How Do I Take Things To The Next Level With Making Money Online
Today I received an email from Zippy Sandler who runs a blog titled, Champagne Living. His question is one that I am sure most people often have, who are starting to earn money online each month. Basically, what Zippy wants to know is how he can take things to the next level.
She indicated to me that she is consistently earning around $100 dollars per month using Google AdSense but seems to be stumped on how he can scale his model towards earning more each month. Here is a copy of his email that she sent to me.
Hi Garry,
Of course as a fairly new blogger I have LOTS of questions. I think I’m on the right track. I’ve been blogging for a little over 4 months.
I have 54 followers, 145 subscribers to my feed, I’m ranked TwitterElite in South Florida (with 1131 followers). I have a “regular” check each month coming from my adsense (in the $100 range) and another $50 or so monthly from my other advertisers. I’m ranked #1 on google for my blog’s catch phrases (“live rich for less”, “live rich”, “living rich”). I try to write good clear helpful content. My question is kind of general….where do I go from here to grow? I seem to be stalling. I’m afraid it’s because I’ve really used social media to get where I am. Only about 8% of readers come from search engines.
Sorry for rambling, but I wanted to give you a bit of background. Thank you.
Bests Regards,
Zippy Sandler

My advice to bloggers who are in a situation similar to Zippy’s is to build more blogs. Once you have a blog that is earning around $100 per month using Google AdSense, it is now time to invest time and energy into creating a second and even a third blog.
In the case with Zippy, she depends a lot on social media traffic. My guess is that his blog does get a decent amount of traffic; however, his AdSense click conversions are quite low. In the email, she mentioned that only 8% of his total traffic come from search. If the tables were turned and 92% of his traffic came from search engines, then she would be earning a lot more money.
Ultimately in a situation like this I would recommend starting additional blogs and focus on using post titles and content that target keywords and phrases that most people commonly search for in Google.

I took a look at champagne living too, I think that if you are getting 8% of traffic from search engines, have you checked to see if you are targeting highly trafficed keywords. “living rich” hardly gets any traffic and is it what people would search to find what you are offering. I think your site looks ok I think you should concentrate on expanding your keyword list and focusing your traffic.
I think Zippy here is already doing a great job. Why? Because he just started 4 months back and he is already earning more than $100 a month.
Great job Zippy. I’m sure you will make it to hundred a day.
No doubt… you are very right there. I should totally acknowledge that as well. I think Zippy has a huge drive to push forward and will do very well. A year from now, or even less, I don’t see any reason why he couldn’t generate a full time income from his work online.
Garry how many blogs can one start. if we start 100 blogs dont we need 100 article’s per day to post and that costs money.
Garry – thank you so much for taking the time and giving me some CONCRETE feedback that I can use. Yes, I am new and learning and I thank you for your advice. I had a difficult time finding keywords, as my blog is not about earning money, but rather about how to use CREATIVE methods to live a RICH lifestyle. I teach how to buy a car from a wholesale dealer, how to get a McMansion for the price of an apartment, how to dine out and go to the movies for FREE, get VIP treatment when you travel, etc. It’s less about EARNING money and more about finding alternative methods to get what you want. I think that because I tackle SO MANY various subjects that KEYWORDS are definitely an issue. I also rank highly for FREE MOVIES and a few other keywords.
What has started out as a FUN way to pass the time (I’m retired) is become a whole new world for me.
Thanks again for all of your help.
Zippy – oh by the way – I’m a SHE not a HE…LOL
Hi zippy,
first off, I am Googled your keywords and don’t show your blog coming up on page one?
also, I think that “living rich” is a decent keyword to attack as far as traffic goes (about 4400 searches per month according to Goog keyword tool) but the estimated CPC is only 90 cents. that means you clicks for that key word will only pay you around 15 cents.
personally, I won’t target a keyword that is less than $2 in the keyword tool so that way I can get around 75 cents or more per click. but that is just me.
I’d bet that “free movies” ain’t payin’ much in CPC either, LOL
actually, I would wonder where you are getting clicks from? are your twitter followers clicking the adsense? if so, you really have some loyal followers man!
best of luck,
AL
I am so sorry about that. I do that all the time, I didn’t mean any offense to that and will correct that right away. I am glad that you enjoyed the feedback. I think you will do fine. Keep on working, scale what you do and pump out content.

You’ll see it come up as champagneliving.blogspot.com which is the site that champagneliving.net points to. That is my blog Champagne Living, I haven’t made the switch from .blogspot.com to .net permanent yet, but they are one in the same (sorry for the confusion).
I did a little research today and “good life” looks to be a better keyword then “living rich” in terms of #’s & $ – so, you’ll be seeing a LOT more of that phrase.
Zippy
Zippy, you need to stop depending on Social Media, if you want to make money off Google Adsense. Social Media is a disaster for Adsense and could be end of your dreams. Work on the SEO front, both on-page and off-page. If Living Rich is your keyword, why are you not using it on your homepage title? In time, you will see the growth you been looking for.
Lastly, you can do only one thing. Either please the masses, or make money. Not both.
Great feebback, Gary i noticed you been busy, life must be good, glad to hear it, im sure the office was a handfull, look forward to some more post’s when your life setles down a bit. I’ve been working hard too my game streams never stop.
