Display Two Posts Per Page Keeps The Googlebots Here To Stay
I have said it before… by limiting the amount of post you display per page (two, three, four, or five posts), you force your blog program to create more secondary, third, forth and so on levels with your site’s hierarchy structure.
This allows for the Googlebots to travel deeper within your site to get the new content that is published. By doing this, you basically tell Google that you have many pages within your site that update frequently. This will attract the Googlebots and give the bots a little bait or reason to visit back often.
Building and establishing these pages are extremely important… because as it stands now, your home page is the only page that Google seems to find new content from. All your other pages have little or no value to Google or your readers for that matter…
However if these pages are updated frequently, then this almost in a way, artificially creates value. And this will really pay off in the long run. What this does, is basically builds your site as an 8 lane Interstate in advanced prior to having the traffic flooding all the lanes.
The reason why it is good to do this now… is because everyone knows how much of a pain in the butt it is to drive on an over congested street and have to deal with road construction at the same time…
Build your site today already expanded and ready for the future! Displaying two posts per day helps increase the Google PageRank on your inner site structure levels, and by doing this… it allows you to create as many posts per day without fear of the post getting neglected by a Googlebot or a reader.
Here is a graphical representation.

I get it. And it potentially makes things easier on your readers by not having them scroll one huge page after another.

Well, I am not sure about that… because readers will have to click a little bit more than they would if there were more posts listed per page. But the important thing is that your inner structure pages are being updated very frequently. After two posts the content of these pages change entirely. This encourages a quicker index of these pages and also promotes the crawler to dig deeper within the site.
This is important if you are a blogger who plans of having a huge site with tons of posts per day. When these secondary, third and forth level pages get better established, you can comfortably start displaying more posts per day and not worry about things getting missed.
Basically by doing this now, you are better preparing your site to accommodate a higher volume of posts per day without fear of attaining a weak index from Google.

Great tip, I like the idea of the 2 posts per page. I have been learning about blogging but have not read about anyone doing this, great stuff thank you.
