I have a 60 minute video that I might be offering to you
Last week I decided to download Camtasia 6 using their 30 day free trial. Early this year I snagged a free copy of their version 3 and had some fun with it but eventually lost interest. Recently though with the trial version of version 6, I have had a ton of fun making some videos.
I just completed a 60 minute video that shows you from start to finish on how I build niche blogs. Most importantly, the video shows you how to build one of my most profitable types of niche blogs: The Deal Blog.
This video walks you through finding and registering a domain name, installing WordPress, building a niche WordPress theme, performing all my SEO tricks, and writing powerful content geared specifically for pulling rank in the search engines.
To make a long story short, this 60 minute video pretty much reveals all my secrets and all my skills. This video was done in full screen, total size is close to 200 megs. The picture quality is beautiful. You can see exactly how I code WordPress themes and you can see all the tweaks. Nothing is a secret anymore in this video.
With that said, here I am… I am hesitant to release the video. Granted, I am going to charge money for this download, but that isn’t the concern. The concern is revealing everything in this video and showing you everything I do. Everyone has trade secrets, but should these secrets be sold?
If I release this video, it will dramatically change the lives of many people. It will change your thoughts on the process behind making money online using a blog. I guess for the time being, I will ponder on whether I release this video and make it available for purchase. Your comments on this are totally welcome.

Gary, you are fast becoming a hero to those of us wanting to learn this business. Will it dramatically change lives? I hope so. I need a dramatic change due to recent events in my life. When I can afford to get your video I’ll get it because I know it’ll be good because all of your content is good. Is there a downside to posting your secrets? Sure, but think how much better you’ll feel knowing you helped those of us who need help.

Without seeing the video, I really can’t comment much on the subject. However, I hope it isn’t like what many people offer, which is just old rehashed material that so many use for link bait.
I have been very disappointed with many of the things the big name SEO people have to offer. Example, the whole Stomper Net thing and most of the people affiliated with it, really rehash the same thing over and over, plus charge you over and over as well.
Something free with meat and potatoes, would be nice for a change.
I recently viewed your last video that I suppose is a mini-version of this one. It really inspired me and I went nuts creating a 30 page Norwegian minisite about finding gifts for people who is becoming 40. I am 25 and should not spend my fridays doing that sort of things. ( I did not outsource)
I can not afford to buy this video. I have bought all sorts of stuff in the IM market before with a bitter taste in my mouth after reading/watching it, so I decided to put an end to that. Still I hope you will release it.
If you have an opt-in list you will get a nice handfull of happy followers from it, and that should be worth a lot.

I am a newbie and find myself struggling to wade through all of the information and misinformation on the web about niche marketing, making money online and the myriad of techniques and strategies related to internet marketing. Would I love to watch the video? Absolutely! Am I excited about spending more money on one more item that sounds like it will help me get started? Not so much. If there’s one thing I’m absolutely certain I have learned in my short time researching, it’s that many, many publishers want me to buy their system and learn their secrets. For someone like myself who is just starting out, it’s extremely disheartening sometimes. One recent offer was priced at $2,000. It may be the best thing since sliced bread, but I’m not about to spend that kind of money on something that may end up being a huge disappointment and where I end up feeling like an idiot. Now I’m not at all suggesting anything negative about your products or services because you’re about the only one I’ve found that seems remotely honest and straightforward and who isn’t trying to hard-sell me on the items you offer. And for that, I have purchased a few items through your site and links. Call me cynical, but before I spend more money on something that will undoubtedly make me healthier, wealthier and adored by millions, I want to know a little more about it. I want to know what kind of support I may have after the purchase to really help me get through the questions that will surely arise. I realize there are no guarantees and you are indeed a businessman who earns his living doing this, but at the end of the day, I have to know that I am on the right track and if someone says they are there to help, that I can count on them. One day I truly hope to be in a position to help others along this path, but first I must be convinced that the path is navigable.
Hmm, I really don’t know what to suggest, there are pro and cons in both directions.

brings you in the “abundance mindset”, it will at least bring you authority, maybe backlinks and, if you charge for it, even money. It will bring you also more competition, because once you share your secrets there will be people copying your succes, although in my experience the most of the people fail to take action, specially if you have to work hard, and in your case you work VERY hard. So at the end i think you are preatty save, also considering that the www has still a lot of growing potential (specially if you think creatively like you do).
So at the end I’ve decided: you should share it and if you do it for free I would be particularly happy, but in your shoes i would charge something for it.

