How To Make Really Good Money Online With A Blog

Ok, so I talk about this all the time, right? I talk about how you can easily make money online with a blog. Lately, this has been all about creating niche blogs. You know, blogs about a certain topic, product or service. A niche blog is a blog that has content related to strictly one thing, such as cell phones, boats, home repair, etc…

While there is nothing wrong with niche blogging, people have to understand that building an empire of niche blogs can’t happen overnight. Consequently, money doesn’t get made over night either. All in all, there are great and positive solutions with making money online creating niche blogs. But once again, this all takes time.

For some people, time isn’t something that is available. Money is needed NOW! There are bills to pay, kids who need clothes and gas that needs to get put into the tank. With that said, how can you quickly make money online with a blog? How can you make money using a blog while gaining almost immediate and over night results? What can you do right NOW to make money while you build your empire of niche blogs?

To answer that, let’s look at what I have been doing with my personal blog. I have over 10 years experience in building web sites. For me that is hard to believe how fast time goes by, but seriously, I have been building web sites since 1997. This is a professional trade that I am an expert in, I am very good at it and I just simply love doing it.

So what do I do? Well, I happen to have a fairly popular blog where I talk to people about how to make money online. The topic I write about has no relevance. The point being is this: I have a blog that has allowed me the opportunity to make a lot of friends and now I am using that blog to tell them about a professional service that I do for a living. That professional service happens to be web design, or rather blog design.

With that said, I have creatively created a service in which I can provide a blog building service to my readers at no cost to them. I don’t charge my readers one penny towards building them a blog. I do however, get paid… the person that pays me is the web hosting company I refer my readers to. What all this boils down to is very simple: I am providing my readership with a professional service I am an expert in. I am an expert blog designer and I provide people with a very professional and affordable service.

With that said, what do you do for a living? What are you an expert in? Do you know how to repair computers? Are you a professional plumber? Are you an auto mechanic? Are you a vacuum cleaner repair guy? Again, what are you an expert in? I believe that everyone is an expert in something. I also believe that each individual’s expertise can be used help other people. Also too, I believe that it is very ethical and very fair to be compensated for providing your expert level skill to someone else.

How do you make money online with a blog? Simple. Spend some time with thinking about how you can provide a professional service to your blog readership and get paid for doing it. It doesn’t matter what topic you write about on your blog. You may be an expert in the roofing business, but have a popular blog about auto racing. The point being is that you have people who love you, follow you and enjoy reading what you write. In the mean time though, they have no idea that you run a roofing business. They have no clue about what your professional trade or chosen career is.

If you sit back for a minute and think about how you can help your readers by providing them your expert service, in return you can get some really quick cash doing it. Believe me, I would know. I have made close to $5,000.00 dollars building blogs for my readers so far this month. If you are a professional roofer, all you have to do is let your readership know and explain to them that you can actually save them money by teaching them how to do it themselves.

Think about that for a minute. If you are a roofer and run a blog about auto racing, all these people that read your blog have one thing in common. They all have roofs over their heads and eventually these roofs will indeed need to be repaired or replaced. With you being the professional roofer that you are, you also know how expensive it is to have a roof repaired or replaced.

How much do you think your readers would appreciate you telling them what you do for a living and providing them with an eBook coupled with some Do-It-Yourself roofing videos? What if you built this “Roof Repair Kit” and sold it to your readers for $29.95 but in return this product would save them thousands of dollars? Don’t you think that they would love you for that? Don’t you think that they would gain even MORE trust in you? Don’t you think that they would gain even more interest in reading your blog because they felt a stronger connection and bond with you?

What are you an expert in? What can you help your readers with? What can you do to better the lives of the people that read your blog regardless of the blog topic? If you can figure that out and then figure out a way to develop a professional service to provide your readers, then once again, you can quickly see some good money coming in from your blog while you too continue building your niche blogs for passive income.

Greta post Garry,

that’s why I’ve given up building MFA blogs, because it wasn’t not empowering me. Now I’m working on my personal development and oneday I’ll be able to help other people. At the beginning it will be for free, when eventually I’ll get better, I’ll find a way to charge for it.

Nice to still see content with great value on your blog. What I appreciate most of you is that you are honest and say how you make money without wanting to sell your readership with every promotion strikes around the net.

