How To Make $1,634.06 in One Day Using Google AdSense

Did I reallly make $1,634.06 yesterday using Google AdSense? In this post you are going to learn a lesson that will really help you wise up when you are deciding on who you trust with teaching you how to make money online.

Commonly, one of the first programs that bloggers discover is Google AdSense. As you know,  this is one of the most popular problems people use towards making money online.

People who claim that they make a lot of money online usually try to prove their level of credibility using screen shots. In most cases these people complete fakes and don’t really make money online, but they want you to think that they do.

Their goal is to make you believe that they make a ton of cash on the Internet, that way they can have a better chance at selling you products that claim to help you start making money online yourself.

“The Proof is always in the screen shot! Experts always provide screen shots of their stats and their income earnings.”

The most common way to prove credibility is displaying screen shots but don’t believe the hype! Most of the screen shots you are viewing are totally fake!

Now, as the title of this post suggests, I am claiming to have made $1,634.06 yesterday using Google AdSense. Here is my screen shot that seals the deal. This is my screen shot that shows you that I am a Google AdSense Expert!

The above screen shot is obviously fake and it was very easy to make. If I had not wrote the words, “This Screen Shot Is Fake“, many people would believe that this claim was true and would want to know how I made so much money!

A screen shot is a very influential tool that people use towards gaining trust. When a person is successful gaining trust, they can make sales. Be aware of this tactic and don’t believe the hype.

How Did I Make This Screen Shot?

Making the screen shot was very simple. I logged into my Google AdSense account, loaded the page that had my earnings for the day before and then typed this code into the address bar.

From there, I was able to edit the entire page how I wanted. I tried to take an extra moment to make sure my math was correct when I was falsely changing the numbers.

I use Windows Vista, so I loaded up the Snipping Tool and took a screen shot. From there, I loaded the screen shot into Photoshop and used the Blurring tool to fade out the Clicks, Page CTR, and Page eCPM.

At that point,  I could have been done! Instead, I took an extra step and added the text that reads, “This Screen Shot Is Fake.” All in all, It took me less than five minutes to create this fake screen shot.

This is the same five minutes that crooks invest towards making thousands of dollars online while successfully being a fake and stealing your money.

The lesson for you to learn here is to not believe people because they show you really appealing screen shots.

Whoa!!!This is as good as it gets.I mean frankly,i have seen lot of email scams promoting this and i considered those fakes.But then,when i did see them on saw personal blogs,i fell for them.
But then,Gary can seperate grain from hay;-0
enlighting but then,its a dream for me,since i dont have enough time to do seo,keyword research to make sure i make my blog a cash cow.
All i like to do is write what i like and hopefully get some cash

There are a number of ways fake screenshots can be made. I think the snippet you linked to is a Internet Explorer thing though. Now, if some one wanted to prove to me how much money they made, they can write me a personal check for that amount. I’ll deposit it, and then give it back with a 10% processing fee.

javascript:document.body.contentEditable= ‘true’; document.design.designMode= ‘on’; void 0

is the code that you type into the address bar after the page loads. It works in Internet Explorer, Firefox and Google Chrome. I didn’t test it using other browsers such as Opera.

And your dream will become true with hard work and education. :)

Sorry to hear that you have fell for many scams. The great news is that you are wise of this and it will never happen again.

5 Make Friends, Earn Money { 11.24.08 at 2:38 pm }

I really respect your honesty on this subject, it is refreshing and you are right that many good scammers will attempt to lure people into paying for worthless programmes with fake screen shots and fake hopes. However I am particularly concerned about scams at the moment given the current financial outlook and the fact that many innocent people are desperately looking for ways to manage mortgage repayments or pay of spiralling credit cards. It is especially bad when scammers prey on these types of individuals as they don’t really have the money to lose. I also get fed up of email scammers wanting money for their sick relatives or promising to pay you $100,000 if you send then an administration fee of $50 to cover the check transfer. My philosophy is simple, if it sounds too good to be true it probably is….. Great post, this is the first time i’ve read your blog but I’ll be back

6 Garry Conn { 11.24.08 at 2:45 pm }

Oh yeah! I get those emails too. I get some really funny ones too such as the email of the lady that claims to be some rich from Russia and her husband has passed away and she needs to get the USA to live with her sister who was successful with becoming a US citizen. She needs help getting her money into US Bank account and will offer me 10% of her assets in order to do so.

