Higher Authoritative People Like To Steal My Ideas.

Free Web Designs

Upon doing my normal rounds within the lovely confounds of what we call the Blogosphere, once again, just like always, I see bigger fish reading my blog and posts and rolling out pretty much what I say and using it for themselves, and robbing me of any and all the credit.
I’ll be honest. This pisses me off. But, that goes hand in hand with blogging. So, having that said, I am really going to start making better use of this Aweber service that I bought. The great thing about this service is that I can control who gets a copy of my material and who doesn’t. For me this isn’t a numbers game, well, I wouldn’t complain if I built my list up to around 10,000, but for me this is now becoming more of a game of protection and control.

I am just one guy, a one man show, a person who just oozes creativity, common sense and compelling ideas. So, having that said, it isn’t very difficult for someone with a higher rank to drop by and get inspired from my teachings and writings and turn right around and use everything I said for themselves.

To me, that is worse than spam. A share my ideas with people of all wallet sizes. But one thing I expect is that credit is given where credit is due. For the handful of people out there who have stolen my ideas and have attempted to make them your own and who have also played me like a fiddle towards making me believe that you were a trusted friend or person to speak with, I thank you. You have given me back to me the ability to hold a shield and raise a defense against people like you.

For people that read my blog, I have yet to send out my first mailing. I am waiting for my list to grow to a level that I feel is worth my while. I think after getting the boost of sign ups delivered from writing this post, I’ll have what I need. The sign up forms are in all the obvious places on my site. I encourage you to join.

As a final note: to those, regardless of how big or small your wallet is, I don’t care how bad you need the money. I don’t care about how stupid you’d look if you didn’t use my material or ideas. I don’t care how much of a fake you are. I don’t care if you’re too much of an uninspired individual to come up with your own stuff. If you don’t give me credit for my work, you’re stealing not only from me but my family.

If for any reason you feel guilty, then you’ll know that this message is directed to you. Comments are turned on. But don’t ask me any questions asking who is stealing from me. I will not answer them. You know who you are and for others, you now know where I stand. Don’t bite the hand that feeds you.

If you enjoy my content, if you enjoy my ideas, that is great! I am happy for you. All you have to do is say, Thank You Garry Conn, and acknowledge me as the person who inspired you in your blog post, eBook or online video. I am very thankful to discover what I did this morning, because I can now take tactical measures to protect myself from this type of twisted, cruel and shady forms of theft.

Good post Gary.

I try to make sure people who use my ideas have good reason to tell others they heard it from me. It doesn’t always work, but when it does it’s good.

Garry, excellent post. I hate it when big blogs take credit and never return a link or mention back to me :(

I guess I could always just blog about flowers and cheese? LOL!!!!

I think I just need to be a little smarter with how I publish my thoughts and ideas and protect them a little better. Aweber is obviously not the answer to protection. I think I just need to keep on pushing forward and laugh it off. :)

Thanks for the supportive comments guys! :)

You know Garry, if you weren’t so damn good at what you do, you wouldn’t have this problem. You have every right to be pissed about this, but you should also be flattered. Who knows, maybe you can start the “I Wanna Be Just Like Garry” fan club. LOL

I’m really not trying to make light of this situation. You shouldn’t have to go through this. As a writer, I know how disturbing it is to have someone steal your ideas. If nothing else, think of those of us who tell the world that all we have is because of you. :)

Ahhhhhh… that is so nice! Well, the same goes hand in hand. Without my Christine Senter or for the people I am helping, I guess I would be just off in a dark corner blogging to myself about paper airplanes or something. LOL!!!!

Hi
Like Christine says it is a form of flattery really, I guess all bloggers of note have to deal with it. Nobody steals my stuff !
