Only Joel could make something like that successful! I had been following his results on his blog.
I wrote this post a few days ago… the funny part about this is that my daughter (not even knowing who Joel Comm is) purchased the application for her iPhone. When I heard the sound, I asked her, “what was that?” She said, “I do know… some kind of fart program I found and mom bought for me.” lol
Someone else might have developed an idea it’s true, no way though however that everything has already been invented. Yes, many people say that perhaps because it’s easier to say this rather than think of new ideas instead. Life is a lot more intelligent than that, just like a space is unlimited, the space in our computers too. I am finishing my second online project with the CT site, which I started basically only 5 weeks ago (young domain too), I need about 30 more days to add more code and finalize. Then, or already from now on (to answer your question), I’ve been thinking of a new project I could do, nothing specific as yet. The prospect gets always exciting! Should be something around Google though.
No matter what you do timing is of the essence. This doesn’t always mean the actual timing of the product as much as being the fist one with a particular product or version thereof. Being first the potential of gaining a foothold in the marketplace is a lot easier than someone else coming in at a later date and trying to bite into the original market share.

You are so right about Joel. He is awesome! I was following the ifart development and cannot believe it is such a huge success. That is great for Joel. He works hard.
Success in all walks of life motivate me to continue pushing myself and learning more and more about business and life. It let’s me know that if they can do it, then I can do it.
In 2009, my plan is to generate enough income to fire my offline business as a real estate appraiser. This will be done by flipping websites while I develop niche websites and develop my email list for affiliate offers.
As far as setting myself apart from the rest, I will keep all the details secret for now, but will be venturing further into video and merging my publishing background into my blog/internet marketing business.

So he probably knows what he’s doing.
But going forward, internet marketing cannot be that easy compared to what it was 6 years back. You have more sub-channels to sell, but 100 times more competition
Lol Garry, I am trying to imagine that scene! Joel Comm is infiltrating everywhere.. But I think his idea of creating this application is quite unique and thats why it brought such great returns.
It need not be the best thing in the world, it just has to be special!
Wasn’t clear if you knew this, but those stats he shows are not cumulative, they are daily – so that 13,000 figure was just for the day of Dec 22nd. Amazing!

it seems like a silly app, and it is, but when you think about how the creator has done it, he’s been very clever.

Joel is very good at what he does. I never would have thought of creating an app like that.
2009 goals $1000 a month by my birthday (July). Very attainable I think.