Sell the complete make money online with niche blogs package: Release the video including the transcript & proof that others(like newbies) have done it too! Maybe some will want a CD/DVD copy?
You could always release a smaller [screen size] version of your video for free… and then upgrade peeps to the full size.

Yes… indeed you and I speak from time to time and I totally wish you and your family well with your move. It was very difficult for my family and I when we made the move from Chicago to Tennessee.
I don’t want to promise false hope. The only thing required of someone after listening and learning from my video is hard work. I don’t know how people ended up having the perception that making money online was a pipe dream.
In many ways, I work for myself ten times harder than I did for any 9 to 5 job. I love very much what I do. I am not one that “Makes money by telling people about how much money I make.”
I make money online by doing everything I communicate with my readers, such as yourself, on this blog. The video on the other hand, is a tool that allows you to truly learn what I do as if you were sitting next to me on the computer watching me work.

Yes indeed, that would be great to be provided with something like this for free. I can see your view on that clearly. However, the reality of the situation is much different. What is at stake is me making a decision to publish a video that shows people how to duplicate a system that has worked very well for me for close to two years.
This is a system that I continue to duplicate. Every time I duplicate it, it returns a life long profit stream. As much as I’d like to offer this for free, I can not because the system has a lot of value and I will need to be compensated for offering something that took close to two years to research myself. I do totally respect your view though.

I never heard of Stomper Net before until you mentioned it here. I loaded their web site for the first time and yes, this is exactly the kind of stuff that turns me off.
The page loads with an auto start video playing Star Wars music and a narrative individual who comes across as someone who is HIGHLY successful and one who EAGERLY wants to share his “Formula For Success” with you.
Here is the thing, I am not very EAGER to offer my video. I am contemplating whether I should publish it and make it available.
I have always been very skeptical of programs being offered online and even OFFLINE. Everyone wants to experience financial freedom and everyone wants to convert their dreams of making money online into a reality.
It took me a long time to make my dream become a reality for me. And with that, I am sure you can understand how I am protective of it. The confliction I have is with me being protective of something that is very valuable to me while also having the desire to share it with others who I know could really use it.
Does this video rehash material found all over the Internet? No, it doesn’t… but it does rehash the material I have been covering on my blog for many months. It’s all about teaching you how to build niche blogs that I build for myself on a daily basis.
The difference between me and many other people who are in a position to offer products to the public is the fact that what I am offering is something that I truly use daily myself.
Many marketers sell things that they develop and don’t even use. The business of making money for them is simply creating products that can be sold. The offer I have up for grabs is something of great value to myself.

Come on you guys, give the guy a break. I read most of the major blogs in this niche and Gary’s the one that always comes through with the goods. I NEVER buy any of this sort of stuff because most of it either seems to be a scam or a rehash… but I’d make an exception in this case. As I said, Gary delivers frequently and usually for free… so what’s wrong with supporting him a little?

I’ve been reading your blog for a while now and like how you do things. I’d love to see the video to comment specifically on it. You have so much to offer, I think releasing it free (even if just to your subscribers) could be a loss leader that shows your stuff in action. That would lead to bigger and better sales of your future products for sale.

