How To Make Money Online With Pepperjam

Pepperjam is a great way to make money online and requires similar strategies compared to making money online with Google AdSense.  If you are not a member of the Pepperjam Network you can join for free by filling out their application form. It usually takes the Pepperjam Network a day or two to approve accounts. Once approved you’ll have open access to over 100 or so different advertisers. You can always learn more about Pepperjam before joining.

Making money online with Pepperjam isn’t much different than making money online with programs such as Google AdSense.  To make money online with Google AdSense you need a web page or pages with uniquely written content and you need a source to drive targeted traffic to it. From there the Google AdSense code generated relevant ads based off the content written. Making money online with Pepperjam isn’t too much different.

The only real BIG difference is that instead of freely writing what you want and allowing Google AdSense ads to display ads based of your content, your content actually needs to be written based off the business, product or service that you are promoting from the Pepperjam network. This may sound like very basic common sense, but really the reason why I mention this is because I don’t see many sites at all doing this.

What I do see is folks participating in the Pepperjam network and placing randomly selected banner ads on their blogs. This isn’t very effective because you are not displaying these banner ads to targeted traffic. An example of this would be just taking the highest paying Pepperjam campaign and placing their banner ad on your sidebar and hoping for the best. Granted, this does work, but in my experience it isn’t very effective at all.

Pepperjam is a great program to work with. For me, I make a lot of money using Google AdSense, so it is natural that I enjoy working with Pepperjam too. Google AdSense is a safe way to make money online. What I mean by that is the fact that when I drive traffic to a page with Google Adsense, there is a great chance that the traffic will leave my page after clicking on a Google AdSense ad.

Quite the opposite is true with Pepperjam or any affilaite marketing system for that matter. There is a huge difference between scoring “window shopper” clicks compared to getting clicks that convert into leads or sales from the affilate services being promoted.

Typically conversions are very much lower compared to getting clicks with Google AdSense. That is ok though, as long as you know up front what to expect, then you shouldn’t feel like you are doing poorly. As mentioned, it is extremely effective when you use proper marketing strategies with Pepperjam in order to find a higher conversion rate on your campaigns.

Mentioned earlier I taked about finding a source to drive targeted traffic to your web pages. For me, that source is in Google. The great thing about Google is the fact that they weed out the tire kickers from the people that are truly interested in the content I publish. What I mean by that is simple. If I write a web page or a blog post about the NASA space shuttle, I will likely NOT get traffic from Google with people who are looking for dog food.

When Google sends me traffic to my NASA space shuttle page, it’s is already pre-filtered traffic, or as we called it, “Targeted Traffic.” These folks are here to inquire about the NASA space shuttle, nothing less and nothing more.  To making money online with Pepperjam, you should browse their advertisers directory and see all the different campaigns and offers and simply pick a few to write about. In due time, that content will get picked up in the search engines and eventually you’ll start to receive free targeted traffic to these pages that promote the Pepperjam advertisement.

Keep in mind, I mentioned that conversions are typically much lower compared to Google AdSense. A great way to help offset the lower conversions is to place a Google AdSense ad at the bottom of your page. You never want to put a Google AdSense ad at the top because again your goal is to get a conversion on your campaign which will pay much more than a Google AdSense click.

For the people that visit your page who don’t have an interest in what you are offering them, you can also give them the additional option to click on a Google AdSense ad at the bottom of the page. That way you help increase your chances of getting paid when people vist your web page.

All in all, Pepperjam is a great program to get your feet wet in the business of making money online through affiliate marketing using a blog. They have a great list of advertisers to choose from which gives you a very broad range of things to write about. Again, the goal here with Pepperjam is to write reviews on the businesses, products and services offered within their network. If you do that, then eventually you’ll score free organic search traffic from the search engines, which will totally increase your odds of getting conversions over simply slapping up a banner ad in your sidebar.

Hey G Hows it going? !
Great post , which comes at just the right time, actually your last few posts have been very timely too.
Forest park, joe swopes and myself have decided to go corner a very specific niche market. (Just bought the domain last night)
And from the sounds of this post it looks like pepperjam may be a great monetization strategy for it, along with a very cool e-bay script that forest has cooked up !!
I did a whack of keyword research using Microniche finder (<<<insert aff link here :-P )
plus a few other keyword and market research tools I have and use. We came up with 3 very targeted segments of a niche that have great potential, with high demand and very little to moderate competition. Good thing is that being the crafty people that we are and having all the very best resources to draw upon (GCDC) it looks like we wont have much problem with running away with this market. And it looks as though pepperjam might just be a good fit.
You have a nasa blog? , how freaking geekishly cool is that!!!!.
I’m toying with the idea of doing a blog in the space area. Love that stuff, one of my passions.

Nice post. I was gonna sign up for pepperjam but unlike market leverage they ask for tax info and all that stuff so I’d have to ask my dad to fill the thing out for me.

Pepperjam is an awesome network, I really like it. I think you touched on some great points about targeted traffic, and not just throwing up a banner. It makes alot of sense, and something that we should pay attention to.
