BlackBerry Curve VS Apple iPhone - Which Is Better?

Though Iphone GUI is good and Has huge disk space. I prefer BlackBerry, they are just awesome.

You sure you’re not posting this for the keywords? I think there is a war that is about to break out between these two phone systems.
I don’t own either yet, hope to get one of them in the near future (my phone is 3 years old), but I kind of lean towards the iPhone. I have read that many newer phone do have a much higher resolution screen than the iPhone though.
Have you looked and the little Sony laptop? It is not much bigger than a phone and is basically a very tiny laptop.
I’ll be interested to see what you end up with.

I really don’t know how much insight.I,am able to give u about thee Iphone device.I have recently purchase.I,am still experimenting with thee device.I must say it has its flaws.For example:wi-fi sucks,certian things u can’t download through safari.whatever that is.Certian movies or video clips can’t be viewed.There’s a old version of macromedia flash player install in this device.basically everything u want a phone. I can say its here in the device.

In response to the don’t haves -

-Get a unlimited data plan so theres no need for wifi.
-Find and download a stock and weather program if you need it.
-I have 8310 and it’s got the camera and pics obviously.

my curve has a 4gb mem stick. another rumor is the new version of the os will support up to 8gb of mem. The newer version of s/w will have video and voice. with just my 4gbs of mem thats 2hrs of vid with specs comparible to the flip.

honestly its what you choose but i felt the iphone was a cool gadget and my curve is a efficient tool. i carry two phones one for work and one for personal. when my contract comes up on the PERSONAL i may get the iphone but will continue to WORK off my bberry.

1. Don’t forget that you are limited to ATT as your provider. I personally used to work for them and they are ok but you get a lot more for your money and better service with other providers.

2. The Iphone is probably better for general internet access. The BB uses Opera mini for a browser.

3. Email there is no comparison. Blackberry all the way. Especially if you use Outlook. Your Calendar and Contacts will auto sync. Plus you can have up to 10 email address forward to your blackberry and use gmail, yahoo, hotmail, outlook all from one place.

At this time, the iPhone would be the best for these capabilities including the browser, but you may have a lot of trouble typing. I previously wanted the ATT Tilt aka HTC 8925 (unbranded and unlocked) because it has a big screen, all the bluetooth and GPS function, and it has a slide out QWERTY keyboard. Because of the $400-600 price tag a few months back, I purchased the O2 XDA Flame for $300 from my wife’s father. The O2 XDA Flame has a huge screen with an NVIDIA videocard with one of the fastest cell phone processors. The only problem is there is no keyboard and the on screen touch for keyboard is very small.

Instead of looking for phones that are in the “MARKET”, I suggest trying http://howardforums.com/ to find phones that are NOT branded and not in the market of cell phone carriers. Your best bet is those phones are more expensive, but have capabilities that are very very close to mobile computers. Also, search for more HTC model phones. There is one that is a portable computer/phone with I think a 4-5″ screen w/ slide out keyboard. The price is about $1000, but you get what you pay for.

Reason: “REAL” web browsing… I waited in line for hours to get mine on iDay last year, and i’ve loved it ever since..
I hear rumors that if you wait for the new v2 iphone it will be something like $200 less…
Go to the apple store and play with one and you’ll love it..

I think in terms of the internet the I phone is supperior. Email wise the Blackberry is king, but honestly, for what you’re describing I think the I phone would suit you better. That being said, the problem with phones is as soon as you buy one another better one comes out……

I think that you should get the iPhone. The web browser is great since it has multitouch. The Software development kit should be available soon. I’m seriously considering one but since I said:
“I probably will not buy one”
I’m going to be eating my own words. I wrote an article on other phones that use Linux or other OS’s on The Linux Blog (http://www.thelinuxblog.com/phones-meet-linux/) and if the OpenMoko was stable I would probably get one of those, but your point of wanting to be able to make calls kind of voids this option since they are still fine tuning it. But again, I need a new phone soon so I’m considering the iPhone since it does all that I need it to do and then some.

blackberry hands down, iphone is too ponsy and fragile lol

Gary: I tried my nephew’s iPhone and had trouble typing on the keyboard. Also, at $400, I couldn’t justify it when I could pick up a BB Curve for $99. I don’t use the browser because it is just too slow, but it is fabulous for everything else, esp. email. It doesn’t drop calls & has good sound quality. My nephew actually has whole movies and dozens of music CD’s loaded onto his iPhone. That part is pretty amazing. But I don’t care about any of that. I just wanted to have access to my email at all times.

The next generation iPhone is scheduled for later this year so I will check it out and perhaps upgrade then as it would be nice to have a fast browser available without having to carry a laptop around and look for wireless access.
