How To Increase Traffic by Purchasing Social Network Votes
Scoring traffic to can be a tricky element towards the success of your blog. For me I enjoy search engine traffic; however, for many people scoring traffic from Google just doesn’t seem to happen. Even for me with new blogs that I launch, it can take awhile to start scoring search engine traffic.
So what do I do? Well, I turn to the social networks to help fuel my blogs with traffic. Scoring traffic from social networks is pretty easy for me. The reason why it is easy for me to score traffic is social networks is because I have a lot of online friends. Social network rating and voting systems are rigged. No one really talks about it in public, but everyone knows that the more friends you have, the more votes you can get. Whether that is right or wrong, it is a reality.
So what happens if you can’t get traffic to your blog from search engines and you if you don’t have any online friends to help swing about 100 votes? Well, the answer is you can buy votes! Paying people money for votes is something that has been going on for a long time; however, up until recently, I have never found a web site that actively provides such a service. Typically, these paid voting services are very underground.
I guess all that is changing now because there is a new web site I found called uSocial who is providing a public service of selling social network votes. For as little as $105 dollars you can purchase 100 Digg, StumbleUpon, or Propeller votes. The strange thing about this service is the fact that it is actually very appealing! Again, I am not here to judge whether a service like this is right or wrong, but I do think that a service like this can be very effective towards drilling into a quick source of traffic.
If you are looking for a quick and fast way to score traffic and don’t want to invest money into PPC, then you might consider checking it out. One thing that I do not like about PPC is the fact that when you are done paying for the traffic, you have nothing to show for it. With social network traffic, you do. In many cases, if your content is good and people within the social networks enjoy what they see, not only do they vote but sometimes they even write about it on their own blogs. As you know, this gives you backlinks that point back to your blog. This is something that you don’t commonly see happening with PPC.
For those who want a lot of votes, up until the 15th of December, uSocial is offering 10% off on their 200 vote package. If it was me, I would probably order the upgrade because it would increase my chance of making it to the front page. Also for those who are always on the hunt for new affiliate programs, uSocial has one of those too! Their affiliate program offers 25% commission on any sales that you refer.
So what do you think? Do you think people should purchase social network votes? A lot of people are doing it, but uSocial seems to be one of the only web sites I can find who actually provide this as a very public service. Drop a comment and share your thoughts.

in my experiece, social traffic is junk… they dont stay long, click on anything or purchase any product. Most if the time it all about votes for the page pushers
Yesterday I just to bought it. It is a good service. Thank you Garry.
I can agree with that. For me, I know for a fact that social traffic is no good for my niche blogs that are monetized with Google AdSense. But often I do wonder what would happen if I were to snag a product or service from places like MarketLeverage and instead of go the PPC route, go the social network route?
I have quite a few online friends who could help me push something, but I know that I couldn’t get to the front page of Digg very easily. I think it takes quite a few votes to get to the Digg front page.
Once again, I am not here to say paying for votes is right or wrong, I am more / less just looking at the math behind it. I know that PPC is quite expensive, especially if you’re like me and don’t know much about it, but one thing I know for sure, is that social network traffic can totally kill a server with tons of traffic.
StumbleUpon.com gives me a lot of traffic when someone submits something into their network, and at times it does put a huge strain on my server resources. Something like this very well might work. But as you said, it really depends on what you are expecting to receive from the traffic.
That is great to hear. Which voting package did you order? Did you get the 100 vote package or the 200 vote package? Also, which social network did you choose? Thanks for sharing your experience with this.
Thanks for sharing this info. As dex mentioned, the first burst of social traffic is for a day or two and it will only put enormous stress on your server. However, the there are indirect benefits like backlinks from other sites, including some other social media sites. E.g. Many people bookmark some digg stories in delicious and stumbleupon.
I could never use this service and still feel good about myself…
I’m still working the video…I’m sick, behind on many things, but it’s still in queue guys…just fyi for those interested…I have not forgotten it.
Just want to make sure I don’t allow the law hammer to drop on my wee little head.

Average of $1 per vote seems kind of pricey. However, sites I’ve seen doing this same type of service are about the same. If someone came out with this same service, but charged 50cent a vote, that would be killer!
