http://www.FriendFeed.com by far is my most favorite social network. With FriendFeed.com I can take in all my content from all over the place and pull it into one place for people to read. It was funny when I joined to, it was like people were waiting for me there already and I was late to show up. I just joined FriendFeed about two weeks ago and I absolutely love it.

Just from the standpoint of having your blog’s content shown in another corner of the web, which is seen by (hopefully) other passersby. Additionally, the likes of Twitter, FriendFeed, and SecondBrain are helpful in that they combine different activities one performs on the web (e.g., blog posting, twittering, stumbling, etc.).

The responses aren’t like totally insane or anything… but I am getting a nice trickle of new email list subscribers for my own blog here. With Aweber I can see the exact page where people sign up so it is easy for me to tell if they are signing up after visiting from the social networks.

What I could do is create a separate page for each social network that way I could know exactly which social network generates the most conversions in email list sign ups. But I am not going to invest that much time into it. As long as I have people subscribing to me email mailing list, I am a happy man.

I have a very difficult time keeping myself from posting more than one per day. The amount of traffic I get from Google is nuts. The more content I publish equals more and more traffic. However, I too understand that it may be difficult for regular readers to follow my blog if it is too high in volume.

I used to discount social media traffic but am quickly inderstand that if you tailor yourself to it, it can really help out.

I will def do this with a few sites.