Here’s an alternate solution for you. Perhaps edit the 60 min video down to 30 min and give a broader overview instead of a step-by-step procedure. This gets info out there while at the same time safeguarding your trade secrets. Another solution is a possible limited distribution of the full version. Or a free 30 min version with a paid full 60 min version.
I’m not sure you’re going to find a solution that is going to totally satisfy you. You have the desire to help people (which is rare these days) but at the same time you need to make sure you are taking care of your family as well. Because technically, I think that’s what it’s all about.
I don’t know Gary lol….I know what you do…and if you put it all out there man…well, that’s taking away from your bottom line. At the same time…I believe in the abundance mindset…so, I think the net is ever growing and evolving and big enough for multiple folks to make money.
As much as I’d love to get it for free…I wouldn’t recommend it. I may go as far as to actually limit the number you sell…and maybe do it as a form of “coaching” the video plus Gary Conn help.
Anyone who reads your blog knows you deliver the goods…you could honestly help those out that will do something with it…
Maybe you could even have some sort of application or scholarship contest, and pick 1-5 folks to actually be case studies of the material. After that….you can decide if you want to put it up for sale.
I don’t know man..it really depends on your mindset, abundance or fear like someone said above me.
I know you really love to give great content to others, and I know you probably put together 60 minutes of freakin KILLER content worth more than most of these “super product launches” lol.

In my case, the purpose of this post is to determine whether or not I choose to go forward with publishing my video. I can totally understand that request. The video shows you how I personally build blogs for profit. The video illustrates how to customize and redesign the default WordPress theme and how to optimize it for search engines. Some of these things have been covered on my blog in the past, but they never really SHOW you how its done.
The video isn’t glorified, there isn’t any background music or things that add to the FLUFF factor. It is me showing you what I do to make money online as if you were sitting next to me watching what I do on my computer while explaining all the steps.

No worries, I will make a decision very soon. As mentioned, the video is completely done. It is just a matter of uploading to the server and plugging in a PayPal.com payment button. Once payment is received, the person purchasing will automatically be redirected to the download page.
It will be a zip file which will need to be extracted to your computer. The video was created using Camtasia so all the is required is to load the HTML page supplied in the download and then the video will begin to play. The screen resolution of the video is approximately 1000px by 600px.
I am leaning towards releasing it and I thank you for expressing your thoughts.

I think it`s a matter of weighing up the pros and cons.
Will selling this trade secret hurt you in the long run? Or will you be able to make enough in the short run (by selling it) not to affect your long run?
Basically it`s like military technology, you wouldn`t sell it if there is a risk of it biting you in the butt later on.
If you do decide to release it, make sure you charge money for it.
You put in alot of your time (which isn`t free) to perfect your method. Plus, if it is that good, then people need to remember that they need to spend money to make money.

That is great news to discover that the previously released free video inspired you. I am sorry to hear that finances are a little challenging for you. I wish in due to that to change for you.
On that note, I feel where you are coming from in regards to finances. I have to earn money in order for to provide for my family and with the release of the previous video it had a paypal.com donate button on it. Consequently that video received over 2000 video views and only one paypal.com donation of $10 dollars.
While I appreciate the one donation, it isn’t an amount that properly compensates me for my time invested. With that said, the video is totally free and I set no expectations to receive money for it. However, it does confirm that people will take as much as they can for free if given the opportunity to do so. Believe me, I am the same way… I am doing a 30 day trial on $299 dollar software. When the trial ends, I might not purchase it.
Having that said, I am in a position to where I need to be compensated for my work. Not only is it very valuable to me, but it is an element that serves as an educational tool for others. College isn’t free, and nor should my video course that teaches my system of building niche blogs.
On that note, I truly appreciate you investing the time into expressing your thoughts in the comment. I thank you for that.

Unfortunately though, my subscribers are my market to sell the video to. Giving the video away for free is absolutely not an option. I will be charging money for this if I decide to release it. I already have the sale price which I will not reveal until I make the decision on releasing the video for download.