Keep rocking !

ciao
alex

I think that I should say that building MFA’s and niche blogs / sites are two complete different items. MFA — which stands for Made For AdSense, just in case people don’t know — is a site that is strictly made for the purpose of making money online using Google AdSense. Typically the content is of very low value and fails to help people.

Micro Niche Blogging is the complete opposite. The content should be of excellent quality and should be entertaining, informative or useful. Going into the project with that mindset is what will deliver the best results and give you the most personal satisfaction and reward for your creation.

Good post. I think it’s only a matter of time before more off-line business start using blogging as a valuable means for generating a potential customer base. In my case I’m not quite an expert yet, but I’m incredibly transparent in the things that are working for me in this “make money online niche” and those that are not.

There is nothing wrong with having transparency in your business, but also too I believe that many things in business should be left private due to competition. You don’t want to show all your cards and that is something that took me over a year to learn here on my blog.

Blogging is a very powerful thing in many ways. Business should be using blogs to advertise their business, products and services to help reduce advertising cost and to help control and maintain a positive public image.

People should create blogs to meet friends and learn more about the different cultures around the world. Additionally, people should create blogs to aid in them making a little money on the side, nothing wrong with that.

All in all, blogging is so quickly overpowering the content found on the Internet and it is because of people like us that contribute to this and basically in many ways, rebuild the Internet.

Excellent post. but the problem is there are too many blogs now on the net, this makes very difficult for a blogger to make money online as easy as it used to couple of years ago, there’s hard competition here.

Dude, I am sorry, but your blog is totally lame. :(

I know that you may be having fun, but really, I think you can do better than this. I wouldn’t say this if I didn’t care.

Garry, you are right, his blog does suck & will never make any money, he will be lucky to recoup his domain name cost…
If he has been online for a couple of years as he implies in his comment, you would think he had got over trying to impersonate someone else & come up with a good idea that just might be worth the effort…

I am sorry, I don’t mean to come across as being a dick, but I’d really like to see that people get over the need to do sites like this. I am sure this guy means well and I should have just shut my mouth. Oh well…

You didn’t come across as a dick…& I know there can be great fun in taking the piss out of Chow, Cow, ShoeMoney and all the others out there, but buying domain names in the hope of cashing in off them is just sad in my opinion…
Go comment on their blogs & let them know what you think but by buying up parody domain names you are only encouraging them to keep posting the bull that the parody’s complain about.
Maybe I’ll buy http://www.garryconn-me.com & post about how I’ll create your site for -1c…
By the way Garry, I happily paid the 1c hosting setup through your hostgator link but am getting slightly worried that I haven’t been asked yet to pay for my second month…i presume it’s automated but do they hit you at the end of the following month or 30 days after the order?

You should contact them via Live Support of give them a call to make sure everything is fine. That is what I would do. ;)

The morning after I posted that reply I got my renewal notice, thanks Garry.
Paid for another month, didn’t want to pay for a full year as HostGator seem to have a pretty small limit of 25 processes on each account.
I don’t like using catch all for email because of the amount of spam you can get so usually end up setting up anything between 3 & 20 email addresses depending on the domain requirements.
I have been getting Internal Server Errors on my domains at least twice a day & have been told by HostGaror support that this is due to me having too many ftp & IMAP connections open, never had this issue before so looking at other hosting options now…
If each email & ftp connection is counted as one of your 25 processes it can take down all your sites pretty fast, so not an ideal hosting provider.
I’ll continue to pay by month & hope you get your well deserved commissions but I’ll also switch soon if this keeps happening,
dave.

This is a great idea!!!! I have been buying programs such as Commissioners Blueprint/clickbank
some mini site stuff etc. totally not realizing. I am a Canadian Red Seal Certified Chef, work in a 200 seat reastaurant bar setting/ have been chefing for 25 years etc etc. etc I never even thought of marketing the trade I have been doing my entire life on that note.
Great article I really appreciate your articles they are very good. I was working my way to affiliate marketing through all these other resources but this one has stopped me in my tracks and opened up a whole new concept of where to go with it.

Thanks for the good advice
Chef Tim.

Garry you are running a very good blog. This is the most honest blog I have ever seen honestly.I have a question with your idea, if person signs up with your affiliate link and you build up the blog for the person how will you be sure that person don’t asks for refund and your commission is not taken-off.
