Oh boy do I have a story for the people reading these comments. This post actually stems very very deep! I feel very entertained with the hate mail that I am now receiving in by the dropped advertiser and I also do feel somewhat sympathetic for his situation.

The advertiser that I dropped my my private ad sales pool is a person who paid $1200 dollars for the program offered by Jeffrey Lant. I just really love how things all fall into place.

On Feb. 8th 2008, I received an email from a sender named, Shon Thompson. It was a sales solicitation email. It was late at night upon receiving the email, so Shon caught me in a rare and playful mood. Simply put, I was bored and decided to play games with him a little bit.

What else can you do with emails like that? Delete them? You might as well have some fun with them right? Anyway here is a copy of the very first email from Shon Thompson (who I now just discovered is the brother of the dropped advertiser).

Keep in mind this, the reason I am so freaking entertained by this whole story as it unfolds is because back on Feb 8th, I was going to use these emails as material for my blog. I never did as I simply lost interest in it. But now, as things are starting to unfold, it makes for a hell of a story that I just can’t pass up! The copies of these emails are actual screen shots:

Now, these emails were made all on Feb 8th, 2008. Since then I have long forgot all about this whole situation until the dropped advertiser in an email today reminded me about this situation.

Now having all that said, here are my thoughts.

You made one of the biggest mistakes you could have made on the Internet by purchasing the $1200 dollar program offered by scam artist, Jeffrey Lant. During the webcast that I watched this afternoon, I noticed that you were in there with me. I saw your screen name and recognized your name as my, or what they called, “My Sponsor”.

I have seen many online scams, but I have to admit that the Jeffrey Lant scam of 2008 is one of the most well put together and organized Internet crimes of the century.

You were promised that Jeffrey Lant and his super large group of moderators and trained experts would do all the work for you. You didn’t have to do nothing. They would do everything for you and because they are so kind and love and care about you so much, they won’t even charge you money when they work a deal for you.

If all that is true, then why have you been paying money to advertise on my blog? You admit that you paid the $1200 dollars for this program that gives you a web site and many tools to promote it.

REALLY!!!! How well has that been working for you? Last I checked I can get a domain name for $5 bucks and get hooked up on web hosting for as little as $2 bucks per month! In fact, there is now cPanel hosting options that offer professional grade web hosting for FREE!!! (Special Thanks To TRUSTED Christine Senter for digging that info up a few weeks ago.

Secondly, you mentioned that in part of the $1200 dollar package you have free promotional tools available to help promote and market your website.

REALLY!!!!! How well is that working out for you? Must not be too good since you’re investing more of your own money into private ad sales on popular A-List blogs. If you have such amazing promotional tools that you can use to promote your scam business, then why would you even waste your time and money advertising on my blog?

You got scammed and now you’re working hard towards trying to regain the money lost and in doing so you’re spreading the virus and causing more innocent people to waste their hard earned money. You should call your loss and do the right thing and stop promoting such Internet garbage to other people.

Well that wasn’t what was told to me when I logged into the webcast. I was quickly welcomed into the system and told that if I stuck around to listen to the live broadcast that after the show, I would be given my bonus of having 50,000 visits sent to my web site of choice.

I’ll be honest with you, the shit is going to hit the fan on this story. I have already received threating phone calls (all of which have been recorded.. thank God for GrandCentral) if the calls continue coming in, I very well may post them live on my blog and include all the personal information from the people calling me.

If these threating calls keep coming in, lets see how they like to have satellite images of their houses posted on my blog via Google Earth and these MP3’s recorded in GrandCentral turned into their local authorities.

I also Stumbled this post as it is one of the most intriguing I’ve seen on a Make Money Blog in a long while.
I don’t understand why someone would call and threaten you though. I mean, just move on and find other ways to promote the scam if you are that caught up in it.
I for one vote that you post the MP3s for all the hear!!!!!

I’ll tell you this, though, Garry, you should be pissed that you didn’t get the 50,000 visits they promised! LOL

This is one heck of a story Garry. I know there are a lot of these type of “programs” on the net, but it is everyone’s own way of making money. I do agree with you that this is a worthless $1,200 business program, but I do give him props for coming up with something like this.

Garry, I’ll pass this blog post along to members of my entrepreneur forum as a potential scam warning. I’ll also drop a few blog posts on my moneymaker and affiliate tips blogs, so expect at least three new trackbacks to this article in the next few hours.

Right now, the biggest scam of 2008 has to be Ty Coughlin’s “Reverse Funnel System”. Think of what a funnel looks like reversed – a pyramid. That’s all Ty Coughlin and this Jeffrey Lant are running, cleverly designed pyramid or ponzi schemes.

I’m giving you big props for speaking the truth. As a fellow blogger and promoter, we both now that any hint of negativity can cost us readers but as you have shown, it is more honourable to tell the truth, even when it hurts.

