One of the most popular questions people ask me is how in the WORLD can one person run over 100 blogs. There are many things that I do that enable me to do this; however, in this article I’ll show you one thing that I do that allows me to successfully run over 100 blogs. I am not revealing all my damn secrets, but I’ll give you this one… and it’s a good one.
Material
In order to run a blog or multiple ones, you need material. You have got to have great resources that allow you to just freely blog your ass off. Seriously! In order for me to make money online, I have to build and publish many many many many pages on the Internet. These pages need to get indexed, ranked and found in the search engines.
Material is vital. The trick is finding good material that allows you to write about things that are hot! Good material is hard to come by and has a shelf life of about 48 to 72 hours. So where do I find this material?
Email Newsletters.
I’ll use my deal blogs as an example. One of the best ways that I make money online is with running my deal blogs. Everyone wants a great deal and being able to provide links and references to them is one of the ways I make money online. The most important part of this is the fact that I have an ENDLESS and CONSTANT flow of material coming in for me to use towards creating pages.
In my deal blog business, I have created a separate Gmail Account and have subscribed to every deal related email newsletter known to man. When it’s time for me to post on my deal blogs, I figure out what it is that I want to write about (ie. what product) and then do a Gmail search and find an email that is related to the product I want to blog about.
The email is perfect because it contains a presentation of the product listed on sale, which allows me to write a brief review and description about the product. The email provides picture samples, which in most cases I just take a screen capture of the entire email. Most importantly, the email contains a direct link to the product being advertised on sale. From there, I can check my array of affiliate programs to see if I find and attach an affiliate link to the product being offered.
I am sure you can instantly think of a million and one different email newsletters that you can subscribe to that fall within your topic and niche! Have fun with it and LOAD UP THAT INBOX!!!
Having excellent sources to material within your niche is crucial towards making money online. I hope that you found this tip useful. Please give me a Digg vote if you liked it… I am on a Digg kick and it would be cool to see the Digg numbers increase.
Secondly, I am going to be hounding people about this for 9 months. My wife and I are expecting a new baby. I have a donate button at the bottom of my posts. If you love me and want to help put my kids through college, click that donate button and show me some love!
Digg me and love me… and I’ll keep showing you how to make money online by providing awesome tips like the one you just read here today!

that is a great tip.. but i think the other key to being able to run that many blogs is being able to actually write good blog posts.. something that you are very good at..
I often find myself staring at a blank screen for what seems like hours only to poop-out a lame little post in my SINGLE blog one or two times a week…

Randy,
You need to give yourself more credit bud… I don’t know of any of your other blogs other than your personal one at Grown Up Geek; However, if your blurb style for MMO stuff is any thing similar to your social networking / personal blog, then I’d say you’re doing just fine.
Personal blogs are a bitch to run… honestly! I work 5 times harder at GCDC than I do my other MMO blogs and get 25x less return.
You are are a very good writer. For me as mentioned above, I get these email newsletters for pretty much all the niche blogs I run (classifieds, deals, aviation, real estate, sports, toys, etc… )
What I do when its time to publish is I open up my screen really wide, 1680×1440 and have two divisions of my screen.
Left side is my gmail window and right side is my BlogDesk. From there, I just gaze at the open email that is showcasing the product and in my own words I write about it… mainly in an emotionless dry “just the facts” style.
The key to affiliate marketing (whether you’re trying to get clicks, sales or leads) is the pre sale. Everyone has their part in the cycle. The customer has the need. You have to have the ability to create “PRE” interest and drive the traffic and your affiliate business owner / product owner has to have the ability to close the sale.
In my line of business I have no problems attracting customers and I have no problem getting them to click into PPC, lead gens, or even sales pages…
Where I have a problem is when I discover holes into cyberspace… and what I mean by that is, when an affiliate is failing to do their job (close the deal) I have to put my foot down and close my account with them.
For example: In Dec. 07, I had a site that delivered over 15,000 clicks into Amazon.com. I only generated a few sales from that. The success rate was very low, less than 1%.
Because of this, I now feel that Amazon.com does a poor job of closing the sale. I could have easily modified my marketing tactics and converted those 15,000 Amazon clicks into Adsense clicks which would have generated quite a bit of money.
Overall, the key to my success is not really “Micro Managing” things, but more less keeping close guards on capitalizing the most amount of money I can get per visitor.
The reason why I love Google Adsense is the fact that I don’t have to use traditional “car salesmen” sales tactics on my sites. I let Google Adsense work for me. Heck, I can even write a “One Word” post with a “Three Word” title and the Adsense ads would be relevant. I am not saying to do that… but I am just illustrating a point.
With Google Adsense, all I need to do to be successful with the program is figure out a legitimate and user desired way to get a click thru. I don’t have to worry about trying to motivate or influence someone to buy something I recommend. That is the Google Adwords participant’s job, not mine… if he fails to capture the sale from a 100% solid relevant lead generated from my website(s), then he is in the wrong business and or needs to hire someone who can help present his business, product or service better.
Keep up the great work man… and if you don’t have a niche blog that targets a certain interest level, you should consider building one… it honestly doesn’t take a lot of work and there are plenty of topics to choose from. Just don’t pick something that attracts Internet savvy people.
That is another huge difference in why I am very successful with Adsense and other programs. It’s the fact that I target people who barely know what the hell a computer is… let alone what Google Adsense is. All my visitors know is that they used a search engine to find something they want… they landed on my site and then found a box that had all the keyword titles they were looking for and they click. When the click, they then land on a page that has exactly what they are looking for.
The end result is simple: Customer finds what he wants. I get my pocket change for the click. The Adwords Advertiser makes money via the sale generated from my website.

