Before I go into details about how you can win a 100% totally free copy of this amazing software, I want to take a moment and tell you more about how my life was back when my wife and I first met. It is kind of a sad story, but I feel that it will allow you to better connect with me as a person.

The Life of Garry Conn In His Early Twenties

In this modern day we live in we frequently see commercials on TV and hear ads on the radio about credit card debt. For me, having credit card debt was something my wife and I fought for years when we first got married. I am serious, when we first met we had our first child very early in our relationship. While it wasn’t a mistake, as we actually wanted to have a baby, it was a poor judgment call to do it when we did. At the time, we were both in our early 20’s, in fact I had just turned twenty years old, both were working at entry level jobs and shacked up in a two bedroom apartment.

Our financial lives were rough… very rough. In order to survive, we had no choice but to live off credit cards. Coming into our relationship, my wife Angie already had a child and adding the the new baby (my son Garry Conn III) to the mix really impacted his very badly financially. Living off credit cards was a matter of survival as our kids had to eat. Luckily for us, living off of credit cards bought us both enough time to eventually climb in our jobs. During that time I was also working sleepless nights on my first online business.

The result of living off credit cards to survive during this time resulted in a huge never ending circle. Granted both Angie and I were now beginning to get ahead in life by earning enough money with our jobs, but unfortunately the large amount of debt we accumulated over the first few years of our relationship was haunting us. Both Angie and I made enough money to pay our bills, get food for our kids and also make the minimum payments on our debts. However, we didn’t make enough money to ever really chip away at our debts. Month after month, we were only able to make minimum payments and as you know in doing so, it takes many years to completely pay off your debts.

Recognizing that Angie and I were in a situation where we were literally throwing hundreds of dollars away each month towards minimum payments, we decided to seek out the assistance of a debt consolidation company. After a few weeks of speaking with different companies, we found a company that we felt would provide us with the best service and we were able to get a debt consolidation loan which was then used to completely pay off all our credit card debts. From there, we were left with only one bill to pay each month which yielded a much lower interest rate compared to all the credit cards accounts that we were paying on.

Having the debt consolidation loan was a true life saver for us as it enabled us to be much more organized with our money and enabled us to actually pay more each month towards chipping away at our debt. The initial loan that we had was a 10 year loan and Angie and I were able to get it completely paid off in five.

How To Win The WhiteSmoke.com Contest

In this contest everyone is actually a winner. However, one person will be more of a winner than others. After reading this history story about how my life was in my early twenties, you can quickly see how credit card debt has impacted the lives of my family and myself.

To participate in this contest, I would like for you to write a 500 to 1000 word article that will provide your advice on how a family can avoid getting into credit card debt. Secondly, in this article, I would like for you to provide advice on how a family can get out of credit card debt. You can use real life examples if you or another family member had problems with credit card debt. Additionally, you can simply provide your straight advice on the subject matter.

After you complete your article, please submit the final copy to me via email to garryconn@gmail.com. From there I will assign it a reference # as I have my trusted friend, Christine Senter standing by to judge the quality and craftsmanship of your article. As I send the article into Christine Senter I will be removing elements that identify you and replacing that information with a reference #. Christine Senter will have no idea who’s article she is judging. She will be looking only at the quality of the article rather than who wrote the article.

When I have sent in all the articles, Christine Senter will relay back to me the reference # of the article she has deemed as being the best. That reference # will be paired back up to the individual who wrote the article and be crowned as the winner of this content.

Everyone Is A Winner!

Earlier, I mentioned that everyone is a winner and it’s true! All articles that are submitted in for this contest will get published and featured on my latest niche site. Full credit of this article will be maintained and you will be provided with multiple direct links to your blog or web site. This will score you traffic and name recognition – two elements that are mandatory in successful blogging.

Yes Every Contest Has A Bonus!

As you know, most all contests have a bonus. The winner of this contest not only will score the free copy of WhiteSmoke.com software but will also win an exclusive opportunity to expand on the winning article. This article expansion will then be professionally proofed and edited by Mark Sierra ($150 dollar value) and then professional typesetting and conversion to PDF will be performed my Mark Mason ($175 dollar value) into an eBook using which will become the flagship eBook of my latest successful niche blog. Lastly, Forest Park will create a professional eBook cover graphic ($75 dollar value).