The man is an ugly player in this game. He is scamming people out of $1200 bucks daily… actually multiple times daily. He runs his webcast about 3 times per day. When I was on the webcast there were 60 others listening in. At the end of the webcast he had 5 people purchase before I puked and left the room.

No need for the double hyperlink in the comments. For one they are nofollow so it doesn’t matter anyway and secondly, people can get to the same place by clicking your name. As far as posting this on your blog, I guess you literally meant that.

Instead of copying, pasting and stealing what I have written here, perhaps you should put things into your own words. I think that is absolutely disrespectful and lazy of you to just outright copy my article word for word and paste it into you blog.

Last thing, people aren’t stupid. Some people are indeed ignorant, but not stupid. Some people want to make money online so bad that they get blinded and are easily vulnerable. People like Jeffrey Lant simply capitalize on that and I don’t think that is right.

Not many people actually want to show you how to make money online, yet they advertise that they do. Their motive is to target your wants and create bogus products that sound appealing and come across as something that can satisfy your hunger.

The same thing happens everywhere in the world, one of the most common places is at the car sales lot.

Excellent article.

I was a dealer myself in World Profit in mid 2007 and this was one of most worse online experiences for me as a result and have lost $1,500 along with the insult added to the injury.

Not only the silver package price itself is a rip-off, but the things inside the package also contain more rip-offs.

Jeffrey Lant is not a valid marketer, so if he thinks he is so good at marketing, why doesn’t he phone the prospects himself to invite them to the webcast rather getting dealers to struggle and get charged for calling? This self-centered guy just cowers in his shabby-looking office wearing T-shirts and long shorts that seems pretty unwashed and all that’s on his mind are dirty incomes and not any consideration for those caught up in the scheme trying to learn how to profit while the longer they stay there, the greater the loss in money.

The company’s prospect system have some email addresses of contacts who actually never did opt in with the company or in other words, not verified. Before I left realising I’ve been had, it was common that free associates in the Live Business center were demanding the company in anger to stop spamming their email boxes. World Profit harvests email addresses, spams and there are no safe lists.

Half the LBC monitors are childish in different ways. One was drunk and wasn’t aware that her microphone was turned off so no one can hear her voice, one was sleeping and another just left their desk leaving their webcam turned on and remained absent for over an hour without warning.

When it comes to positive testimonials, it doesn’t prove anything. Many scams loves to display testimonials to hook in victims.

I’m working on strategies making any cut-downs on this non-legit company’s undeserved income, warning those to never join as well as pulling up my website exposing Jeff Lant’s tyranny along with Jim Carpenter and any other cons damaging the victims.

I will give you all kind of juicy details about World Profit, and the Troll behind it. I just want to remain as anonymous as possible. It is to the point now where Dr. Lant the troll. Has a Cult mentality. He will take care of those that follow his brain washing. He does not like those that do not follow or can’t be brainwashed. Remind you of any one? (Charles Manson) What is worse, is that those that are brain washed are encouraging him, and he is getting worse every day. He calls people losers because they don’t have 99.95 to join his money pulling scam and uses the economy being bad as an excuse to make false promises of people making money online. Monitors 24 hours a day when there are huge gaps in the schedule some nights up to 6 hours without anyone. Once you are in for more than one month you are then contractually obligated to continue or have a cancellation fee if account is canceled. More to follow I am glad I found your site!!! Know any good internet lawyers that would allow those of us that were duped to get representation for false advertising? Lets bring this guy down hard!!!!!

I attended a webcast today after I got a really nice invite by Dr. Lant and another one of his members last night.

Just like your experience.. all was well and smooth riding untill he and Jim started the whole Silver Package push. There was a lot of people who jumped on the bandwagon.. but me and 2 others didn’t react as fast. I told them that I mentioned (last night) that I was unable to purchase anything until I got paid on Friday. (today is monday)

He went on saying that I was Procrastinating and telling his existing members to chat with me. Just like a master sending this dogs after me.

I replied to him that I was not Procrastinating.. I didn’t have the $99.95/monthy and that I was already planning to join by the end of the week.

Then.. he made a comment with Jim.. laughed.. and Jim goes on saying “Rinda wants us to jump through hoops for her”

I was like.. WHAT??? He doesn’t KNOW me. I’m not asking for anything.

So.. I replied.. “I’m not asking for anything. I understand the premium (extra offers) for the day will expire and I will miss out on that. Fine.. thats my loss. But.. Until I get a hold of $99.95… I am not making a purchase today.”

NOW… while I was typing that.. they were kind of hard on another guest.

This one person could not make a purchase until he had the funds. He was disabled and collecting social security. I heard Lant say something in a sense that He didn’t care about other people’s financial situation or burdens. He’s not a charity. Then he and Jim went on being sarcastic and was all out RUDE… they didn’t want to hear WHY that person couldn’t purchase on the spot.

I was just disgusted…

“Great Supportive Community with respectful and nice personalities” Is what he stresses!

What in the world just happened?????

Also.. whenever someone who didn’t purchase a package logged out.

