Do you ever wake up to experience a day where everything just totally… goes your way? A YouTube video that was featured on a recent new favorite site of mine called, CruftBucket, displayed a guy who had an experience of a lifetime. The video was of a young man named, Josh Silberman, who in this video was a contestant for the famous CBS TV show, The Price is Right. Josh went on a massive winning streak. He racked in over $40,000 dollars on The Price is Right! Apparently, all the prices were right for Josh.
The biggest winner of cash and prizes on The Price Is Right was a student from Pepperdine College. She won a total of $88,865 including a Lincoln and a Porsche. So with Josh racking in over $40,000, that’s not too bad in a days work. The Price is Right is is believed to be the second longest-running game show on television. It features over 70 different games played, and is by far one of the most well known television shows.
Josh Silberman is actually a very intelligent and creative individual. As it turns out, Josh does quite a bit of producing for NBC, a competing television network of CBS.
Like anything, the more things you produce the better you get to be at it. I have been lucky enough to be a producer on “Deal Or No Deal”, “Dr. Phil”, “The Entertainer”, and pilots such as “Barter Town” and “Beacher’s Madhouse”.

Intelligence, Motivation and a Little Luck.
From what it seems, Josh is living a fulfilling life. He isn’t chasing his dreams because he is living in them. And this just goes to show you, if there is anything you want to do in your life, it can be done.
If you have something you want to achieve, a goal you want to accomplish, get out there and do it. Work hard, learn and rub a lucky rabbits foot along the way if you have to. In regards to being successful making money online, this is totally something you can do. You don’t have to wake up every morning from this dream. Wake up and start living this dream.
Intelligence: Understand what is working and what clearly isn’t. For instance, if you don’t have traffic coming into your site, figure out why! Can you find your site and individual pages within your site in the major search engines? Answer: NO! Then question yourself WHY! Why doesn’t my site and pages pull up in the search engines. But what if my site and pages do pull up… Then the problem isn’t getting traffic, it’s keeping traffic! That leads to another question, “Why don’t people come back!”. Intelligence kicks in when you start to question things. Why does this happen, how do I do this, what is working, what isn’t working… question, question, question anything and everything. Learn, learn, learn anything and everything. If you are interested in Google Adsense, spend a day reading their docs, forums, and various pages that tell you the complete in’s and out’s of the program. If you are interested in selling on eBay… spend a day learning about eBay, discover what products sell and which products don’t. Research and figure out how you can sell top selling items on eBay. To be successful, you have to question anything and everything and learn the in’s and out’s of all!
Motivation: Your drive to be successful! The energy to make a commitment towards working twice as hard as the average individual and get paid half the amount. The fuel that you burn at 4:00 a.m. two hours prior to your waking kids who will need breakfast made and lunched packed for school. A foundation that supports you when your internal framework at times collapses.
Luck: Sure why not… everyone can use a little extra luck. But I feel that luck is a perception. I am the type of person who considers myself lucky in most all situations. If my site crashes, I am lucky because I will have the motivation to get it back up and running and secondly, I will then have the experience to know what to do if it happens again! Luck is simply how you perceive any given event. Commonly people feel lucky when things go their way and feel victimized when things don’t. I am lucky every day. I am lucky when I receive Google Adsense, Amazon.com, Commission Junction, and many other checks mailed to me. I am also lucky when I go months without making a dime! I have the intelligence, motivation and luck (a.k.a positive thinking) to push through and figure out what went wrong, how to correct it and most importantly… how to grow and improve from it.
And finally the video…
… everything can go right for you too. Every day you wake up, you make the day what you want it to be. If you wake up and want to have a bad day, then you’re going to have a bad day. If you wake up and want to be successful, then you will be successful. The day is what you make of it, and if you live everyday as if you were Josh on The Price is Right, there is no reason in this world why you can’t succeed with any goal you set for yourself. Wake up, kick yourself in the ass, grab a Snickers bar and go out there and lasso the dreams that you have been chasing, grab em’ by the horns and ride them out!
Don’t dream the dream, be the dream!

Lol that guys got some crazy dancing. Inspiring post though, understanding what is and isn’t working is definitely one of the more important points.
Glad to see he is living his dreams. Motivation is the key!
