How Do I Find Niche Topics To Write About?
Finding profitable niche topics to write about can be a complicated thing. A reader of my blog named, Henjo, who created a really cool niche blog titled, Kindle Bookreader wants my advice on how to find niche topics to write. While I’ll admit finding profitable topics can be complicated, having an open mind and seeing the blog post in everything around you can make all the difference in the world. Here is a copy of the email.
Hi Garry,
I appreciate your sharing a lot – thanks so much! I just started with some niche websites and like to find out more on how to find a good niche. I read your article on concrete curbing and that’s about all I could figure out on your site about how to find a niche.
Do you have more on how to find a niche online? Would be cool.
Currently I have started (in a thoughtless moment without many research) http://www.kindle-bookreader.com.
I am a freelance developer for mainly wordpress and typo3 (which is really neat running multiple websites in one installation).
Well – have a great time and thanks again for sharing!

The Google AdWords Keyword tool is an amazing program that can help you extract out profitable topics to write about. To make things eaiser when using the keyword tool, I recommend starting with simple words such as doctor, computer, or house. Then narrow your search down into more micro niche topics. The objective is to uncover keywords that have a high cost per click while also having a low level of competition coupled with a decent search count.

I think niche writing suits a certain type of writer too, some people are just better at being able to write in a broad range of niches while others will excel at producing good content but only in a niche they have a passion for. Identifying the type of writer you are can go along way to helping you become more successful.
Hey Garry, thanks for answering my question. Always good to know if you are on the right track. Doing good old research and being smart… That’s basically the magic we need.
@Blog Income Report: I guess you are right. I just happen to be in love with the internet and creating websites. So there’s a thrill in creating sites. And learning about niche topics that might not have so much interest by me personally adds to my personal development – so that helps! When it comes to writing blogs, I agree with you all the more: If you have no passion I guess you will not write enough good content…
Hi Garry. As usual you provide quality information and tips. I have a question with regards to the Adwords keyword tool. I was going to send this question in an email but I thought maybe others might experience the same thing.
Sometimes when I enter my keyword and click on “get keyword ideas” everything works fine except the green bar does not show up? Any clues on what might cause this. I thought it my be a Firefox issue but the same thing happens in IE……..
Thanks again for all that you do……….. cheers……. eric