Jeffery and Jim would make a rude remark about that person. So, I wouldn’t be surprised that they said something about me when I left.

Oh…

Lant got all “bent” and “huffy” when I addressed him as “Jeff” He said “Rinda.. My name is not Jeff.. its Jeffery.. not only can’t she afford the purchase a package.. she can’t spell.” Jim laughed along with him.

Someone needs to bring him down to earth. Just because he has a Ph.D in Harvard, doesn’t mean he has to be an A$$. One day.. someone will record their experience showing the live chat and his live rude remarks and blow it up all over youtube.

There is always a first.. unless someone has done it already???

Oh my….thank god I found this thread. I just got kicked off their site! hahaha…..this is what just happened. So I got an email yesterday and this morning to go to their site and checkout a webcast. So, I did and was greeted by a monitor named Sharon. She seemed nice enough and told me to watch a video. So I did…once finished, I returned back but had lost connection so refreshed my page. Guess who was waiting…Jim Carpenter…and boy…he is a rude, bitter, grumpy old man. Heaven forbid if you ask questions. I simply asked him what the numbers meant on the side of the web page packages because I didn’t know if they were product numbers or ranking numbers. His response was, “They are catalog numbers, but that doesn’t matter now does it. Are you ready to purchase the silver package or not!!! I see you have been to the site 10 times!” He had a pretty rude tone, but I replied that I hadn’t been to the site 10 times and that it was due to the fact that I had to refresh my page so many times. He rudely laughed at me and stated, “Noel, that doesn’t matter, I don’t care about that, are you ready to purchase or not!!!” At that point, I left the page and did a search on google for worldprofit.com and found this blog. Wow…you were dead on.

After reading this blog, I went back and started asking questions. I asked about the 50,000 guaranteed visitors. They stated that yes we get them…but as soon as I asked, “buy only AFTER we purchase something right?” they became nasty. I even tried posting this blogs link….

Right after that, Jim Carpenter said, “you know what Noel Bishop……” and then I didn’t get to hear what he said because the page went totally blank and the only thing left was a little bit of writing at the upper left of the page stating, “Your account can not be approved at this time.”

Baaaaah-haaaaaaaa………LMAO!

So….Garry….thank you thank you thank you. Boy, I want to take these guys down.

Well it is a sale, like anything else. Being a listbuilder that utilizes Dr. Lants Worldprofit system I honestly can’t name any form of lead capture, or print that captures / converts prospects like Worldprofit.

I fail to see where people think it is a “scam” as Worldprofit converted very well on my list, they pay promptly via paypal and having live people on your website as a “Greeter” is a huge benefit to any entrepreneur focused web page.

I’ll agree, the sales tactics are kind of bulldogish, but you need to understand these people work for the COMMUNITY. Better to have these people on your team than on your tail. So really what I am doing is giving a perspective from the other side.

These people are working FOR you when you are a member of Worldprofit, and the conversions are fantastic, and there is a LIVE person on your site 24/7.

I know some of you got kicked out of the room, and talked down to by Dr. Lant and some of the monitors, but realistically you were not there to BUY anything, which is really a waste of time and resources in the system. So I can’t say i feel bad for you.

Worldprofit like anything else can produce a lot of money if you are experienced at marketing online. Like all online business, it does have its weaknesses…but $99/mo is NOT life ending. I spend several times that amount monthly on advertising my products and services. Even the 1200 dollars for yearly membership less than the cost of most training seminars I attend.

Honestly, if you $99 is life ending for you, and you have to squeeze to find that…why are you in ANY type of business?

Same as anyone I get loads of emails offering me the world on a plate. Dr. Lant is just one. But out of curiosity I checked his site out. Saw the grumpy old man sitting there looking totally cheesed off and answering questions in single grunts.

Thought I’d do a google check on Dr. Lant. The first one I checked on was from a high school buddy of his – evidentally Dr. Lant used to be called Laddy Lant!! Never married, lives on his own and is devoted to his art collection and his internet businesses.

The next google item I checked was this one. I didn’t know whether to laugh because of this guy or cry because of the poor man that was being hood-winked into buying it whilst I was watching.

Have you actually heard from Dr. Lant’s team yet? I shouldn’t think so somehow.

You have all greatly exaggerated the facts here. The full program costs $1200, but can be bought on a monthly basis for $99.75 per month. You are not required to sell any of Dr. Lant’s and Company’s products.

His company provides a Complete website, web hosting, complete newsletters, classified ad system, your own banner exchange, your own classified ad system, complete prospect management system, and a complete training system as good as any that I have seen anywhere.

The company hides nothing from anyone, but like any good sales team, they don’t give you everything for nothing. As an entrepreneur, I know this is not a scam. Like any good sales effort, you will be contacted and followed up with. It is your choice.

If this is a scam than you that call this a scam probably call everything a scam.

