Computer Liquidation Sales

Everyone wants to get computers cheap. Have you ever searched for computer liquidation sales? You would be surprised to see the deals that come up. Dell, just for an example, offers a computer liquidation on their older computers. Most are warranty returns and refund items that have been inspected and repackaged. The end result is that you get a computer with the same warranties as a brand new computer for a lot less!

You can literally save hundreds of dollars search through many computer liquidation sales. If you don’t have to have the most current computer model with all the bells and whistles and mainly just need a dependable and fast computer, it might be worth your time in investigating.

Visit Dell.com and check out their refurbished computer section. Also it might interest you to check ebay as well. With eBay you might want to research the seller and review their feedback rating as you are not dealing with a big corporation. Although with eBay being such as established place, they really do offer a very safe shopping environment for buyers.

If you don’t have to have the latest and greatest computer system what other ways do you know how to find good deals on computers?

Interesting that you mention this Garry. A few years back, I useto run a business, reselling liquidated computers.

You can get such great bargains buying second hand computers this way. Most big companies replace their computer stock every 1 or 2 years, and resell the old ones at auctions.

In Australia we have a couple of great auction houses that auction of computers on a weekly basis.

People should really look into this.

Cheers

John

Many years ago I had a lot of fun reselling computers. I would actually purchase in bulk from businesses who were getting rid of their old systems. I would actually aquire these systems for next to nothing because they were typically in a position to where they just needed to rid of them.

Get this… there are businesses that actually charge money to dispose of computers! Might seem strange as it did for me at first, but I can now see why as proper disposal of computers and parts can be somewhat of a chore. You can’t just throw a computer away in the garbage… well, you’re not supposed to, but people do.

I have purchased a few refurbished computers in the past at Auction which were great value. I think however that you do require at least an intermidiate knowledge of computers to be able to pick between whats good and whats not. I have also noticed that some of the Auction houses only offer a 3 month warranty so that is probably something too look out for.

It is also probably a good idea to run some basic hardware diagnostics on things like memory and hard disk drive. You can get basic diagnostic software from http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/ which will allow you to test your hard drive and memory.

Im still in the computer, Cisco and network equipment reselling business and business are taking the removal and either resale or disposal of their excess equipment very seriously. Companies interested in recycling require a liquidator like ourselves to comply with with DOD Standard of Disk Drive Wiping. Its still a good business to buy and resell as long as you follow the letter of the law. No company wants its surplus endingup in a landfill somewhere.
