How To Use Money To Promote Your Blog But Spend It On Something Else

I am always thinking of different and strange ways to promote my blog. In this post I am going to show you a magical way you can use money to promote your blog but spend it on something else. How often have you had a dollar bill in your hand and noticed a message written on it. Usually the message is something stupid like, “Hey Becky was Here“, or, “Call 552-1010 For a Good Time.” Instead of writing something stupid on a dollar bill, write a little message on it inside such as, “Visit www.YourName.com to get the best information about widgets.” If you’re lazy, just write your website address.

One of the things to consider about doing this - aside from being illegal (lol) - is the number of hands that will grab this dollar bill over time. Unlike a business card that gets stuffed into someone’s wallet until the end of our galaxy’s existence, a dollar bill trades hands very often. Even I can’t imagine how many people handle the same dollar bill over time. Consider this. Let’s assume that for every dollar bill you write your web address on that it will pass the hands of 1,000 people. If you mark 100 bills, you will give your web address 100,000 potential ad impressions. That is huge!

Lets then assume that you get only 1% conversion from this campaign… you’re still looking at a total of 1,000 people to visit your blog. All because you took ten minutes out of your day marking 100 one dollar bills (which you’ll end up spending anyway over time). Oh, and one more thing, I’d like to believe that more than 1,000 people would visit your site over the course of time before your marked dollar bills were exhausted and replaced.
