Honorable Mention: Kyle’s Cove
I launched/re-launched GarryConn.com the first of this year to give me a way to write freely about things I want to write about and to give me a tool to meet new people, make friends, and help them. I have a lot of information that needs to be extracted from my mind, and having my blog is a great way to transfer my thoughts onto paper (e-paper! lol). I like to talk about successful blogging, Google SEO, and Online/Internet marketing. Most of the content on my site is about those topics. But, I have a safety net called the Various Topics category which allows me to write about anything that comes to mind.
I am not a selfish person, but because I commit so much time to my sites (over 10) my blogging weakness has always been not spending time on the sites created by other publishers. I have a new laptop and it has helped out a lot with keeping organized. I have always had a huge handful of blogs that I like to visit on a regular basis. But staying up to date with these sites was always a challenge. It might sound crazy, but re-launching this site has helped me a lot with contributing on other sites and meeting new people and staying up to date with their sites.
My site seems to be really picking up in viewer interest! I am so happy to meet so many new people and very happy that my existing blog buddies have come over here to talk with me. With my site picking up in traffic so quickly, I wanted to tell everyone about one of my favorite blog sites online. In this article I want to introduce you to a blog buddy of mine, Kyle.
Kyle runs his site called Kyle’s Cove. I discover his site about six month ago, maybe five… and immediately during my first visit I was hooked. The level of quality on his site is truly amazing! And still to this day, I have not found any blog site that delivered such a high level of a positive first impression. Kyle’s Cove totally “Wow’ed” me…
Kyle had a moment where he had to shut down and I was really concerned about it. I felt terrible. I actually felt a slight loss. I never commented on his site that often, but I read the content almost daily. Kyle has his site back online and its running strong.

(*Kyle, I am sorry if I just BOMBED your site with trackbacks… I couldn’t figure out a way to list your articles in a way that didn’t leave trackbacks)
I want to invite you to take a few minutes real quick to visit Kyle’s site. He works very hard to assure that his content is of the highest level of quality and I can’t forget that Kyle as a person is a very cool guy to talk with. Also, he is expecting a new baby son in less than 5 days… so regardless, you need to head over there anyway and congratulate him, because at a minimum, obviously he is doing One Thing Correctly! lol
not saying what that is…
Kyle… if you happen to read this… can you please put that sick ass cool looking Kyle’s Cove logo graphic back up! That aside from your content was one of my favorite things about your site. Also I totally enjoyed the “White Space” look of your old design… and if you don’t change things back the way they used to be, I am not going to visit anymore! (Joking!)

Garry,
I’m not really sure what to say. That is a very nice write up!
The site started as a way to keep my thoughts in order and bookmark quality stuff. Its nice having a search engine to search through my stuff.
Anyway, its kind of picked up and I’ve managed to get a few followers, which has made it all the more fun. When I had to drop the site, it was a tough decision, but it was mostly a financial decision. Anyway, thanks to a few readers offers to host the website (including your offer Garry!), its back up and running and is going well.
If it wasn’t for readers like you Garry, it wouldn’t be possible. Thanks!
Hopefully that didn’t sound to corny.

Oh, and I haven’t figured out a way to put the logo into my Wordpress theme. I like it also, but I need to figure out a way to get it incorporated.
I’ll be working on this during my 1.5 weeks away from work when my son is born!

I love equal rights! and boy can I milk paternity leave baby!!!!! LOL!!! Been there done that, and love every minute of it… but I better NOT catch you online for a week pal! You got some helping around the house to do here…
But we do want some pics ASAP!
Yeah man… your site rocks, and I would have done a lot within my ability to help keep it up. Honestly, its one of my favorites to visit. I didn’t know what to think when it went down. I am very glad to have it back up and running. I kind of wish it was the way it used to be, but… that is OK! Slap that trademark signature graphic of yours back up which to me represented: Quality and Uniqueness and I think I will feel at home again.
Talk to you soon,
Garry

and the more I think about it… for that reason alone is what made me a regular reader. I would say that 75% of the article you write, I have an interest in. and of that 75% (granted if time wasn’t an issue and I could actually spend endless amounts of time on all my favorite sites) 50% of those article I would contribute to because of the common ground you establish with your viewers in the articles. I don’t know… I am not too much of a numbers guy, but I think those are good stats from an individual viewer. Multiply that by 1000 people then those are some figures that can totally be worked with!
“To everyone that is reading this comment… really if you want to learn about how to become a successful blogger… Kyle is a great example. What he writes about is interesting, the way he writes captures the interest of viewers. When you read an article on his site, it is almost as if he was talking directly to you, as opposed to a wide audience.”