Get feed back more than likely the demand for the second part will be there. Then you can decide either to give it away for free or sell it. In my situation, I am not all that eager to give out my secrets free or for money. The purpose of initiating this discussion with my readers, such as yourself, is to test the waters and see what kind of reaction I would get.
One thing is for sure, whether I decide to sell this online video or not, not much will change for me with how I do business on the Internet. I am a guy who pretty much keeps to himself doing what works very well for me. I am far from being classified as an “Internet Marketer” or a person who actively creates and sells digital products.
My business has and most likely will always be based on my individual ability to create profitable systems designed to benefit my family and myself. However, along this journey I still struggle with dealing with the desire to help other people who place such an extreme importance on learning how to make money.
It is rewarding for me to see that I help people. With that said, there are certain things that I do that should be rewarded back in merit that allow my family to prosper from it. This is one of those situations.

The dilemma I am faced with is deciding whether or not I should reveal the video. If I do, you will pay me for downloading it.
As mentioned above, if I release the video to my own readers for free, then who is left to sell it to?
I can understand the desire to receive something for free. However, somethings in life just can’t be offered for free.
If I did offer this for free it would deface the value of what if found within.
As far as testimonials go, they would be great to have from people who have purchaed the video. But I am not going to donate a copy in order to receive a testimonial.

If the situation were different, coming to discover this might be upsetting. The thing that remains fact is that I am not aiming to share this with thousands of people.
The video satisfies and fulfills my desire to help people. But, make no mistake, I will get paid to do that. And this video isn’t something that is right for everyone. My heart will not be broken if you do not purchase it.

If I decide to go live with the video then it is up to the individual to decide on whether they should make the purchase based off the level of trust I have established with that individual.

I understand your dilemma completely. A very difficult place to be in for sure. And just like Joe said, as much as I’d like you to give it away for free, I believe you’d be better served if you were to sell it for a reasonable price.
Of course, “reasonable” is a relative term. What you might find reasonable, might be someone else’s decision to walk away. But with the proper promotion outlining all the benefits, you could not only build your list, but make a tidy profit in the process.
Yes, there is the risk of increasing your competition, but then again, you’ve already done that with your blog here, haven’t you? Maybe not to this level of detail (the video) and not in such a large chunk, but just like an IV drip, you’ve slowly been increasing everyone’s knowledge one post at a time. For those who don’t buy it, but are still willing to learn, they can continue to read your posts.

While it seems that the primary topic of disuccsion here in the comments is all about price or whether or not the video will be free, the true purpose of this post and collecting the feedback for readers, such as yourself, is to enable me to make a decision on whether I will release the video. The video for sure is NOT free and the price for purchasing the video has been established and will be made public if I decide to release it.

If I was in a position where money is no longer a concern, I would offer a video of my secrets. Or if by sharing my secrets with the public, I will not negatively affect my ability to make a living, I would be happy to have the opporturnity to share my secrets to change someone’s life for the better.
So if you think that by sharing your secrets, you will not negatively affect your life and will help others, please share your secrets.

I’ve thought for some time that you could do well with a paid membership site. Videos would be a good fit for that format. In addition, you could also feed in your other tips and tools. For example long ago I bought Micro Niche Builder through your affiliate link. You could offer the MNB tool and others for sale in your membership area as well as tips on how best to use them.
As long as the membership fee was reasonable and offers obvious value I believe a Garry Conn monthly fee MMO membership site would do well. I’m sure a good site would require a lot of work but even 100 paid members would provide a decent income. And 1,000 members should buy baby a lot of new shoes.