For those who don’t know, Mark Sierra is a very gifted publisher with a professional degree in journalism, Mark Mason is an extremely intelligent professional engineer with an amazing career at Texas Instruments and Forest Parks is a professional artists and graphic designer with over 10 years experience. One of my best partners who is also holding the glue together in this contest is Christine Senter. She has over 20 years experience in writing and book publishing.

The final eBook will then be made available to literally thousands of people via free download on my latest niche site. The eBook will give full credit to you as the author and provide numerous links back to your blog or web site.

As you may know, eBooks are one of the best ways to funnel traffic to your web site or blog. However, if you can’t get people to download it, then it isn’t worth anything. The individual who wins this contest has a huge opportunity to put their name and writing work in the limelight.

Contest Rules

The rules are simple.

  1. Submit Your Final Article in to Garry Conn by emailing it to garryconn@gmail.com
  2. All participants are winners and all articles submitted will be published on Garry Conn’s latest niche blog and full credit will be provided with multiple links pointing back to your blog or web site.
  3. Participants will need to write a post on their blog announcing that they have published an article on Garry Conn’s latest niche blog encouraging readers to visit the article. (URL will be provided to you as well as date the post needs to be written and published)
  4. All articles will undergo anonymous judging by professional writer and publisher Christine Senter. After judging, she will inform me of the winning article.
  5. The winner of the contest will be provided with the WhiteSmoke.com software.
  6. The winner of the contest will also have the exclusive opportunity to expand on the winning article which will then get converted into a flagship eBook of Garry Conn’s latest niche blog. Full author credits and multiple links will be provided in the eBook which will immensely help with branding, name recognition and traffic to the winners web site or blog.

Thanks for visiting my Blog and reminding me of my oversight.
Your post brings home similiar memories of credit card debt
and it still tries to tighten it’s noose around us at times but
we learned our lesson and are dealing with it. I guess I
have to get my thinking cap on and enter this contest.

Hi Gord,

Very nice of you to come here. I absolutely love your blog and the fact that you are a very skilled and highly qualified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. You’ve got some really great posts on your blog and I look forward to getting some down time and checking out things further. I have added you into my GTalk and look forward to speaking with you further. Not only about this competition but I’d like to brainstorm a separate idea with you regarding airplanes. :)

Sounds like a great contest for everyone, not just a writer but for your readers to really watch and learn from. It’s amazing how easy it really is to fall in the trap of credit card debt and so many have no clue until it happens to them. Good luck on the contest Garry, now to dig out those old notepads. :)

It’s a great writing opportunity for everyone.. I know what I went through in my twenties and knowing that also leads me to believe that credit card debt is a very common situation many people and families are faced with. It should prove to be a topic that should come very natural and easy for many people to write about. As I had mentioned in class today, we don’t have to be “credit card debt experts.” In the cards life deals us, most of the time the best advice is practical common sense advice offered by friends and average everyday people.

My family and I suffered for many years battling our credit card debt and I know too that this is a very common problem many individuals and families experience.

Good luck with the contest and the most wonderful thing about this contest is that everyone wins and there will be one lucky winner who gets the grand prize. :)

Hi gary… really cool contest you have, I am very excited and thanks for sending out the second email with the due date. I was un-sure and started working on mine after I read it. I feel more relaxed knowing I have a week. I really want this software badly but it has always been too expensive for me.

Garry Conn Wrote a Comment:

Date/Time: 5-13-2008 15:07:42 Comment #14182

Laura pointed that out to me very quickly. LOL!!! Shame on me for not assigning a due date. I guess I am not going to get any apples on my desk tomorrow. LOL!!!

I really want this software too! Unfortunately, Zach gave only ONE copy to use for this contest and I am choosing to donate it to the winner… so I’ll have to bit the bullet and buy my own. Which to be quite honest, the pricing is pretty reasonable. The version that is included in this contest is the enterprise edition which retails for $250. However, they have many variations and in fact you might find a version that is better suited for your needs. Pricing, I believe starts at $79 dollars which might be more of a number you’re aiming to spend. Check out the WhiteSmoke.com home page and shop around… if you have any questions, I’ll see if I can get Zach to jump on here in the comments and speak with you. :)

Wow, you really are going nuts with this contest. I am very excited about sending in my article because I know it will help the people who read it when it goes live on your niche blog. I think I also will have a good chance at winning because talking about credit card debt comes natural to me, sadly. :(
I watched the video on the white smoke and this program looks impressive. I want to win it very badly. Oh, the bonus prize is cool to!