Once you go to http://www.instantresaletemplates.com and decide it’s not for you so you click the close button on your browser, you get the javascript message asking if you really want to leave…that then pops up another window telling you are missing out if you decide to leave…
That so called live chat window with the lovely Jenny is nothing but a hard sales automated script…
try typing scam into the text box a few times & get the exact same reply every time…type bullshit & she can’t handle it…

I just came from the World Profits site and was first harangued about not using my full first name…they tried to brow beat me into giving it…and then Lant came on and started the hard sell bullying he likes to do…was trying to infer that I just didn’t get it…must not have $ etc. I’m not even going to bother going to the web cast and no way I’m signing up for WP…

Just found this site and kicked back and watched Josh Grobin on GMA…the perfect salve to Lant’s rude troll bully…now Grobin is someone with true talent and I don’t mind paying $ for something of real value.

Gary, I completely believe you! Jeffrey Lant (Or, DR. as he calls himself, of what has never been made clear) is a complete SCAM. This guy was involved with the iMALL scam with Brad Richdale “Making Money Now” infomercial con that tries to sell you $39.95 worth of materials and telemarket and harrass you into buying thousands of dollars on the back-end, back in the early to mid-90’s. It’s all trickery and lies, Jeffrey Lant does not know anything about marketing on the Internet (Otherwise he would have founded eBay or Google), instead of preying on the uninformed. Scumbag.

I went through the same ordeal with Lant. After watching the “show”, he and Mike started putting on the pressure. Anyone who decides NOT to jump onboard.. they would cut them down.

One person could not join due to financial hardship.. Mike and Jeff would cut him down for being poor and look for a hand out. huh????? That poor person wasn’t asking for a darn thing! That person just wanted to see what the program was about. geeeez!

BTW.. I found out that he gets all “huffy” if you call him JEFF… and he’ll call you an idiot for not spelling his name right… oh my.. its JEFFERY! Goodness.. take a chill pill and come back down to earth.

I wish I had done some research on Wrold Profit before I joined. I was approached by someone on a Social Network site and told that I would get 50,000 free hits to the website of my choice if I attended a live webcast. Dr Lant wasn’t there that day he had lost his voice, probably from all of the ranting at prostpects he does! Anyhow I was sucked in a bought their Silver Package.

I quickly realised that it isn’t all they make it out to be. The supposed ’streams of income’ are little more than traffic exchanges and safelists. The fantastic training they offer is non existent.

I then attended some of the live webcasts that Dr Lant took. He was rude and aggressive to those who attended. I watched people ridiculed and harrassed into buying. I felt very uncomfortable about it. I did wonder at first if I was being over sensitive and if it was a cultural thing ( I am English) it sound silly now. I guess I was trying to rationalise my feelings.

The problem was I had spent $99.95 on this package, money I couldn’t afford to lose. So I set about selling. I sold 3 Silver packages in 3 weeks. I felt bad about sending people to the live marketing center as I knew the type of pressure they would be put under. My dealers were also unimpressed with what they had bought. By the end of the month my conscience prevailed and I left, probably losing all of the commission I earned.

So if you are thinking of joining World Profit my advice would be don’t do it! Dr Lant is only interested in taking peoples money. He treats people who attend his live webcast with contempt (unless you buy), and teaches other members to do the same. And as for the Silver Package… You would feel ripped off if you spent $9.95 on it let alon $99.95!

Way to go in calling out Jeffery Lant.

I can’t believe that the Worldprofit organization is still in business. I believe that it was 1998 or 1999 that I came across Dr Scamscum Bag Jeffery Lant. I was fresh to the Internet then and looked at his Worldprofit package before deciding that any deal that promises to do everything for you, all you need is entrance money, must be a scam.

Unfortunately, your story shows how little protection people have in getting involved with an Internet business. It also shows how desperate a lot of good people are in their need to make at least a little extra money. Desperation can quickly lead to poor judgement.

For sure, the period of time that Worldprofit has been running shows that you can’t depend on law enforcement agencies to protect you from white collar crime.

People who want to make money on the Internet really need to slow down a bit before leaping into a business venture. 95% of the time if they engage in impulse buying, if not victimized by an outright scam, they will still be disappointed with the performance of the package.

Then there are those who think that they can make money on the Internet without doing any work. Jeffery Lant and his kind have made a long term crooked career out of the pocketbooks of those dreamers.

Garry, if you receive any really threatening phone calls or cyber attacks against your website you might consider turning the evidence over to the FBI’s cyberspace unit. While they are probably plenty busy trying to track down cyber attacks against government websites if the phone calls are more then just abusive, really threatening physical harm, just maybe the FBI would follow up.

These guys have a long running business to protect, even if it is a scam, so I don’t doubt for a moment that for awhile your inbox is going to be full with hate mail. Should be interesting!

