How To Make Money Online Selling Domain Names
There are so many different ways to make money online but have you thought about making money online by selling domain names? Sounds like a lot of work, huh? Well, maybe not because I just found an easy way you can make money selling domain names while not having to do a thing. I am not joking.
A few weeks ago I wrote a post telling you all to visit www.websitemagazine.com and subscribe to their free monthly magazine. If you subscribed to the magazine you would have seen the center fold advertisement this month for Rick Latona. I am not sure of the exact costs to take the center fold position in Website Magazine but I am sure that it is quite expensive. But who is Rick Latona?
Rick Latona is an domain name auctioneer who runs a super huge mailing list packed full of domain names he is actively brokering. Some of the domain names he has under his wing include: French.com, CatFood.com, and GolfClothing.com. Needless to say I wanted to learn more.
I took some time this afternoon to visit Rick’s web site and I was totally impressed. In fact, the guy is totally transparent with his business and marketing efforts and openly released a post about his experience with advertising on Website Magazine. But what about making money online selling domains, how does that work?
Simple. Rick Latona has a very quick and easy online form set up on his site where you can submit your domain names and he will including them in his domain name newsletter. Rick doesn’t charge money to do this. The only thing Rick wants is 10% of the domain name sale, which in my opinion is very fair.
So how can you make money online selling domain names? How can you make money online doing this while doing nothing? Easy! Simply submit any and all the domain names that you want to sell over to Rick and let him take care of it. All he wants to know is the domain name you have to offer, the price you want to sell it for, and a way to contact you.
The way I see it is like this… in business, pretty much everything is for sale and pretty much everything has a price tag on it. So while you might not be actively trying to sell your domain name, who’s to say that if someone presented a nice offer to you that you wouldn’t be interested in accepting it?
Lastly, if you haven’t subscribed to Website Magazine yet, what are you waiting for. It’s a free magazine and one of my personal favorites.
Have you thought about selling domain names before? What about site flipping? Share your thoughts about this type of business in the comments. Also, let me know what you think about Rick Latona’s domain name auction business.

I’ve considered both domain and site flipping before but figure I’d just end up with a pile of useless domain and sites I don’t know how to program properly, lol.
This is very interesting because I’ve got a domain name that I’ve been thinking about selling. My problem is that I don’t know the first thing about how to go about doing so. This might be just the thing I’ve been looking for.
Worst part is that I get Website Magazine and I didn’t even pay attention to that ad. Go figure.
lol
Thats ok Chris… I just read the front inside cover and discovered that Website Magazine isn’t going to be free anymore.
Oh well, that’s fine… they should charge a little money for it… but I guess the reason for that is because they ain’t making the money they thought they would with the ads.
I’ve thought about selling domains as well and have also been worried about getting lumbered with a load of domians that nobody wants.
I think I’ll stick to affiliate marketing.

I Have considered purchasing domains online. Among other business it is also getting much effective for the public who are really looking for a suitable domain for their business oriented website.
It is more difficult to make a killing from selling domains now, recently, there was an annoucement of releasing a www2.
Although, that could be another window opportunity.
Ugh, looking back now I wish i had some kept some domain names I’ve ditched =/

Great stuff! I’ve read about Rick Latona in one of the domain name forums but haven’t really given it much thought. Good thing you brought his name up as at least I know I can “trust” him in having some of my domain names sold since I haven’t sold any. Talk about just buying without knowing how to sell..lol
Dear Garry,
Before attempting to sell domain names you need to buy domains and to give them some good wanted names… Well… I’m good at names of course, but i heard that a good domain cost 150-200$ and some of us don’t have the possibility to pay online or don’t have money at all… I’m sorry… If you want to winn money, you have to invest money and i don’t have any! Sorry dear… Bell