Indeed, the WhiteSmoke.com video is awesome. They go a very good job providing publishers with amazing tools for marketing. If you too would like to sell WhiteSmoke.com software, simply join their program for free in the Pepperjam Netowork. Here is a link that goes direct to Pepperjam’s Application form. The application is very cut and dry and will take you less than 5 minutes to complete.

Good luck with the competition and I look forward to receiving your article submission. :)

This software looks absolutely awesome.

I am looking forward to designing the graphics.

My life has it’s fair amount of credit card debt and loan debt too. My story is a little different as it deals with my debts coming from sympathy for family members and then them not paying me back!

I still am living the battle and hope to find a way to start organizing and getting it all under control very soon.

Awesome comp Garry and I really appreciate your story. Generally as bloggers we keep our private life off the screen but every now and then it’s good to let a little out.

Hi Garry, great competition, just wish the WhiteSmoke advert didn’t auto play, too much noise in the background…would prefer to hit a play button if I wanted to watch/hear their advert…
Thankfully, these days I don’t worry about CC debt, did a few years back and the best thing I did was cut those cards up…
Unless you can use them to their best & pay back what you borrowed the previous month, you are putting yourself at their mercy…
So by going without them, only spending what I can afford today, I find myself to be a lot better off.
I still have a few Credit Cards, but thankfully it’s engraved in my brain now to only use them when there is no other option & I can get the cash borrowed back to them within a few days of borrowing it…any longer and I don’t want to know….

Yeah me too… I’d love to be able to shut that thing up. :) It’s great to watch the first time, but I noticed that it auto plays and doesn’t stop. Anyone want to view source and show me how to shut it up? LOL!!!

Garry, should also have said on the CC subject that I did try to buy one of your ad spots on this blog, but because PayPal wanted to use my credit card for verification & continuing payments I gave up. If it was a once off payment without the need for a credit card, I would be onboard, just don’t like signing up to continuing payments on the CC. While I’m sure your ads are fantastic value, I no longer sign up to automatic payments on the CC & if everyone else did the same I’m sure all our CC debt would go down a lot…
If sites provide a once off payment, fair enough, we have a month at least to make up our minds but by asking for a continuous payment that needs a email/phone call to cancel, it just makes me think how many suckers have been caught by forgetting to follow up…

Dave,

I am pleased to hear that you are interested in adverting on my blog but also respect your decision not to based off my terms. I charge $6 dollars for a 125×125 advertisement on my blog. Providing such an affordable cost in advertising, I feel that it should be the responsibility of the advertiser to cancel when they no longer want to continue advertising. If it was the other way around, I’d have to keep track and invest time into asking if people want to renew. That is time I don’t have and that is also part of the reason why my ads are cheap.

Your comment did cause me to remember that I was actually in the process of working on my advertisement page and produce an updated rate card before this cow madness thing started. My prices are going to increase and I’ll need to get around to that fairly soon.

Hello,
I’m Portuguese and I, and my wife, are the kind ok people that never have had a Credit Card because we organize our lives in a way that, we only buy what we have money to.
But 2 years ago, as we needed to build our house and, as usual in people with our age ( 31 - 33) we didn’t have the all money, we’d getted a credit from a Bank and one of the thing that we earned with that credit was a credit card, wich we don’t use and is somewhere at home. Honestly, we’ve never used it and we don’t plan to use…unless it will be really needed.
Another thing, doesn’t Microsoft Word have the same, or more, functionalities as WhiteSmoke?
The last but not the least, sorry for my English ;)

I bought Whitesmoke. Guess how many grammar errors it found in the paragraph below? Zero.

I me think once good was Whitesmoke.
But grammar found problems no can find. Whitesmoke said artificial intelligence it uses. Me think it intelligence most artificial. No can do it. Whitesmoke full of all smoke.
How they say grammar, they check me confused very.

They’ve been blowing me off when I’ve contacted them about a refund. I’ve filed a complaint with my credit card company. I imagine they’ll reverse the charge.

Zach,

I received this comment from an individual named Sol Lederman. I’d like to know if this is true about what he said. This comment has not been published yet on my blog as it was held for moderation.

Hi Garry,

I forwarded your e-mail directly to the Head of Linguistics Development as it was not a normal complaint as I’m sure you already know. Here is the e-mail response she sent me and I am sending directly to you.

Hey Zach,

………WhiteSmoke is highly optimized to correct English writing mistakes that are made in the course of natural writing. Writing that is based on literally hundreds of thousands of texts that we analyze and store in our database. Due to the infinite amount of possible grammar errors, we have compiled an extensive array of the most common and probable grammar mistakes made both by native speakers and by second language English speakers.