As a full time internet marketer, I’m always on the look-out for new businesses and opportunities that would benefit me and my team members, because there are a variety of incomes among them, and I look to find price points and products that match as many as possible. But the one thing I know for certain, is that most people who come into network/internet marketing out of desperation or inspiration, lack the necessary sales and marketing skills and experience that would ensure their success over time, were they to be aligned with a good company. As there are many good companies and outstanding products in the network marketing industry, my heart breaks every time I hear of another causality due to lack of due diligence, not to mention simple common sense.

Just told me, if he is able to get 50,000 visitors in a go, why his site ranked after one million in alexa ranks, i have a site with 50 visitors per day and it has more alexa ranking than his site. This guy is really a bullshit with a crappy site. Here in india, these scamsters buy a domain name which initiates with google and advertise the same on google adwords, and making people fool. Please reasearch about them and write an article about those scamsters.

Just writing this comment because I tried out the worldprofit for a month trial and yes it sure was a scam my domain name was thelivetalkingwebsite.com, the 20+ income streams are all traffic exchanges as soon as I got to level 3 in the bootcamp it wanted me to join all the traffic exchanges calling them 20+ income traffic streams what a load of crap! 50 000 free visitors when you join up is what they promised, they didnt tell me i had to waste so much of my time earning credits for it first, also I would like to take this chance to say jeffrey lant is a bull shitting king of hype, he is so dishonest i think he should be blacklisted or banned from the internet i cant believe he can rip people of live on webcam he sure must have a weak conscience, if i see him in the street he better run his little runty ass off, not happy at all anyways just wondering if you read this im only new to learning how to market online and if you could take a look at this web site and let me know what you think of it.

I hope you’ll let me share my World Profit experience. I was in World Profit for two months. I earned $19.00 in commissions. World Profit won’t pay you until you have $25.00 in commissions, (not even with Pay Pal), so I had to wait for a month to get paid, or so I thought. When I finally quit, I was told that “World Profit does not pay commissions if a person “CANCELS” their service”! (This includes commissions for the current month or the month prior) They DON’T have to pay you if you quit! WOW! So the only way to get paid with World Profit, is to keep paying their monthly fee! Jeffry Lant really does have an impressive background. He made a name for himself in card deck mailings for B2B products. He was once well spoken of by Dan Kennedy.

He wrote an excellent book called Cash Copy that has been recommended by Brian Keith Voiles.

He wrote a lot of other books that are now outdated. The pages of the books do fall out with some use. I guess maybe that was a portents.

About 5 years ago I ordered Cash Copy from him. I got an email from a guy trying to sign me up in some program I had no interest in. I told him I was a direct response copywriter and did not need coaching. The next day I got an email from Jeffry trying to get me to buy a distributorship. I declined.

About a year later I ordered another book. I got another email from someone trying to get rich by showing others how to get rich. I replied that I was not interested and he sent back a rant. Among other things he accused me of having “an imbedded attitude”.

About 6 months later I ordered another book and made a note not to follow up and they did not.

I still want the book on fund raising but I guess I will get it on Amazon used. It is sad that a once good marketer has sunk to such low depths.

Well I received an ad from those safelist or an email inviting me to Worldprofits and I find it interesting and they told me to watch video and then comes back. I was worried about these people sitting with video cam and microphone. I asked one of the dealer the questions like “Can I be able to operate this business without video and webcam and don’t use pc very much and only use mac” The response was yes you can if you want to. And I asked other questions like how much is the price and then Dr Lant appeared and he said Hello, blah blah whatever he’s said.. I told him I’m hearing impaired and asked him if it possible to operate this business without using Videocam and microphone and his answer was yeah if you want to. I told him I work my real job in part time every day and I told him I can’t always able to be online to help them and not much income and did told them I can’t afford that $99.00 package. And somehow his attitude had changed and was forcing me to buy it and some features to make money out of it and he was getting very unhelpful and then ina sudden he was getting arrogant to me the way he treating me. I can’t remember that time I did talked to him but it was months ago. The way his attitude changed and arrogant (rude) and that annoyed me and in the end I said “No thank you and I’m not interested” and left the chatroom is disgust. I did received another ad in today email with the domain that I recognised and open that up to investigate but it the same Dr Lant appearing in the videocam and wasn’t entirely interested and close the browser. My idea in my head tell me something so I then went to typed up “Jeffery Lant” in google and presto with the word “Scam” and thank you for giving me the details about him. I did not believe him as I’m a good observer that I can see his office is very very messy and his clothes not in nice looking clothes and his hair was a bit untidy is not how you do professional business really. This need to pass around more to warn those joining that didn’t know about like newbies as well. I’m going to try post in Safelist is where I got the ad from. Thanks a lot.

they are free to join you dont have to be a world profit dealer to join those ,and for the 50,000 vistors free are you do is again join free web sites that dony cost you a penny to join anyways and 100 bucks to host your website a month give me a break !!! and if you quit as a dealer you dont Receive Commission comming to you they keep it ,so they keep your money ,so you have to wait untill you get your commission before you quit to get paid the money you have comming to you

Alrighty, I’ve captured the audio and video from two different sources. I’m combining them now and will upload to Viddler soon. One of the captures became corrupt and I lost it. All it was is the initial “come watch this” song and dance where I had some back and forth with him.