Dude…Steve is crazy…maybe he’d be more calm if he downloaded a copy of PCLinuxOS and didn’t have to spend so much money on M$ products!
PS…Garry, I can post comments to your site again, so I’m not sure what was going on, it seems to be fixed…for now anyway. Thanks for looking into it!
Garry…
Although each M$ operating system has been increasingly inefficient toward utilization of existing hardware, they do have to code all the backward compatibility for all previous Windows operating systems each time they have a new release. I know that has something to do with it.
Good points made however…is it possible that the platform running the software cannot be expected to be as efficient as the software it runs?
One more thing…Going from any M$ operating system to Vista, is going to give you the most performance problems. Although each new release of Windows has required more & more power…Vista has really taken the cake as the neediest Windows yet. Because of the cost of the software coupled with the cost of the new hardware, it has pushed me to the brink of utter Linux adoption!
But could you imagine the outroar if Microsoft decided to go out all new with no backward compatibility like OS9 to OSx. Apple fans and media thought it was great but they would not be so kind to Microsoft if they did the same. Why?
cheers,
GoldCoaster
I saw the Josh video on Cruftbuckets site a little while back – good on him.
You say he has worked on the show as well, this seems a little suspect that he won some prizes then .
cheers,
Gold Coaster
PIR is for Josh, he has nice abilities to get top place:)
Great Article. Josh is crazy and gets his dreams fullfilled. He believes in them and does everything for them. Yeah, you can reach almost everything, if you really want to have it. But you have to learn learn and learn. Thats the point. And i’m right now finding out what i do really want.
You think Josh is nuts? Check out Steve Ballmer.
Who Josh or Steve? or both! LOL!!
Yes, you are right motivation is the key. Conceiving of an idea is one thing, but without the motivation to execute, the idea will remind nothing more than a dream.
Well you see Matthew, the problem with that is the fact that…
There would be nothing for Microsoft to steal! It’s open source! and what fun is that? They founded their whole company off of theft of some one’s great idea (Apple) and become the most popular tycoon ever!
Vista is real nice! I love it… but it is stupid for the fact that I have to have a computer with enough resources to power a freaking nuclear submarine in order to operate it. Sheesh… you would think with time, software would become more efficient just like hardware. To me… it is simple laziness!
Look at the ROMS back in the 80′s and the video games in the 90′s… They cram packed so much data in such a small space… yet today!!! Software designers are lazy, and they don’t give a crap… because they know that hardware can compensate for their lack of interest in being efficient!
Now, don’t get me wrong… modern software is kick ass… but overall, I think the designers don’t really give it much thought about being efficient.
I would expect by now, that I have a computer that when I push the button, it instantly turns on and is ready to go.
My NES does this… why can’t my laptop? My NES turns on and can play games instantly… why can’t my computer do the same having 1000 times the computing and processing power??? It’s stupid and lazy!
Sounds like a suicide mission to me…
somewhat like a forwarded email or a threaded post in a forum that included the previous information in the posts prior to the current post…
Tons of useless and wasted space. However, I am stuck in a rock and hard place too… because I trust Microsoft and the software that runs my computer. If I didn’t run Microsoft, I would run Apple before I ran Linux… Linux is difficult, and unless this new version of Linux you have recommended to me is equally user friendly as M$ or apple… I would have to pass. I am pretty busy and don’t have time to surf the net for support topics on how to open the CD ROM drive in Linux. LOL!!
I am a Windows user just like I am left handed.. I speak English, but I can teach myself how to speak Spanish, just as I could teach myself how to use Linux.
And as it turns out, eventually I may have to… unless I get an Apple where I can keep that computer for 20 years without worrying about it becoming outdated!
Everyone is very critical of M$. They can’t even sneeze without getting put on the radar!
*Hey, feel free to include a link to a different section of your site in your sig… that is fine, but I have edited your sig and removed the link because you already link to your home page direct from your name. I don’t mind allowing people to add links into their comments… just don’t go nuts and link to somewhere other than your home page I have NO Follow removed, so it would be best to spread out and link to sections on your site that need more love! (again your name auto links there)
No. From what I read on his website, is that he does producing work for NBC. Josh lives in L.A. and was a legit contestant for the Price is Right…
