How Do I Find Material To Write About

Free Web Designs

In my last article I talked about how many words an article should be. In this article I want to teach you a few tricks in how you can easily find your writing material. As you know, pretty much the only expense in blogging is your time. Knowing this fact, you should exercise many strategies and place a lot of effort into doing things that help you save time.

While blogging doesn’t have much expense other than your time, everyone knows that time in itself is priceless. The reason being is simple, you can never get time that you waste back. People can lose money and even lose real big, but they still have the option of making lost money back. People can lose their house to a fire, and have the option of repairing or even rebuilding. People can lose their jewelry and purchase replacements. The only thing in your life that can’t be replaced is your time.

How Can I Save Time Finding My Writing Material

Here are a few things that I do that allow me to be able to write very effectively and quickly while also providing excellent content. These tips are so simple that you’ll probably kick yourself for not thinking of it too.

Choose Topics You Know by Heart

For one, let’s take this blog for instance. www.GarryConn.com is a personal blog of mine where I write content that helps you learn more about blogging and making money online. Believe it or not, this doesn’t require much research at all. Most of my articles are written very quickly because the information is kept bottled up in my head. When it comes time to extract this information, my brain simply tells my fingers what to type. My only limitation for me literally is in my typing speed.

Learn How To Type

For that matter alone, I suggest too that you learn how to type. Many years ago, I learned how to type using a program called Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing Deluxe. This is an awesome program and is constancy updated. Newest edition was released February of 2008 and it sells for under $20 bucks. Learning how to type and do so very quickly and accurately is the key to my success. I would not be where I am at today if I didn’t know how to type. I type around 75 words per minute with an average accuracy of about 95%.

Subscribe To Relevant Material

For me, I subscribe to email newsletters, RSS feeds and even printed magazines to get material to write about. While I never copy and paste other people’s content, by reading external sources of material, it allows me the ability to expand from what I read and put it into my own words. Many times I will also include a hyperlink to connect my article with the references that inspired me to write it.

Get The Material Submitted Into You

You also have the option of collecting data from your readers and users. Provide an online form on your blog or web site that asks readers certain questions and encourages them to elaborate on their questions in detail. Explain and encourage your readers to do this by letting them know that their question may have a chance of being included and published on your blog or web site. Everyone enjoys some level of attention and many people will be thrilled to not only have their questions answered but also become famous in the process. In return you are able to help your readers by answering questions while they supply quality writing prompts and content for your blog or web site.

Good tips, there are many ways to come up with content or material to write about. I do agree, it should be something that comes easy, too much research will burn you out.

Bloggers what to get inside your head, so whatever knowledge is in there, dish it out in digestible portions. It also keeps blogging fun, when you have to do too much research, it becomes work, and who wants that? :)

I do subscribe to relevant content too. That sometimes inspires me to word my ideas into post.

By the way, I would like to advertiser with you for 125×125 banner space. But there are two doubts

1. I see market leverage ad at the mentioned ad space on your advertise page.
2. I don’t have 125×125 logo ready for my website that could be advertised here.

Any help!

Another thing I would suggest is to not over subscribe, if you have too many items in your feed reader it will take much longer to go through, figure out what feeds you actually need and get rid of the ones you use less often.
