Check out CyberCoder dot Net
It sure is weird seeing the cards that life deals you. Earlier this year, around six months ago… I was a stubborn fool still using MsPaint. I had Adobe PhotoShop installed on my computer for years. Every once in awhile I opened the program and took a shot at learning it. But, I never had the time or the motivation to learn.
Anyway, there finally came a time when I said to myself, “Dude… you can’t keep using MsPaint, this is childish and ridiculous!” It’s true, I was able to produce some pretty cool graphics using MsPaint. But my best graphic made in Paint is nothing compared to a graphic made in Adobe Photoshop.
Anyway, I don’t consider myself a PhotoShop expert by far… but I think I can do a pretty good job. And I definitely feel that I am at a level to where I can offer a paid graphical design service to people.
My good blog buddy, David Cooley, aka CyberCoder, was in need of a redesign on his blog. He knew it, I knew it… but you know how that goes. 24 hours in a day… and each hour slips away like they were minutes. But, yesterday afternoon, I sent him an instant message and asked him if he wanted to finally go ahead and redesign the site. I had some free time and I thought that maybe he did to. As it turned out, we both had the available time to knock it out. After a few hours, the site looks great! I made his header graphic for him and together we talked about many other aspects of the design. You have got to see the final product it looks awesome.
Here is the graphic I made for CyberCoder.net

And as the name indicates… David Cooley, aka CyberCoder, knows a lot about coding, programming and the Internet. He has changed a lot of my views and strategies on how I develop and design my sites. The guy is smart… he knows his stuff and he is a good friend. And make no mistake, even though I created this graphic for him, David is actually a very creative artist. But you know how creating graphics go, especially doing one for your own site. It can be a little difficult to picture what you want in your head. David does know how to use PhotoShop, probably better than me! But he was getting that classic ”artist’s blank canvas syndrome” so I told David, “Man, I know you pretty well… and I think I have a pretty good idea of what you like, let me take a stab at it…” . I made the graphic and sure enough, he liked it.
David is a huge contributor to the Internet community. In March of this year, Google referred to David Cooley as “The Inventor of the Google Video Bar“. Google displayed his wonderful contribution on their Google API Community Sample Page. The Google Ajax API team is lead by a very smart and intelligent individual named, Mark Lucovsky. He is a very skilled software developer and formally had a career with Microsoft and played an active roll in the development of the Windows NT operating system. Now he offers his skills and intelligence to Google. I can imagine he is a very busy individual, yet he makes time to share his thoughts with the community on his personal blog.
David has incorporated many of his API skills into his personal blog. His page that provides information on Wordpress Themes is just one of many excellent examples of how amazing this technology is. With this same technology I am able to tell the world about some awesome and compelling facts about the 2008 Shelby Cobra. Using this technology I provide people with a page that tells you everything there is about a 1954 Dehavilland Beaver. You can see a file photo, watch relevant videos. I took things a step further and gave people the ability to even listen and hear what a Dehavilland Beaver sounds like. Using this technology, I have been developing a huge airplane engine sounds archive where not only can anyone go to listen to hear what many airplanes sound like, but they can also see videos of the airplane provided by YouTube and Google Video submissions. Additionally the pages provide relevant search results direct from the blogosphere.
All in all, David has been an amazing friend. I have learned a lot with being friends with CyberCoder. I have learned more in the last two months then I have learned all year. I am the type of guy who tends to associate myself around very smart and intelligent people and David Cooley is full of very creative and bright ideas. He is very intelligent and I totally recommend visiting and bookmarking his site and subscribing to his RSS feed.

[...] seems to always chase the rainbow. I don’t have a lot of time today to write a lengthy novel, CyberCoder’s post drained most of my fuel from my writing tank today! lol!! (Thanks a lot there buddy!!!) [...]
Wow, I am honored. I am sure I will get a bill to have all those nice things said about me, lol.
Thanks for all your help and it has been a lot of fun working with someone of your skill level. It is always interesting to work with others on projects and see the different ways there are to do things.
Nice examples of how you are using the Google AJAX API on your sites, keep up the great work!
Its really crazy for me to be on the outside looking in on the two of you. It really seems like you both accent each other… I see some extreme jumps forward for both of you soon. The Blog community should take note… Maybe thats what we all need is a Blog Dream Team!!! Lol…
