How To Syndicate RSS Content Like A Pro

rss content builderOver the last year I have experimented around with trying to create various web sites that syndicate RSS content of different topics. I have used quite a few programs here and there. One of the most notable was a program call MagPiesRSS. While that program did do its job, it was very difficult to learn how to use. It requires quite a bit of programming experience and that is something most average skilled bloggers don’t have.

A compounding problem with MagPiesRSS was the fact that it wasn’t widely supported by a community. Look at WordPress for instance. If you run into any trouble with the program there are many places you can go to get support. You got friends in the blogosphere that can help, you have the WordPress docs and you even have an online Wordpress support forum. The point is, there is community support for you while running a complicated program. I never got that with MagPiesRSS, yet it was a program that I desperately needed to figure out because I couldn’t find another program that would do what I needed to do.

That is until recently when I discovered a program called RSS Content Builder. This program out of the box is amazing. It is simple to use, extremely user friendly and very easy to install. If I had know about this program a year ago, I probably wouldn’t have given up on creating web sites that are driven by syndicated RSS feeds. I have always been fascinated with having auto sites or in other words, sites that you spend about a day building and then just forget about. They slowly grow like a plant and they begin to make a passive income. Times that by 100 and you’re making good money. I very well may get back into devoting some time into creating more of these auto sites using the RSS Content Builder. You may want to check it out also. I purchased the program so if you have any questions, feel free to ask using the comment form below.

Hey Garry,

I thought about this but do not know where to get the content. Obviously stealing off blogs is pretty wrong but are there places where you can get RSS without going against morals?

I have about 10 or so domains just sitting there and it would be great to start getting them full of RSS content and possibly earning some passive income.

Hi Forest,

From a blogger’s perspective I can totally see how you would feel like you are stealing content. However, the root purpose of having an RSS feed is so that ones content can be syndicates. Unfortunately, bloggers only get to see a one sided experience with this. Time and time again, I get pingbacks from Splogs that some how tapped into my RSS feed and copy my content and publish on their own site.

That is the ugly side of RSS Feeds. If you display the broadcast channel for others, you give them the right to syndicate your content. Bloggers get the tail end of the stick on this as most splog authors are very narrow minded and do not realize that they can use their skills to produce really good sites.

Here is an example of a site that you can build for “The Good of People”.

If you join LinkShare you will notice that many of the participating affiliates such as Walmart, RadioShack and I believe BestBuy provide an RSS Syndication that maintains your affiliate link / referral ID# in the feeds so that you can easily syndicate their products on your web site and make money.

Amazon.com is another company that provides this. CommissionJunction and even ClickBank provide forms of XML data that allow you to download and stream it live on your website.

Syndicating RSS content is awesome and very accepted. Unfortunately, as mentioned above, most bloggers don’t see the big picture of syndicating RSS content for the fact that they are blinded bad the abuse their are subjected to by people running splogs who in common terms, steal your content.

I hope that this helps you with making a decision on purchasing RSS Content Builder. I know for a fact that you’ll have tons of fun with it. :)

Garry, once again you’ve come up with a great product. Just like your offer for your inexpensive advertising, this too is a great offer. I am going to take advantage of both of them. Just not now. My wife and I are moving and my knee injury prevents me from monetizing my blog right now. You probably don’t have time to check out my blog but if you did you would see my situation I’m in right now as I update it daily. I’m saving your email directing me to this site and will be jumping on board when the timing is right. The smartest thing I’ve done on line is sign up for your email subscription. Please keep me in the loop and thanks again.

Mark I am sorry to hear about your health situation. I hope things will get better for you. I am very happy to hear that you place such value in my email newsletter. I work hard at building it and producing very helpful tips for my subscribers (not to mention getting better with the Aweber system… that was a learning process in itself LOL!!!)

Thanks again,
Garry

Sounds like a winner. Is there any chance that you have one or two sites that you have built with this method that you would be willing to share with us, so we can see just what they look like after building them? Thanks Garry.

Dang…why must all these great programs cost money? LOL. I was thinking of creating a BANs site, but it seems like RSS is much easier and better.

@ Dick and Sudarshan,

I have a few sites that I built with MagPIES, ironically they are broken, but when I get them converted over, I’ll drop you a few links for sure. Dick… I already have you setup on my Gmail Talk… Sudarshan, you’re welcome to get connected with me on there as well.

It is funny that you guys asked this… because I was actually considering doing a follow up post in a week or so with an example site that I built. I might even do a creative commons on the design and share it openly.

@ Mike,

LOL I hear ya man!!! A lot of good things come free on the Internet, but not all and RSS Content Builder will cost you some money… but I don’t think its anything that will cause a man to break down in tears over. :)

The great thing about RSS Content Builder is the fact that it is being sold through ClickBank and ClickBank is one of the only companies to offer a complete refund policy.

So, if you absolutely hated this program and then blogged about how Garry sucks for offering such garbage, etc.. etc.. etc.. you could then turn right around and get a refund. LOL!!!

I like ClickBank, there is some really good stuff inside… however, finding the jewels and the hidden treasure among all the BS and garbage is a different story! :)

It’s like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

My best bet would be to try and find something open source-ish for compiling RSS feeds and the likes. OPen source is often not all case though the best way to go.