Hey Garry, you know that I’ve been reading your blog for a few months now and that we’ve spoken a few times about certain things. I don’t think you’ve shared anything with me that you haven’t already shared on your blog so have the option to know just as much as any of your readers.
This is the part where everybody will probably disagree with me though. I don’t think you should release the video. You provide plenty of tips on your blog, plenty of tutorials, plenty of advice that will make you money should you decide to put forth the effort. Therein lies the problem, most people don’t want to put in the effort. They are lazy, make excuses or try to blame anything but themselves if they fail at trying to make money online.
I have taken the advice that you provide on your blog, applied it to several blogs and guess what? I am making money from Google AdSense with them!! I am using the exact techniques that you have explained, using the same methods that you show to research keywords and everything else. The content you already have and continue to provide is something that works. People just need to get off of their lazy asses and get to work.
While I do believe that you have not told me everything that you do know, I know that what you have told me does in fact prove true. Don’t give out your secrets, they are the very thing that allows you to make money while allowing you to provide others with insights, tips, tricks and kick ass tutorials.
I don’t think people realize that you do in fact bust your ass every single day and that you are always working. Sure you have content writers writing for you but I am taking the time that it takes them to write something and adding it to your overall time.
I am not saying that your video would be a waste of $$ for people to buy as I am sure that it will provide some great insight into how you go about making money. But people need to remember that….
Working hard and smart = money
Providing quality content = money
Working hard and smart while providing quality content = A LOT of money

I would be interested in looking at the SEO on one of the existing ones.
I was recently propositioned on Twitter by a top US SEO company for a “blog seo overhaul special”. I went to their site and wrote 6 pages on the seo errors on their blogs.
They said “OOPS!”.
I assured them my $399/hour consult rate would not be invoked until the next time in a light-hearted response, and the rather ironic result is that they have booked me for 5 hours next week for two of their sister company blogs and one phpforum site.
I told them having them do my seo would be like hiring a painter with a shaky hand to repaint my ‘Vette :>)
You and I know there is real seo talent in the blog community. Many of us have developed our own seo by bloddy knuckles against much bigger players.
I’m sure your seo is great. It would go a long way to be able to show the seo in a specific way prior to the video.

I think that you should offer your video as part of a mentoring package. The last video was great and very helpful, (I would have donated but I used my last $7.50 in my paypal account to by a domain right after I watched it).
I think people would and should pay for direct access to you and your resources. Many of us have projects that could use your input on. I think that is where your videos will be the most effective.
A lot of people read your posts and do nothing, make no money for you.
A paid membership site would also be a good idea, as Gerald mentioned. Think about how much money garryconn.com makes for you compared to the time and effort you put into it.
You already give away enough information for free.

From what I’ve seen following your blog for a few months now, you already give quite a bit of free information, and I really feel like you are entitled to some type of compensation for this video. A lot of work goes into a 60 minute production and it seems like you’ve put a few years of your life into the knowledge behind the content in this video. I don’t really know enough about niche blogs and MMO yet to say really say with any measure of certainty if you’d cut into your own profits if you released it, but my initial guess is that I really don’t think so. Many people will not even after watching a video be able to duplicate your results because there is a lot more that goes into what you do than just information (talent, initiative, practice etc.) and it seems like with the depth and vastness of the internet for topics for niche blogs you won’t “run out” of material for yourself any time soon. And your video will most likely be containted to (at least it sounds like) your blog readership, so it won’t be a widespread issue.
I guess I would definitely release it, but charge for it. If someone really wants it, or the knowledge then they should be prepared to put forth a little investment, I just bought 5 of your articles last night and was glad to do it, especially at a dollar a pop! People think nothing of charging $30 for a B.S ebook all the time, and from following your blog I think you would have a quality product, worth spending money on. I’ll buy it!

The problem with sites like this is, that when the real deal comes around, a person tends to believe that they are crying wolf. So, the real deal is likely to get passed by.
While, I am always looking for better ethical ways to improve my sites, I would have to have a guarantee to consider purchasing anything in the near future.
First off I really appreciate the last video you put out, it was great.
The timing on that video was great for me as well, as shortly before that I decided that I wanted to focus on making money online in this area (google adsense and niche blogs) Before I was all over the IM market and was taking a little bit of this and a little bit of that and not really getting anywhere. Your blog and that one video have helped me focus on one area that I feel that I can be successful in. In short I have taken action and have starting making a little bit of money online.
I would absolutely love to see this video as I think it it would speed my learning curve and allow me get things done more efficiently and affectively. I know that I have a lot to learn and whatever you decide I totally respect that. I understand where you are coming from and honestly I don’t know what I would do if it was me… that is why you are the man though because you are the one that has to make the call. Good luck