What I find intriguing is the level of sophistication they have with their traffic monitoring. As I navigated around, they knew what page I was looking at, and they commented on it. They know who they need to put pressure on and continue selling to. They’ve got it down.

Sickening.

I was also struck by the thought of how when we all came back to the lobby after the sales pitch from some other yahoo, that immediately one person had signed up. Immediately! It felt to me like the person was a fake, set up to help encourage the others to buy. Of course I’m already biased too…

We’ll see how this video turns out. I think at best it will at least give some the idea of what to look out for.

You know, I’m glad you wrote this post Garry. I think it’s important for people, (particularly those just starting out in the MMO game) to understand certain “opportunities” presented to them. When it comes to marketers who, whether intentionally or not, will charge for invaluable or even unethical information/services- it’s good to be familiar with these possibilities to avoid misfortune.

As I’ve said before- everything you need to know to make money online is available on the web for FREE. Should you have the money to spend, definitely take advantage of a guru product and you can speed up your learning curve- BUT, choose your products/services wisely and you can minimize the amount and time you spend on these.

You are so right. World Profit and Dr. Lant, are scam artist to the third degree!
I know. I got suckerd into his program for a month and was sick to my stomach the whole time.
He has a 99 dollar a month plan now to make easy for people to sign up instead of the 1200 dollar contract you used to have to sign.
As far as those 20+streams of income, nothing but traffic exchanges and safelist.
You have to log into your back office to activate the 50,000 visiters to your site. When you do, a counter starts to count down. Not one hit.
lant really showed his true colors to me one day while I was sitting in and watching when he closed a sale.
After it was over he said, “we got another one”.
Rude and crude! That did it for me. I could bare to see my credit card hit for another 99 dollars to those vulchers.
I canceled before the end of the first 30 days so they did not give me a hard time. No refund though.
What little training they do offer centers around trying to get other people in to sell to. That in and of itself is not bad. It’s their tactics that suck. Preying on newbies with misleading, hard selling, try to impress with my high tech, live monitor video setup. A bunch of Bullsh#*T.
I just cringe when I come across one of those sites now. I Really feel sorry for some of the people that feel trapped in there. Have you ever seen or heard of people who can’t hang up on a telemarketer? They pay just to get it over with.

In a surprising somewhat scary appearance Mr Lant was in his live Webcast center tonight looking like someone beat him and very disheveled, did anyone beat up this poor guy?..lol. Usually he is in during the afternoon around 3 pm eastern US time selling his bs I visit often to get a laugh and noticed the monitors have traffic,people,tvs,music going on in the background and one poor old guy is so cam shy and talks so low you cannot tell what is going on! I’ve been in sales for 30 plus years and he is certianly what we calle (us Pros. that is) a slammer.
Unfortunately some unaware people out there can be intimidated into thinking that there losing out on there entire life if they don’t play by somebody elses rules. Sadder is that Those that Do (at any point in there carrer) chose to do business on line are not generaly the followers of our society. That being said, I would think it easy to assume that those who join his program just pay for it and then lay down. His defense wit the BBB is that he gave them all that was promised. I guess that defining what is and what is not a good lead is an issue of relativity as well. Keep the push on Gary. We who are learning how to be involved need the warning signs that help us from spending our fortunes before we make them. Thanks

Thank you for saving me the $99 start up Silver package fee. I never did get back to the live salesperson, as I googled Jeffrey Lant while watching the recorded video. As a person that has yet to make any money online, after years of trying, I was ready to buy. I’m not stupid or gullible; I just don’t know enough to develop a system that works. Or to find an honest one that doesn’t take my money and run.

So again, thanks for saving this out of work grandma this money!

See my comments on Worldprofit – very hard sell and extreme pressure selling, it’s not fair and attracts vulnerable people. They ban people who say anything against the organisation on the chat room so not to upset other potential buyers.

Since you envy Dr. Lant sooo much, then why are you trying to immitate him… He has a legitimate business, he’s making money, his members are making money… You need to grow up and face the facts that one day World profit will dominate the online business industry. I am a proud worldprofit member.. Be smart do your homework about WP , and STOP misleading people with false information!!! If Worldprofit was not credible, they would not be on the net, they would not be a member of the BBB, they are viewed by the whole world……. What kind of credibility do you have?

I understand exactly what Garry Conn is doing, and to be honest, he’s more helpful than Jeffrey Lant will ever be.

Pyramid schemes, got to love them for their brilliant way that people on top make all the money, while the people on the bottom need to build people under them before they make money.

What happens when the top is chopped off? All the people below lose. Why? Because there isn’t any real product. It’s all just smoke and mirrors.

