I used Windows LiveWriter for a long time, but about two hours ago I decided to update to the most current version. It was pretty cool, but for some reason, I couldn’t publish to my blog using the new version of Windows LiveWriter. Oh well… I am using BlogDesk now, so we’ll just have to see how well this program works. So far, I have to admit, I am pretty impressed.
It seems to be pretty functional and I can do a lot of fun things with the program. Out of the box, I can see that there are many features available with BlogDesk that were not available to me using LiveWriter. On the flipside though, there were many new features with the new version of LiveWriter that are not found with BlogDesk.
All in all, I am open to using BlogDesk. It seems to be very stable and hopefully it won’t write terrible code that Windows LiveWriter does. I have been battling that for awhile.
Well, wish me luck and lets see if BlogDesk can do the job for me!
So that covers blog publishing software; however, I have been real curious about web conferencing software. Lately, I have been talking to a lot of people via instant messenger. And to be honest, as much as people think instant messengers are cool, they do have their share of downfalls. I have a ReviewMe.com account. And on occasion I do check their market place to see what kind of campaigns are running. I couldn’t believe how perfect the timing was. I stumbled upon AccuConference. It is very strange how some situations work in life. I have been wanting to find a conference call service specifically, a company who provides web conferencing in order to help me be more efficient when I communicate with people on the Internet. Commonly, with using instant messengers, I am finding that I am having multiple conversations with individual people in which we typically all talk about the same thing. It would make better sense to join everyone into a web conference where we all can talk together at the same time. Instant messengers can get a little overwhelming, especially if you have multiple windows open and talking to multiple people at the same time.
AccuConference as quoted from their site, “offers quality conference call services with industry-leading customer support. You can choose from any conference call packages and receive the tools you need to keep your participants engaged. If you’re not 100% satisfied with your conference call, then you won’t pay - guaranteed!” I don’t know what you think, but that all sounds pretty cool to me. What sounds even better is the fact that AccuConference provides a free demonstration of their service. Additionally, for all your bloggers who like to make money online, AccuConference provides an affiliate program that allows you to gain some extra cash by selling their wonderful services and programs. If you are interested in web conferencing, I would check out my ReviewMe.com sponsor, AccuConference and see what they can offer you.

Using the native editor you can do the same things, and then changing computers or devices to post are a non issue.
I have always wanted to be free of my desktop as much as possible. If I have to change computers, or mine crashes, I want to be functional in the shortest amount of time.
I realize this probably stems from 20 years of dealing with ever changing hardware and OS’s. Every time I got comfortable, either the OS changed, or the PC crashed, lol.

Thanks for dropping the comment. I actually from time to time use both. I enjoy using desktop applications for their ease of use and their added functionality otherwise I would have to write the HTML code by hand.
It’s just a preference. Many people use the default Wordpress post editor, and I just enjoy using desktop publishing software. I can write posts offline and save them when I am offline, I can produce some really nice looking articles.
There is nothing wrong with using desktop apps or web based apps. I believe that it all stems down to personal preference.
Some people like cars, others like trucks… both will get you from point A to point B.