I am glad that you found my blog and I look forward to helping you further. ;)

7 WordVixen { 11.24.08 at 2:46 pm }

Proof positive that you are indeed an evil genius. Where the heck did you come up with that code? I’ve always wondered how they faked up screenshots so well. I can barely crop and resize!

You have to think evil to fight evil. Such as the saying, “Fight fire with fire.”

With a name like, Garry “CONN”, sometimes that can be a challenge. :)

Hmmm..Thanks for the Inspiration Garry.
And now that i have found you,i am sure things will be better.
I am not sure if you remember but u had been to my blog for a review and you asked me to put up a large rectangle.
It is amazing that i have had click throughs on those,even though its embarassing to reveal the numbers and how many cents they have given me.
The point being that it is always good to know the right stuff for right people.
Frankly,i have been to a lot of probloggers site but i haven found anyone giving so much without asking anything in return(not that u need anything:-))

Ah – the fake screenshot – which almost always appears in conjunction with the stock photo of “luxury cars parked in front of the mansion.” Even better is the author sitting next to the pool with his laptop.

A few weeks ago, I was staying at a nice hotel. As I pulled in, I found myself parked across from the most GORGEOUS Bentley – dark blue with tan leather interior. It was a GORGEOUS car. I thought about getting someone to snap my photo as I leaned up against the beautiful car with the palm trees and giant pool surrounded by the security fence in the background. Then, all I’d have to do is generate a fake screen shot of my Google Adsense and lift an image of a mansion from Realtor.com and I’d be on my way to making internet millions! ;)

13 Garry Conn { 11.24.08 at 3:01 pm }

That is very cool. I am actually going to edit my post and link to your page. Did you make that video yourself?

14 Garry Conn { 11.24.08 at 3:02 pm }

Now that is funny! I am glad you didn’t do that though… or did you! :)

15 Ankit { 11.24.08 at 3:03 pm }

Oh Finally!!you do remember me:-)
I had sent you the link on blogcatalog too,
My CTR has increased,but then writing the content i something that i am comfortable with and with what i want to write about.
I sometimes feel that if i want to write the content based on what it will get me,it might get me deviated.
Frankly,i am bumm when it comes to Keyword Targetting.
I did a keyword anaylsis on some time back and i had the maximum denisty for words like “it”,”this” and likes.
No wonder i get only cents;-)

I must admit when you pm’d me I wasn’t really sure. I mean of all things it is possible for you to make that in a day I’m sure. I hate scams, as you know I’ve fell victim a few times, was even dealing with some scam artists with my bank acct just last year. Very easy for them to do with technology these days and for us that aren’t aware it makes us the easy prey. Good topic.

Way cool post, my friend. I’ve seen so many of those posts in the blogs I read, and I’ve often wondered just how much of it was true and how much was hype. Now I know.

Like WordVixen, I can barely cut and paste, let alone fake a screenshot like that. Just goes to show that some people will do anything to make themselves seem bigger than they are. Human Pufferfish. :)

Hey Conn Man,
Nice post. I have always been skeptical of this type of thing and that just helps to show why. The problem is it is really getting hard to tell who you can trust.

29 Top CD Rates Blog { 11.24.08 at 8:19 pm }

Now since we know how easy it is, we will all be much more suspect. Honestly, I don’t trust most of what I read. The Blogger either has to have earned trust via referral or long history of good material before I’ll purchase a product they are pitching.

Another coming thing I look out for is when five different people are suddenly pitching the same product. I take extra caution during those times.

Garry happens to have come my way via both methods.

30 Big Blogger { 11.24.08 at 8:26 pm }

I’m amazed.
I thought the fake screenshot were made in Photoshop, but your way even a 6 year old kid could do them…

31 Garry Conn { 11.24.08 at 10:35 pm }

Did you try it, its amazingly easy, but this should go to show everyone, that you can NOT trust screen shots. If anyone wants to sell you a product and they flash screen shots, you should walk away.

;)

32 Garry Conn { 11.24.08 at 10:38 pm }

You make a very valid point. I can relate to that when everyone started putting The Rich Jerk banners and Reverse Funnel System banners on their blogs. It seemed like it all happened at once and over night.

33 steve@weightlossweapons.com { 11.24.08 at 11:07 pm }

So true Garry, I’ve seen dozens of screen shots like this. All look very legit but with photoshop it is so easy to fake it.