I have problems with Jeffrey’s pressure sales James. If an old lady who lives check to check can’t afford $99, she cant’ afford $99, simple as that. Yet Jeffrey is more than happy to ridicule, embarrass, and pressure an old lady into giving up that $99 to make a sale. Why? It points directly to his mentality and sensibilities. Doesn’t say much for him in my opinion.

I’ve watched him do it several times while watching under a different name, and it’s pathetic, and quite sad.

Here’s one from Jeffrey’s play book for ya. If Garry was Jeffrey, your dissent would not be seen here. Just like Jeffrey does, he’d boot you because of a differing view, or even a damned simple question about the service.

The fact that Garry leaves the dissent on this page indicates to me that Garry and the people that have commented here have the facts straight, and unfortunately for Jeffrey, he could NEVER do the same, because of all the people he’s screwed out of money, and the ones that have grown wise to the tactics employed.

Imagine what a disaster a Jeffrey Lant blog would be. He couldn’t do it. Why? Too many people see right through him and the blog would never be able to lift off. I think that says more about Jeffrey Lant and his services than anything else. Even this post.

He couldn’t write a blog, an honest blog, never. Not without hovering his fingers over the delete key constantly.

I just feel sorry for the grandma’s and grandpa’s out there that are being screwed over right this minute, and every minute of the day by Lant and his cronies.

James, what are your associations with Jeffrey? How do you know him? Do you work for him? Are you selling his products?

I suspect you do, and with the research I’ve done on Jeffrey, I find that the only people that speak positively about him are those that have something to gain from him.

You’d just have to trust me when I say I’d give him a fair shake, but I can’t since everything I’ve seen, learned and know about Jeffrey says I shouldn’t.

Current to date, this post, which celebrated it’s one year anniversary about a month and a half ago, is probably one of my most controversial. It has stirred up diverse emotions, and still to this date, it accounts for close to 12% of my total month to month traffic.

With over 100 comments from a fairly opinionated group of people from across the country, strangely I can’t help but listen and read the stories shared by the number of people who feel like they have been scammed by this individual named Jeffrey Lant.

Many times, I have witnessed how Lant operates his webcast. He uses pressure tactics that cause people to feel vulnerable and ultimately a small percentage of people in these webcasts whip out their wallets and fork our money. This happens multiple times per day, and from what it seems, five days out of the week (maybe even more). Literally, at times, there are hundreds of people lured into these webcasts via the domain names listed above in the post. World profit is nothing more than a world of profit for Jeffrey Lant and his array of what I perceive to be brainwashed slaves to his system.

You say that dr.Lants is al;iar and aflse prophet.I go news for you .I learned so much about you common buinsess person and how to attrct them. I have been working closely with his freind and co partner George Kosch.
I am finally making money online more than ever.

I give everybody a chance to prove their program or business.This company has done that .
This is just my opinion.

From what I have leraned use free leads like what I offer, and free traffic exchanges it helps so much to start out for free.

Ole Jeff as you refer to a person Dr Jeffery Lant who’s been a successful business man in the catalogue business way back before the internet started, maybe even before you’ve been born, he’s got a community of nearly 500 000 members and is still helping people being in business for themselves today. His system is not a scam!!! Other people are selling services and websites with far less products for much more money!!! I attended an internet summit and every presenter was selling their products and services for £3000 or more plus monthly fees, so I don’t know what you are on about!!! (Dr Lant’s members have resellers rights with 80% commission to over 1200 products!!! Excellent training and he’s got people closing sales on behalf of newbie members (urgency is key because every moment lost is money lost!!!…and dare I mention, no negativity allowed…I like that!) Worldprofit and WiseWayToCash is utilizing the internet with the best value for money tools products, software, training and support to succeed on the internet and the best affiliate coms 80% and much much more…don’t knock it before you’ve tried it, I have and I am the proud owner of WiseWayToCash. If I may ask, what is a scam in your opinion? Helping people? training people? and offering value products to sell at 80%???!!! What have YOU achieved on the internet? or in any other businesses if I may ask? That gives you the right to make such statements??? I don’t see the point of wasting time with people on a site that is meant to sell not for debates…ego’s…and it is his site after all, he can bump you off if he pleases, join the forum or speak to other members about your concerns not where he is making live sales!!! It might be old school style sales in your opinion, but it is in the best interest of people who are thinking to enter the internet. They might be like me and regret that I’ve not joined 2 years ago, like someone I know who’s now really reaping the benefits….Show me any site that delivers 400 subscribers, and 50000 visitors to your site in the first week, $400 of new quality products every month to their members and much much more…. I have joined World Profit…Dr. Lant…and all I can say is good stuff. I am actually making money and I had never done that before. There is no scam. Also, I don't believe you are saying that Dr. Lant talked to you in the manner you are implying. I have never heard it although I have not been a member very long. But you also can not beat the tools you get, the education, and the community for the money. Dr. Lant gives so much to us.

What is the difference in World Profit and your blog. Aren't you trying to get people to sign up where you can make money? Same difference.

