How To Sell Products In ClickBank

So you want to know how to sell products in ClickBank? I did too and spent some time surfing around the ClickBank.com web site and in the process I started to generate some questions that I couldn’t find answers to. Perhaps it was just me, but I had trouble understanding how the process worked, it almost seemed like I needed to set up a second “sellers” account in order to sell on ClickBank. Of course, after contacting support, I now know that this isn’t true.

A lot of money can be made from creating and selling your own products in ClickBank. One of the main reasons why is the simple fact that you have thousands of people who will promote and attempt to sell your products absolutely for free. Granted, if they do make a sale, they need to be rewarded part of the product from the sale.

You might be thinking, “why would I want to pay someone else to sell my product when I can do it myself?” It is true that you can sell your product yourself. But, what’s the point? Why not have other people sell it for you for free with the hopes of earning a commission per sale? Compensating people for selling your product doesn’t cost money, it makes you money. Especially when you have hundreds and even thousands of people marketing your products for you on their web sites and blogs.

If you are interested in learning how to sell products in ClickBank, here is a copy of the email sent to me from a ClickBank client support rep named Ashely.

Hello Garry,

Thank you for your inquiry! It is not necessary for you to sign up for another account. Please find a brief description of the five basic steps necessary to register your products or services with ClickBank below:

  1. If you have not already opened your own ClickBank account, please follow the link below:
    http://www.clickbank.com/sell_products.html
  2. Set up a Publisher’s Pitch Page to accept orders.
  3. Set up a Publisher’s Thank-you Page to fulfill orders.
  4. Test your links to make sure they are set up correctly.
To complete steps 2-4, please refer to http://www.clickbank.com/getting_started.html
  5. Once you have completed these four steps successfully, you will be ready to request a product approval!  To do this, you must fill out the form that is generated by clicking “request approval” within the “My Products” section.

Our Product Approval team will then review your site to make sure your links function properly and your site meets all ClickBank guidelines. You will receive a response by email within three business days of your submission.  Once your product has been approved, you will be notified by email and provided with instructions on how to pay your $49.95 activation fee upon logging into your account.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance. We look forward to working with you!

Thank You,
Ashley

This of course was a response to the following question that I asked:

Hello. I would like to begin selling my own products on ClickBank. Do I need to create a new account in order to do so? When I click the Sell Products Button, it shows me that I have to sign up.

I already have a ClickBank account, do I need to have a second one in order to submit my digital product into the MarketPlace?

Best Regards,
Garry Conn

I may be looking at doing this sometime soon so cheers for the post.

The best thing about having multiple people advertising your product is that if it gets enough people putting links to your site you will obviously get some sales and you will also get a better view in Google from all the link backs to your site….. this means if keyword research is good you will get loads of search traffic.

I also thought about writing a simple ebook and selling it there. I just need to get a program that will make those book covers.
Any advice on that?

Good stuff, many don’t understand how to sell their own products on clickbank. Also, I believe the activation fee is a one-time fee…then you will be able to sell as many products as you want.

At least that’s my understanding, I could be wrong.

And doesn’t Clickbank handle the payments so that you don’t need a shopping cart and such?

It’s a very nice and timely article, especially for those who are looking to list their product, for selling on ClickBank.

If you’re not using an affiliate program setup for selling your products then you’re leaving ton of money on table. Your affiliates are like your sales force. With the help of CB you can easily setup a tracking and manage your affiliate program quite effectively.