To me a true test of an expert is their ability to teach. I also like to see real results that I can verify myself before I buy from them.

34 shane @ make money blogging { 11.25.08 at 5:50 am }

Morning G-man. LOL, HAHAHAHAHAHA, too funny. Unfortunately this is the EXACT reason why I DO NOT post earnings and Social Prooof (spoof). Glad you made a point of posting this though. Im not clever enough or stupid enough to figure things like that out.
I personally never bought into the social proof thingy I see on sales pages and most blogs for the very reason you give above. That and I personally could less what someone else is making ( happy others do well, but you get the point).
Unless I know and trust the person who is posting it I treat it with a grain of salt.

lol..I’m so excited to see your earning when I saw your title…after I read your article..only know that it’s fake. But it’s truth..many of bloggers are showing fake earning, but I’ll will still post it in my blog because I can keep track how much I’ve earned with my blog. Between, my proof is not much just a few cheque, so it’s for my self reference. Anyway, thanks for info Garry! :)

Hi Carlaj,

I’m a reader of Garry’s blog over a year now and I’m sure (I don’t make another bet because I already won my plate of lasagna this month, …cough… Garry ;) ) that there are days (or should I say holidays ?) on which Garry makes more than that amount.

Right now, instead to be sitting with his numeous family and eating, I’m sure that he is wearing out a keyboard a day until tuesday.

Carlaj, check out the link I provided you, you’ll learn a lot about how Garry makes money online.

Garry, I wish you a lot of energy and success in this days.

47 Garry Conn { 11.28.08 at 2:58 am }

Hi Alex!

The beginning of my season, though will be very short lived, has so far proved to be very wonderful. Today in fact, marks the highest dollar amount I have ever made on the Internet in one single day. And that is amazing news. Assuming that everything continues as planned, tomorrow I should very well even surpass that. I am totally thankful. If my prediction is wrong, that will be ok because I am so very happy to have hit such a huge milestone today.

Ironically, as I have worked towards these upcoming weeks, I am unsurprised to see my art and love for my job to be reflected on paper, yet too, it dumbfounds me to see how I really do it. My art and my job really does work! And on a day like this, I feel like I need to pinch myself! Of course what I do is very much like the game of chess. And if you are a skillful chess player, such as myself, you know all too well that one mistake, just one wrong move, can cost you the game.

Unfortunately, the game I play, if I lose, it will cost my freedom. My freedom is having the ability to stay home with my family. It is a freedom that I never want to lose. Consequently and because of that, I play my game very well.

2009 will be a very interesting and challenging year for me. The Internet is constantly changing and getting more complex. Search engines, in which I greatly depend on, are evolving and morphing into massive super computers and artificial intelligence of such a level that is simply mind blowing.

In 2009, I predict that there will be a lot of forward motion with the development of how search engines study the behaviors and patterns of humans who use search engines to find things on the Internet. This information will continue to be collected and stored, and then used when search engines consider how content should be ranked and ordered on their search results page.

Understanding and believing this, is just half the challenge. The other half of the challenge is in developing skills and adapting to the needs and rules of the system in order for me to continue to capitalize on the system itself. 2009 will be a huge challenge, but a challenge I am very much looking forward to taking.

Not many people (that I know of) follow me as closely as you do. I am very happy to know that you believe in me and value the information I publish and share on the Internet. I wish you all the success upcoming to you in 2009. I think that this will be a very profitable year for the both of us.

48 Big Blogger { 11.28.08 at 3:33 am }

I’m so glad that season started the right way for you (I never doubted it would be otherwise), because you’re a great guy, all dedicated to help your readers grow.

You have competence and willingness to help, it’s unavoidable that I follow you :)

For sure there will be changes in the search engines in the future, but I’m totally not afraid that you’ll loose, because:

- you have never been one of those who use shortcuts to fake the engines
- you’re always searching, learning and testing
- you’re always building new blogs and business models

As for me, the rollercoaster has another time begun to go up and down (should i pursue building niche blogs or should I build a personal development career or something similar ?). This questions are again filling my thoughts at night.

ciao

Course, I’ve always had the Spidey senses to alert me to something that doesn’t seem to add up, so I’ve purchased very few things, and only one of those things do I consider as a lot of junk, so I’ve been fairly perspicacious in my choices to date.