I joint a webcast at http://www.worldprofit.com and there your 'friend' Jeffery Lant' was presenting a money making scam. Although I'm not sure whether it is a scam or not, I just get weary when I type a person's name in google and find myself looking at scam warning messages. Well, I read about your encounter with, as you put it, the troll and I just wanted you to know about his latest scam filled idea.

Funny I posted a blog post on this earlier in the week – I was highly sceptical – especially when he said in his pitch that he can teach you to put pop up boxes on other peoples sites – i thought that was illegal! bit like me setting up a stall in front of someone elses shop selling the same thing without asking.

What a guy – I blogged about him because I hope people will do their research, but he will hook more people unfortunately

I have also been tricked into that site, but as alwasy, I'm very sceptical towards these things. I googled around and found this post and then I got back to the webcast where some guy was talking about how they can generate traffic to my website. I told him that I've been searching the net for reviews of worldprofit.com and that I haven't found any good ones, so I asked him to give a response to that, but he qouldn't quite figure something out it seemed. But then almost emediately, Jeffrey Lant started webcasting, just to tell everyone that I'm a trouble maker. That I've been on the site before, making trouble and false accusations, even though it was the first time on the site. After that I left the webcast and published the link to this post in their shoutbox. After a while I checked back on the site to see if they had noticed the shout (if they had removed it), but then my account was susspended. Worldprofit.com is in fact a huge scam network. I advice EVERYONE to keep others (and yourself) away from this site.

Jeffrey Lant is a Dr? Then he's a quack! And a thief! I got sucked into his deceit and I'm glad I did, because from his program on I never join anything now with sleeping on it and investing it to death. Which I should have been doing from the start, but live and learn.

I got kicked out in a very short time after joining his program because I was telling one of the ladies that there is NO SUCH thing as a self made Millionaire as he claims. If it were true he would need those folks who do the live broadcast. Plus I said I guess when he was a baby he feed himself, changed his own diaper, then schooled himself and on it goes.

He was listening in the wings and kicked me out with 0 refund. And ) visitors to my website as we are all promised 50,000 hits to any site of our choice.

Actually, their training includes complete information on how to use Blogs (Wordpress) to make money. As a matter of fact, almost everything Garry teaches seems to be included in their Bootcamp training system.

I remember Jeff "Call Me Doctor" lant from way back when I first started online 10 years ago.

I spoke with him on the telephone and when I questioned his marketing ideas was abused and yelled at for over 30 minutes.

He especially objected to the fact that I was a Christian.

Garry Conn is wrong about Jeff Lant being a Scam The webcast is once a day not three times a day like he said and it would have only costed me $99.95 per month to join. I was given the info immediately about how to get my 50,000 free visitors started to my website of choice as well and the visits are being delivered as promised and I made sales within the first 100 visitors
I never take anyone’s word/ opinion about another. I took a look myself and you should too getting 50,000 free visitors to my websites was well worth my 20 minutes of time not 90 minutes like Gary Conn claimed!

I was on Mr. Lant’s website, don’t know how I stumbled on to that site, the lady that was directing everyone, so unattractively and unfriendly, had posted her name as Rev. Annette, I thought, well I will see what it is, because she is a pastor after all, right? HAHAHA…

When I started to listening to Mr. Lant, the entire presentation was unprofessional, the “slides” he was referring to did not come up, everything was boring, monotone, slow, and lacking the sophistication to be taken seriously. Then when I went back to the main page, this Rev. was there, kept pushing me to join, I kept typing, I don’t understand what you think I am going to buy? I don’t understand this program or what it is going to cost… She just kept pushing for me to purchase. NO WAY, never in a million years would I spend my money on a program where I do nothing, they do all the work, and I get paid thousands of dollars to just sign up with them.

Seriously, I can’t believe people are so desperate to find something to do from home, that something for nothing, and paying 99.95 per month, UPFRONT is acceptable to them, and sounds legitimate. I hope some people start waking up soon.

I was scammed by Lant in1999 when my upline in USANA who was his former art dealer got involved with Worldprofit. I spent THOUSANDS of dollars- the packages were much more expensive because Worldprofit was new. You know- that whole getting in at the “ground floor ” BS.His right hand man at the time was Charles Carbonneau- who was then touted as a “marketing guru”. Jim Carpenter wasn’t as prominent but I do remember Sandi Hunter. I wish I still had the tapes. When we realized we were being scammed, I did challenge Lant in an email. His famous reply to pressure people into a sale was one word – “Well?”. When I did not receive a reply to my question, I sent him an email with “Well?”. He about lost his mind at my audacity to stand up for myself. He ranted at me and then threatened to report me to my ISP if I ever sent him another email. OOooooooooo…scary…I’ll lose my cable because JEFFY was challenged. My upline told me how eccentric Lant is- living in virtual seclusion in Boston at one time and one of his associates who was being promoted as a top seller was reportedly his …um…companion.

I hope he gets convicted on something that brings his whole house of cards down and rots in jail- then in hell.