Holy crap Garry I am sure my head would explode if I tried to maintain 100 or more blogs. I have a tough time running just 10 blogs.
I have recently started using BlogDesk and that has given me back a couple of hours a day but nothing close to the time I would need to run that many blogs.
I love to spend time and money on my hobbies but with that much to keep up with I am sure I would be thinking about my blogs constantly instead of thinking of my hobbies and interests.
I lost my Google Adsense account a few years ago and have not found anything close to delivering context sensitive ads.

stumbled/dugg.
Excellent as always. Well at least we all know that Garry does not spend EVERY waking moment Blogging. Right Angie?

While I do not write 100 blogs I do have many and write for many others. Garry has great advice and I must add that following what others are writing about and commenting on is another way to get material, trends or watching the news at home. Controversial is good if you want to get lots of comments or even hits so is breaking news. For celeb niches you might want to subscribe to celebrity blogs and magazines, this does not mean you have to pay. Instead save links such as people.com, starmagazine.com, etc into your favorites and you’ll have the latest gossip. Money making blogs may also be great if you read the business page of your newspaper or watch the business channel online. Hope this helps as well.

Hi Garry,
After viewing some posts yesterday I was looking for the navi bar to return to the home in the top and I didn’t at first notice it. The red links in the black background don’t stand out. Also I think the previous post section is a bit low. apart from that the new look is great.
Oh well, I think I’m too used to the traditional blog format.

Thanks George!
For the next 9 months I am going to be a FREAK!! about making money… We have to save up a lot of money. I just received my Google check today in the mail for $5500 dollars and that is really motivating for me!! That was my last 2007 check… from this point on, its all about 2008. I am attempting to double what I made every month last year.
I am totally excited about 2008 and this is going to be a really awesome year for bloggers. However, there is a lot of work for me to do… it’s crunch time and I am racing against the clock now!

I look forward to seeing your results, I hope you surpass you goals.
All the best,
George

I think you need a certain mindset to run all those blogs. I tried running 10 and went slightly crazy, dropped to actively maintaining 4 and that was difficult, so now I’m wrapping everything under my main two sites.
I truly admire you being able to do all that!

I sure hope it will be an awesome year for bloggers.
So far it’s looking good.

And I thought I was a freak running 55 blogs.. Looks like I’ve got some catching up to do!
I’ve taken a slightly different strategy for my sites – Delegation. I have a staff of writers who handle a large percentage of the writing on my various blogs. I handle the backend stuff, marketing, SEO, etc. They handle the content. I give them a percentage of the profits, and everyone walks away happy.
But you make good points – I have some sites that I manage by myself, and I use Google Alerts and some other tools to keep up-to-date on things going on in those sectors.. Great sources for inspiration for future posts!

Garry, I have officially enrolled in the Garry Conn Crash Cash Course! Reading through all of these posts is very enlightening. It makes my head spin thinking about that many sites, but the concept is something I have pondered many times.
