What is Search Engine Optimization (SEO)? Search engine optimization (SEO) as a subset of search engine marketing seeks to improve the number and quality of visitors to a web site from “natural” (“organic” or “algorithmic”) search results. The quality of visitor traffic can be measured by how often a visitor using a specific keyword leads to a desired conversion action, such as making a purchase or requesting further information. In effect, SEO is marketing by appealing first to machine algorithms to increase search engine relevance and secondly to human visitors. The term SEO can also refer to “search engine optimizers”, an industry of consultants who carry out optimization projects on behalf of clients.
How To Increase Backlinks?
Luckily, increasing backlinks to your site is very easy, but something that typically is totally overlooked. So many bloggers worry about why their posts/articles don’t receive any comments… where in reality you should be only worried about commenting on other blog sites. Commenting is the key to increasing backlinks. For every comment you leave on another blog site, eventually this will count as a backlink. It does take time for Google to account for the link and attribute the backlink back to your site. It seems like once every four months is when Google updates their PageRank. But again, its just a matter of time before Google does find the pages you comment on. Additionally, as these pages that you comment on increase in their own PageRank, so will your page that links from these pages. Commenting on other sites is very important towards increasing backlinks to your site. Also it is important that you do not spam people on other sites. If you comment on another site, make sure the content reflects that high quality and unique content already found on your site. Google bots as well as people are less interested in comments that say, “Hey, nice site… I liked your article”. It is better to add your opinion, view, or suggestion in comments. The more content you add, the more keyword groups Google will eventually tag up with your content.

Site looks pretty good. You have an issue though and need to find out some where you have forgot a closing </a> tag because both your left and right sidebar are linking back to your homepage.

The web is full of people selling links, and other practices which in the end will only damage your page rank.
The funny thing is that they ask you money to hurt you, or provide absolutely uneffective/zero value services, all in the name of SEO.

I liked the way you have clearly specified that how to increase the backlinks and in further the page rank of the website.
I have gone through many similiar links and posts and most of them finally comes to ask for some sort of money or like that to exchange the link.
I tried to post the URL of my friend’s website at many places but whenever I search thru link:http://chotanarad.com .. I have just seen only 4-5 backlink but whenever I searched http://www.chotanarad.com on google I got more than 10 page results. I am not able to understand that why is this happening.

This is really interesting post. I also think that commenting is one of the best and the most easiest way to make backlinks. I had been working on this for a long time and i expect that soon i’ll see some good results for it.

came across your blog while looking for ways to improve my backlinks. Found your comments very informative and am now concentrating on increasing the number of backlinks to my websites.
I have been lucky so far in that I have five websites that are either fully or partially developed and all of these have extremely high SERP rankings. All of them are within the top five returned results on Google, Yahoo, Bing and Alta Vista.
Question. Will my high SERP rank enable me to collect more backlinks or is the SERP irrelevant to backlink numbers?

hey guys don’t spend your time by commenting on the other blog it is just useless bacause the comments have no follow attribute which means they are not indexed by google thus they are not counted as backlinks try finding do follow blogs but believe me they are hard to find because most of the blog are using no follow.try to find more about no follow
The information you gave regarding backlinks seem very interesting but I was wondering if you can elaborate a little more on it. For instance can you leave comments on any site or is there only certain sites that give you that option. I have an online based business and I am trying to bring traffic to it and I have submitted my site to 100’s of directory and still my ranking is weak if not un-noticeable. If you can give me some hints on how to get other websites to link back to me I would be grateful.

It's just a good post and is well explained , blog commenting is one of the best way to increasing backlinks.
I have heard that backlinks on the comments does not really count and are ignored by major search engines. Is it ture? I have added number of quality comments with my Site link to http://www.MyTimePass.com but i dont see Google updating my page rank. It is still “”Zero”.