The optimal way to test WhiteSmoke’s capabilities is by running it on existing documents, and not by feeding it deliberate errors similar to the ones that appear in the body of text you sent me. These intentional errors differ from the ones we naturally make when we are writing. For example, people tend to omit words (approx 1/3 of all mistakes) in the flow of writing, or under use punctuation marks, especially commas (approx 1/3 of all mistakes). If Sol, Garry, or anyone else you are working with has more feedback to offer, please feel free to forward it to me for analysis.

Thanks,

Laly

Like Laly said Garry, any feedback is always welcomed to better operate our product and of course improve on any areas mentioned by users or affiliates & partners. If you need anything else, please let me know. Make sure to have a look at some of the new banners & text links I uploaded for you to be able to use in regards to special promotions and more appealing graphical banner ads. Have a good day!

Kind Regards,

Zach Hamisha

Zach,

Thanks for looking into this for me. I will now publish this comment and supply your response.

Best Regards,
Garry Conn

Hope that better helps you Sol. :)

Hi Garry,

wanted to try out whitesmoke after reading so many good things about it BUT…
I am really frustrated now, I think I just fell in to their buy and download trap. Yesterday I bought the General, Business Writing Version, and Extended License Service. After paying via PayPal, I was reverted to a whitesmoke link to download what I had purchased. I was also informed that I would soon receive an e-mail with download advice, purchase confirmation etc, generally what one expects after paying. However, after downloading I realized I had received a trail version, which constantly reminds me that I would have to purchase the license in seven days. I didn’t even receive a confirmation mail. Since then I’ve been trying to get hold of someone from their support team, and all I receive are mails telling me that someone will get in touch with me. I just can’t believe I fell for something like this, it looked and sounded serious, I had read articles about whitesmoke online, and it seemed like everything was fine. I Paid $93, 00 and have received nothing.

What should I do?
Do you have an idea?

Juliet,

I bought Whitesmoke with a credit card. After Whitesmoke ignored and jerked me around for over a month about a refund I went to my credit card company. They reversed the charge after I explained that Whitesmoke said they would refund my money but didn’t. At one point Whitesmoke said they had technical difficulties processing my refund and that they wanted to mail me a check. I said no and Visa took care of me. I’m not as optimistic about PayPal as they are not customer oriented, especially with download software.

The lesson — don’t buy unknown software with PayPal. Buy it with a credit card and file a dispute with the merchant with your credit card company. Hopefully I’m wrong and PayPal will take care of you or WhiteSmoke will give you a refund.

Lesson #2: Check the web for scam reports before you buy; I didn’t and it cost me a bunch of hassle but I finally got my money back.

Check out Sol Lederman’s last blog post..The Brain Integration Technique journey continues

Hi there,

After the difficulties in the beginning, I must admit that Whitesmoke apologized and took care of the problem. A few different people from whitesmoke have contacted me since then, and have been very helpful and friendly indeed. As to Paypal, PayPal offers a service here in Germany (where I live) and if you file a complaint about a purchase, then they do try to get buyer and seller together to settle things. As I was worried after not hearing from whitesmoke at the begining of this mishap, I did get intouch with Paypal, but meanwhile I have informed them that everything is fine and that the problems have been solved. The software is a great relief for me.

Juliet,

I am glad that WhiteSmoke.com made efforts towards fixing the problem. I know too because I am getting many of the carbon copies sent to me that they have bent over backwards for Sol. I don’t think that you could make that guy happy even if you locked him in room and filled it with laughing gas.

Dear Garry,

I hope you are doing well. Thank you for posting all our responses on your blog as we have nothing to hide from your loyal readers. I’m glad we could resolve Juliet’s concerns after purchasing our superb English Writing Software. I sincerely wish we could provide some sort of additional service to ensure Sol Lederman is satisfied as well.

My offer for a free license in compensation for his difficulties still stands if Sol is interested. I do not feel there is much else I can offer Sol as he has received a refund and would essentially receive a product valued at well over $100 absolutely free of charge. To the rest of Garry’s loyal readers, please do not hesitate to contact myself via Garry’s fantastic blog if you have any questions/comments about our software. We stand behind our software which encourages and helps deliver professionalism in every aspect of an individual’s writing! Have a great day everyone and look forward to hearing from you soon.