The offer I mentioned was from Joel Comm. Don’t worry, I’m not paying 2k for anything. I already get the bad vibes from this cat, even though he may be completely legit. But man does he have the “offers” flowing. The sad part is…I really want to believe him, but his marketing strategies turn me off completely.
You know what I would love to see? I would love to see a site on building blogs for profit that is set up exactly like the niche blogs you are promoting. Simple, objective descriptions and lessons with adsense spaces and affiliate links. No selling articles, no software reviews, no comment boxes or debatable issues, just a pure, clean site set up exactly as it should be (or could be) for any other niche blog a person wanted to build. For content you would have a step by step guide with pictures, video or whatever to show exactly how it was made, keyword research and the whole bit. THEN you would have the entire story from beginning to end showing what it should look like, how to build it, affiliate links and adsense placement with completely objective content and the same strategy you promote for building niche blogs for yourself. Build it, fill it with content and let it ride.
Before anyone starts throwing staplers at me, I fully appreciate that the MMO niche is flooded and lucrative and this would be throwing money out the window, but honestly…if you really want to promote your methodology, what better way to do it? Include a page that shows the software and themes you used and related affiliate links. No selling, just info. It seems to me that in an “industry” that pushes so hard to excite emotional responses toward purchasing something, a pragmatic approach might just be the one that stands out.
Of course, I may be completely wrong, but that’s just my opinion.
Garry – here’s a suggestion I haven’t heard. Provide a link to the video those that provide at least, hmmm, say, 5 answers on blogging questions. Of course, that would be a pain for you to track, but it’s an idea.

Garry, I have never been disappointed with your stuff. I have also purchased stuff before.
I recently received emails for things that were Thousands of dollars. I didn’t do them. I thought, it was so good, Garry would have told us about it. lol
So maybe, sell the video at a reasonable price, but maybe discount it for folks that have helped support you.
As you can see, many are willing. But you have to decide if the competition is worth it. On the other hand, those that are successful can be great testimonials for future products.
To be completely honest I don’t think you should release it Garry.
You have been most helpful to me with your time in the emails that have passed between us and your patience in listening to my crazy ideas has been appreciated more than you think.
Of course I would love to learn how you do your projects from start to finish but deep down I think that you are providing too much info for people without getting any financial reward from it.
If you do decide to release it I think you should do it selectively.
You say you have $x price fixed. Why not raise your $xx figure and only sell to those that you can selectively verify?
This may not be workable but you should be very careful before releasing your ‘expose all’ video.
If your video is as good as you say it is I would be prepared to pay a little extra for it.
Like the carpenter who measures twice and cuts once. Think long and hard before you do release. Once released there’s no going back. If you’re not 100% happy about it then shelve it and don’t release!

Gary, I have been studying affiliate marketing and blogging since I read about John Chow in a Vancouver newspaper last April.
I came across Jeremy Palmer of Quit Your Day Job, and he started a project called BlackInk which he gave away for FREE. It ran from May until August 2008, and contained one live 1 hour video presentation every week, answered questions, and included tons of free information on all aspects of the subject. The PowerPoint presentations were put on a website for free download, and he had some one develop a software program called Optimize Your Website free to download.
I wondered why he was giving all this stuff for free, he said he wanted to help people out, and pay it forward. There were around 2,000 subscribers to the first BlackInk Project.
In September, he launched BlackInk2 which went to another level of mentoring people, and charged people $97.00 per month. I believe he managed to fill all the available spaces. I’m not sure how many people he can mentor at the same time. If it was 100 people, do the math not a bad income. I’ll bet my pension he has a waiting list.
Yaro Starek has given some free stuff away, and done the same thing. He started a mentoring program and charged $27.00 per month, filled all the spots, and for the next group raised the price to $47.00 per month, again if it is only 100 people per month, not a bad income.
My humble suggestion is to do the same thing. Give the video away for FREE in order to build your contact list, then start a mentoring program that charges a monthly fee, for how many months you feel it would take to teach a person how to be successful at this.
There are more than 2,000 people out there wanting to make money on the internet for real, and I think at least 10% have the funds and are willing to pay a monthly fee to be mentored, and guided through the process. With current economic conditions worldwide, the numbers of people looking for extra income will increase dramatically.
My gut tells me that Jeremy and Yaro have tapped into an excellent niche which will provide them with huge monetary payback in the years to come, plus they are helping people at the same time.
I haven’t read all the comments in this post, but will try over the next few days, hope I am not duplicating somebody else’s comments.

