Summary:

As you can see, there is a very broad range of topics that I would like I cover or would really like to expand on. I am open to accepting “One Hit Wonder“, but ideally I am more interested in filling a few long term positions for the blog. This is an excellent opportunity for bloggers to come out of the cracks of the wall and get put into the spot light and gain some really good exposure to their own blogs.

The Purpose of Garry Conn dot Com:

This is a personal blog owned by Garry Conn. The purpose of the content publication is to help others learn how to start a blog and how to find success in operating and maintaining it through growing and expanding their quality content and exposing it to a large and ever growing audience. I teach people how to find success in blogging with a heavy emphasis on teaching people how to make money online with a blog. While my chief focus in on helping others learn how to make money online, a secondary focus is in helping people gain the ranks and increase their level of popularity within the blogosphere for their chosen niche topic.

The Purpose of Garry Conn Seeking Guest Authors:

The purpose of Garry Conn seeking guest authors is divided into two parts:

  1. I want to be able to provide readers, subscribers and viewers with a larger scale of content volume with the ability to expand deeper within the roots of the topics and keywords listed above. In finding success with this goal I have to recognize that I can’t do this alone. I need the help, the minds and ideas of multiple people. In opening up Garry Conn dot Com to guest authors this will allow me to achieve what I feel is the ideal movement for Garry Conn dot Com. My goal is to become one of the leading sites with a source of information for the related topics listed above and to provide readers with a fresh pipeline of content that will help them in their blogging ventures.
  2. I want to help new bloggers by providing them with a direct channel or pipeline for name recognition and exposure. The blogosphere houses a lot of talent; however, due to the sheer number of blogs online, its is very difficult to make a name for yourself. I want to provide a medium that allows for raw talent to get exposed. Back when I first started blogging, no one… and I mean NO ONE would give me the time of day, let alone help or aid me in anyway. I made Garry Conn dot Com from scratch, from extremely hard work and I can’t say that anyone superior or higher ranking than me gave me a helping hand. While I’ll admit, I have made friends and contacts during this time, but never once has anyone of a high authority helped me. Long story short, I don’t wish that on anyone. If you’ve got talent, you need to be recognized for that and done so very quickly. Holding people back lessens the global quality of the niche in which you publish on.

How To Apply?

This is the simple part. I invested some time into learning how many other people screen for acceptance and I have to say, “wow!” they sure do require quite a bit from applicants. As you may or may not know, I really place a lot of value of individual’s time. Time is something that people can’t ever get back. Needless to say, I am not wanting to waste a lot of your time. I want to make the screening process as simple and as easy for you as possible.

  1. Send me a direct email to GarryConn@Gmail.com with the subject line of: Guest Blogging Position.
  2. Briefly explain to me what you’d like to publish content on my blog.
  3. Explain to me the topics that you would like to write about.
  4. Provide me with already published or written examples of your writing related to the topics you’d like to cover on my blog.

Do I Get Paid For This?

No. I am giving you access to publish content on an established blog that has been online for two years that has a following of people that exceeds 1,000 subscribers. Other blogs of this caliper charge money for this service. I am providing it for free so that you have a way to get an accelerated rate of name recognition and exposure.

Who Retains Rights To The Content?

I do. When you transmit and publish content onto the GARRYCONN.COM domain name, I will retain rights to the content and it will become my intellectual property. By accepting a guest blogger position you also accept that the content published becomes my property. While I don’t have the intention towards editing or modifying your content, I need to make it crystal clear that your time invested in publishing content on my blog is strictly for the purpose of building up your name and expanding your readership to your own blog. Garry Conn dot Com will publicly acknowledge you as the writer of the content and you will be rewarded with gaining more exposure and name recognition along with direct links pointing back to your own blog.

How Does Garry Conn dot Com Help Me Grow?

If approved to be a guest blogger on Garry Conn dot Com, you will be assigned a login username and password. WordPress assigns each account with an ID#. Your id number will be used to automatically display a 75×75 square avatar directly to the right side of your post titles. This avatar will automatically hyperlink to your blog. Your id number will also be used to automatically display your author name directly below the post title which acknowledges you as the author of the article and is also automatically made to hyperlink direct back to your blog. Additionally, at the bottom of each article you publish, you will have a graphical signature 234×60 in size that will too automatically display and hyperlink back to your blog.

Who Can Apply?

Anyone! and I seriously mean that. So many people that I talk to get nervous, shocked, or amazed that I would invest the time into speaking with them. I don’t understand why? Many people are nervous to approach me or even ask me direct questions. While my blog has gained some levels of popularity, I am still just a normal average guy. If you would like to take advantage of this opportunity, you need to contact me without having reservations or being nervous. If it would help you feel more comfortable and help break the ice, I invite and encourage you to speak with a few of my online friends:

  1. Christine Senter
  2. Mark Sierra
  3. Mark Mason
  4. David Cooley
  5. Forest Parks
  6. Joe Swopes

The above online friends have all made previous guest appearances on my blog and will be happy to share their experiences with you related to our professional relationship and well as the quality of their experience publishing on the blog.

This is great Garry, an awesome opportunity that you do not have to do. Like you said, many will charge for this service, so, if someone is looking to get started and they feel up to the task, I say there is no time like the present!

I really like how you laid the whole thing out, it makes it more valuable in my eyes, as what you are really doing is inviting people to become part of the GCDC team, which is great.

Sure, others have offices full of employees to help run their blog, but you’re setting up a network withing your community, allowing people the freedom to be their own person and run their own business, while at the same time helping your out, and getting more exposure for them.

If anyone has any questions about Garry and what kind of guy he is….please contact me, I got all the dirty little secrets that you MUST know before getting involved. I must warn you…..once you go Conn you’ll be a Conn for life!

Ha :)

(send me my meatloaf for that plug Garry, FedEX is fine lol)

Seriously though, people take advantage of this, Garry is a great guy and is always ready to help out.

see ya

Quick question…

Will the avatar and banner that link to our blog/site be nofollowed?

5 Garry Conn { 06.13.08 at 1:37 am }

I haven’t decided yet. I’d look at this as being more of an opportunity to gain more exposure to the readership I have built over the last two years rather than having an easy way to score search engine friendly backlinks. :)

That meatloaf looks mighty fine! :)

Honestly Garry, in my opinion, you don’t need the banner and logo to be backlinked. If they have an account on your blog, their name will point back to their website. I don’t know if you plan on having a “bio box” for all of your guest bloggers, that appears after or before each of their posts. Or, if you plan to great a “staff writters” page, which holds small bio info for each of your permanent writters. Maybe you could allow backlinks for the “one hitters”. But, for the “on staff” writters, I don’t think it’s needed, and would be more interested in a separate page or something that has a bio box for each.

But hey, I could be way off, what do you think? Anybody else think it’s a good idea?
