Let’s Keep The ScratchBack Luv Going

with 12 comments

On November 25th I included ScratchBack.com on my blog because I wanted to provide readers with an affordable way to advertise their links while also giving me a way to earn a few extra dollars. From November 25th through December 25th I received a total of 20 ScratchBack orders. I want to thank everyone who purchased a link.

With that said, I want to encourage you to keep the ScratchBack Luv going. The cost to advertise on my blog using ScratchBack.com is dirt cheap yet extremly powerful. The cost is set very low at $5 dollars on purpose because I want everyone to be able to advertise their link without breaking the bank.

The program is very simple. When you purchase a link it will immediately and automatically be listed on the very TOP of my Top Spots list.  As you can see, I generously display a total of 15 links, so when you order your link, it will stay on the list for awhile.

So How Long Will Your Link Last? Let’s Take A Look.

Everytime I get a new ScratchBack order, I receive an email notification. Here is a screen shot that shows you the dates of my orders from Nov. 25th through Dec. 25th. Viewing this screen shot will give you a good idea with determining how long your link will last on my Top Spots:

Here is the break down:

  • On launch day, I received 3 orders
  • On Nov. 26th I received 4 orders.
  • Nov 29th, 1 order.
  • Nov. 30th, 2 orders.
  • Dec. 2nd, 1 order.
  • Dec. 5th, 1 order.
  • Dec. 15th, 6 orders. The first three dropped off the list.
  • Dec. 19th, 1 order. The 4th order dropped off the list.
  • Dec. 25th, 1 order. The 5th order dropped off the list.

Since I launched ScratchBack only five orders have dropped off my list. In fact, the first five orders were listed on my Top Spots for almost an entire month before they dropped off the list and they only paid $5 dollars.

As you can see, advertising on my blog using ScratchBack is the best way to go. Your $5 dollar investment could land you a link that may last you almost an entire month. Even if your link only stayed on the Top Spots for three days, you’re still getting the best deal.

Yesterday I wrote a post seeking out site advertisers. Perhaps those prices might be too expensive for you? I believe that you will apprecaite this affordable alternative.

The cost to advertise on my blog using my own banner advertisement program is $2.34 / day for the 468×60 and $3.34 / day for the 300×250 banner. If your link lasted for only three days using ScratchBack.com you would still save money.

So let’s keep the ScratchBack Luv going on the blog. Placing a $5 dollar order is also one of the most appreciated ways you can thank me for helping you. Not only that, but also you’re going to get some killer traffic for a very low cost.

  • Saying Good Bye To ScratchBack.com

This of course is nothing against Jim Kukral. I think his blog is awesome, in fact, I think its one of the better blogs out here. Time time has come though, I need to remove ScratchBack.com. It’s not Jim’s fault, nor is it mine or yours. Here is the problem...
  • Are You On My Top Spot?

Middle of last year, Jim Kukral, a web marketing strategist and blogger who I really enjoy following created a really cool widget called ScratchBack. At that time, Google had just slammed their hammer down on quite a few icon bloggers for selling text links ads! It resulted in putting the...
  • Six Things You Can Do If You Want To Help Me

I guess you can consider this to be (Part Two) of what I have learned recently. A reader had commented on my post saying that he wanted to help me, but didn’t know how to. My friend Alex pointed out to him some of the things that he could do...
  • I Am Looking For Site Advertisers

As you may know, I have a banner advertisement system on my blog. I have two locations where I display banners. The first location is on my header and the second location is on my sidebar. Both locations are displayed on every page within my entire blog. On my header...
  • Make Money Online Selling Affiliate Products In The Classified Ads Section of Your Local Newspaper

Here is an idea that I believe can work for you. The idea is to make money online selling affiliate products by promoting them in the classified ads section of your local newspaper. Do you want to talk about traffic? People tend to think that Google and other search engines...

  1. Having the 15 spots makes them much more valuable! I hope you get a few more advertisers (although I guess the ones on the list are hoping you dont :D )

  2. That might be true. Those on the list will be hoping that their links won’t get dropped. :D

I’m planning on introducing Scratchback on my blog too.

  3. Oh course, with a deal like that, who wouldn’t want to stay on the list for a year! ;)

The problem though is if I can’t keep the links flowing, I will have to remove ScratchBack.com as it is taking up too much real-estate. I don’t mind having it up, I think it is really cool. But, if no one is interested, I am sure you can understand how I wouldn’t want it to remain on my blog.

I have done quite a few things to make it accommodating for everyone such as displaying 15 links rather than 5 or even 10. Also I have made it extremely affordable. You can’t even order a meal at McDonalds for $5 dollars.

I am not bent about this, I just understand that somethings work and other things don’t. This is my third year writing on this blog, and I am slowly learning not to beat a dead horse.

  6. Hello Garry,
thanks for letting me know about the advertisement spots you have available for that much low fees. I would prefer a spot on that list.

You are too cheap in the banner advertisements too. I want your reply on the fact that popular making money online blogs like yours must be earning far more than you. If you offer spots for more than also many advertisements will be available…Even Adsense can earn you far more.

  8. It is just unbelievable that scratchback is coming back. It has been around for a while now and everyone had taken it off there Blog. Now it is the resurgence of ScratchBack. Thanks to you.

  9. I think this Scratch Back idea is a great idea and I have seen it recently popping up a lot around the blogosphere. I might initiate this on my blog when I roll out the new design for my site.

  10. I am sure that makes Jim happy. ;)

It is a great widget, the success of it I guess depends on the blog.

  12. I like the scratchback idea and have put it on my site as well. I think it is a very good way for people to have a link on a website. My site doesn’t have as much turnover as yours, Garry, but I am working on it. I learn something new here almost everyday. Thanks!