Wake up guys! Garry is running a business not a charity!
I have quite happily paid for Garry’s services in the past and I know his work and knowledge is quality. We all like to get something for nothing but the reality is that if you want to make money you have to invest MONEY, time and effort.
Its obviously your call mate but if it was me, I would release it and put whatever price you want on it. Those that want to make money will purchase it and apply it and will make money. Those loyal subscribers know that you are always there to help and assist and I’m sure you will be there for this product as well.
I know you are worried about releasing some of your secrets but I know you will release the video because that is the way you operate. You are honest (which is rare in this niche) and you genuinely want people to succeed, so I am not surprised at what your doing.

Guys like Murray, me and all those you have helped will have no problem paying for access to your tutorial video.
You have to weigh up the financial rewards with disclosing your secrets.
Is it worth it in the long run?
Will your video gross enough cash to justify exposing your marketing/business secrets?
I think you are very generous with your time and info Garry and see a small percentage return for it. You have often said that this blog doesn’t make money from you but takes a lot of your time. Blogging Questions takes a lot of your time too ….. freely giving.
If the video doesn’t make you big bucks I wouldn’t release it. Do a deal with those who come to you for paid business help. They get help, you help sort them out and get them started on their niche blog business and then throw in the video at the end of the process for a nominal fee.
As you know I’ve told you my reasons for developing sites and what I’m hoping to do …. you’ve generously offered to help me out. I’m sure there are many more people like me out there …. charge us a fee for services based on what we’re trying to achieve, agree a schedule etc. and as a final carrot give or include your video as part of the deal.
You can gain more that way Garry …. don’t do a general release of teh video …. even when charging for it!

Hi Garry, new here, but let me see if I can come up with 2 cents to add. 1st it’s amazing how many times you had to say it won’t be free before people realized it won’t be free.
Option 1: Sell the video straight up for good money. Advantage: no further obligation; quick hit. Disadvantage: Leave money on the table.
Option 2: Sell the video for a nominal fee and upsell to a coaching or monthly program. Advantage: Future stream of income instead of one time hit. Disadvantage: Investment of time in developing a coaching series or in hand holding coaching students.
Also consider putting your list to work for you. Set up some sort of affiliate opportunity so all your wanna be clones can pitch your video on their sites. People here seem to have a very high opinion of your stuff, so they should be able to pitch it.
Option 3: Sit on it. Advantage: You keep your secrets a secret. Disadvantage: Lose out on chance to monetize the knowledge you’ve developed. You seem to have a hungry crowd. If I were you I’d be feeding them.

I am on disability because of cancer and am looking to break into the blogging business as another form of writing as a career. I understand the tension you feel in making the decision
to sell this video because you will be passing on some
details on how you make money.
I find that many money making products online come with
bunch of holes, and don’t show people step by step fashion
how to make money even though the sales pages promise they
will.
That being said, from what I’ve learned about you so far,
you actually want to help people make money online.
In your email you said, “If I release this video, it will
change the lives of many people and it will change yours”.
I think you gave yourself the answer.
I think a true
step by step tutorial on how to make money is what people
NEED. You can be that person that can take someone that has
spun there wheels for awhile, and give them a clear path
on making money online.
I think the reward of changing people lives is something
that many overlook.
So, yes… sell it to your subscribers that are eager to
put together what you teach. People would be able to piece
things together better with a detailed tutorial that is
all in one place.
