Business Blog Consulting

Everyday I often wonder why businesses don’t take advantage of blogging. Blogs are a very powerful way to broadcast anything you want to a huge audience and do so very cheaply. A few days ago I found out that Walmart finally launched a blog. It was totally cool to discover that and I basically said to myself, “It’s about time!!!”.

I really wonder why many major companies don’t take advantage of blogs? The concept is definitely making its way up the corporate ladder. I would vision that many entry level employees have personal blogs and they may tell their managers about their blogging experience, from there management might communicate this up to regional management etc.. etc.. etc… I don’t know?

The point is, I am very surprised to see that many companies don’t take advantage of blogging and would rather spend more money on lesser effective forms of marketing.

Does business blog consulting exist? I am sure I could point a few companies in the right direction. Perhaps that is a service I could start providing, What do you think?

I think that there could be a market for blogging consultants. That could be a nice little job but I imagine it would be a lot of traveling. It would probably also involve training employees with blogging software and practices. I think that well established bloggers with business knowledge could probably pull it off.

Maybe you’re on to something here.

I actually do this with both local friends, family as well blog friends on the Internet. I don’t see to much different other than the fact that I would be getting paid.

Do you also see how it is strange that many major companies haven’t taken advantage of blogging?

I think some companies are starting to utilise blogs, I’ve had one electronics company blog contact me about reviewing their products - seems like a good form of marketing for these big companies to me.
