebay API. You can change the variable at the end of the link to call any product.

Lets just say that your video was extremely helpful! lol and if my aviation sites as well as the sites that you are working on isn’t a “Wake Up” call for many people, then I don’t know what is!
Thanks for all your help… thanks to you for making all this possible for me. I seriously couldn’t have done this without you. If fact, our friendship so far of 6 months has enabled me to expand on my abilities. I have always been a creative person; however, in the dot Com world, being able to take your creativity and execute it into practice is a huge challenge when you don’t have skills in programming or other aspects of web technology. You are awesome and thank you so much and everything that you do! It wouldn’t surprise me to see tons of people migrating to your site for awhile!
I’ll tell you one thing, its no skin off anyones back to subscribe to feeds… I can’t begin to tell you how many I subscribed to in a day. This is one FEED everyone should subscribe to!

Garry, I think I learn more from a few posts of yours compared to the other bloggers who talk about making money online but do not offer any useful insights on how to make it into a long term business empire. Great to see you steadily evolving – I’ve not come across anyone talking about having a pool of content for a number of niche sites and they just pull related stuff up from there! It’s a way of building a powerful network that just swarms and keeps people within your various sites – brilliant. (Ok if this is old stuff, I’m new tho’
)
Gotta check into more of this stuff and figure out how you do it.

I think there is a key to this thread that should not be overlooked. The word is “website”. Everyone goes crazy with Blogs, and for good reason, but, good a ol’ website done right can still be a great income source that is nice and steady!

Yes… that is the “Wake Up Call”. Its one thing to have a blog… blogs are great! But if you can create a way to empower and take the strengths of a blog and then take the strengths of many other elements websites and then combine them into one unit… all coupled with advanced ways of feeding the unit with unique and useful content, then I believe you have a money maker.

Just curious – are you really into aircraft or are the CPC’s just awesome? I’ve never researched it, nor have I ever heard anything about that niche.
