Make Money By Starting an Online Casino
Among all of the bloggers within the make money online niche, casino and gambling isn’t a topic that is brought up too often. It puzzles me why there isn’t much of a buzz about online casinos and gambling, because if done correctly, launching and owning an online casino web site can indeed return huge profits. Perhaps many people who consider building an Internet casino web site assume that the process is too difficult.
I ran across a web site called Web’s Best Online Casino and this is a great example of how a blogger who wants to make money online can take things a step further with online business. This particular online casino web site is one I consider to be a very balanced site. Their site mainly serves as a hub or a directory which provides a super huge convenience to users who want to find and play the best casino and gambling games on the web.
Web’s Best Online Casino was created with the idea in mind to share information about both land based as well as online casinos. In addition to players having the ability to place online bets from the leisure of your home, players also have quick access to an array of different games all with betting structures that matches your comfort zone. It is just a matter learning and understanding the different types of casino deposit methods.
For new beginners who want to learn more about playing online gambling games, Web’s Best Online Casino provides a lot of useful information to help people discover how it all works. For example, you can check out their casinos beginners guide. This is a huge FAQ style directory that provides you with an abundance of information all designed to help beginners get the most from playing online games. To help makes things even easier, Web’s Best Online Casino also has a resource of casino articles, which is almost what I would call a blog. These are a batch of informative articles that teach you more about online casinos such as how bonus offers and casino licensing work.
So you may be wondering, “How do I start my own online casino?” Well, I don’t think it is as difficult as you might think. Granted, it is a challenge, but it is one that I think if you put your mind to, you’ll over come. The first thing you need to do is find web hosting who will support and host your online casino site. I can’t give you any references but I am sure it shouldn’t be too hard to find. Doing a simple Google search for Online Casino Web Hosting should get you pointed in the right direction. The next thing that you might want to get familiar with are the legal issues. Once you have found web hosting, scored a nice domain name and got all the legal things taken care of then you’ll need software.
This is the fun part because there is actually a BIG selection of pre-made online casino software available. For blogs, you may be used to Blogger or WordPress, well it just happens that software designers make online casino software too. This is software that is already to go, you just need to install it onto your web host, configure it and let it go. One of the best places to look for online casino software is at a site call Hot Scripts. Most of these programs cost money, but if you search long enough, you may find a few for free.
Whether you are looking for a way to make money online or if you simply want to play a few online games, you might want to check out Web’s Best Online Casino and see how they are running things. I was very impressed with their available resources and of course, their Internet casino.
So what do you think? There are quite a few challenges in the online gambling world. Ranking well in search engines seems to be a challenge, not all web hosting companies will accept you, and there are quite a few legal items that you need to know before you push forward. What are your thoughts about running an online casino?

Here in New York State I think they passed a law restricting it, but I thought that there was some kind of a Federal law that made it illegal to process gambling online fees with a credit card.
Not sure, just what I believe from a poor memory. If that is the case I don’t know if the law would restrict using PayPal.
I would have no problem with building such a site if it was legal.

See that’s the thing with me… I don’t have too much experience with legal stuff; but my God… these sites just totally rake in the cash. And you know what, for customers, they really kind of look like fun. I have been to a few land based casinos over the last few years and I sure did have a fun time. I am very cautious with my money though and before I go I say to myself that I am only using xx amount and if I win money, awesome… but if I lose that xx amount that I have allowed, then oh well, I am not using anymore.
With gambling, having self control is the key and that is something a lot of people don’t have… consequently, that is one of the main reasons why both offline and online casinos make so much money.
I really think you should consider another route. There are simply to many legal complications of running the casino yourself.
I have friend that started in this business about 10 years ago but as an affiliate for the casinos (which is also what the site you’re referring to is). Now THAT is a place to make huge piles of money if you can beat the competition. If you’re up for the challenge any of the 3 Ps (Porn, Pills and Poker) can make you a nice income but you’ll have to fight thousands of competitors to get your share. But surely it can be done.
While it seems like a good idea, I think that trying to start an online casino would be really tough to do…well, not the starting of it, but making it successful. I think there are already enough big name sites that attract the majority of business that people already trust that you would have a pretty difficult time getting people to come to yours.
Although, if you have some connections in the real-world gambling arena you could get your name thrown around a bit and/or someone wearing your name to a big event (preferably televised) that could help get you the jump-start you would need.
I think one reason that most people shy away from doing this is that online casinos (aside from the few mainstream/big name ones) generally get/have a shady reputation and people don’t want to be associated with that.
Hey Garry-
Casinos and poker sites can be profitable. People are always talking about membership sites and continuity programs, well if you get a poker site with a % of the rake plan and get a bunch of consistent poker players, you can have a nice monthly residual income.
I play poker about 20-25 days a month and get rakeback. So far this month, I have generated $802.32 in revenue for the site I play at in rake, or the house’s take and I have received $216.62 back in rakeback.
Imagine getting a few dozen players to generate that kind of monthly revenue for you…
Sweet!
Good luck!
You’ll need it.

[...] it was just a few days ago when I wrote a post about making money online by running your own online casino site. After thinking back on it I thought maybe that could be a little too much of a project to take [...]
It’s not as easy as you make it sound. The main problem is that the barriers to entry are extremely high. If you’re licensing software, you’re looking at several hundred thousand up front. On top of that you have licensing costs. The cheap scripts on the site you pointed to will NOT be accepted by gaming agencies in any country which issues licenses for online gaming. Without a license, you’re completely out of luck trying to take deposits through e-cash providers. If you write your own software, be prepared to spend a couple years and a few hundred thousand in development. Either way, without significant capital investment to the tune of $1m you are not going to even take your first deposit.
Add to that the competition. With thousands of online gambling sites, what do you think would make your off-the-shelf cheap script software stand out and attract customers? What kind of contingency, backup and service plans can you show to potential investors or to the licensing board for the jurisdiction you plan to do business in?
I’ve been wrestling with these issues for years, put over half a million into it and I know more than most lawyers do about the current state of the law. Here’s my advice: There is a giant pot at the end of this particular rainbow. But if you start working on it today, make sure you have a five years to put in before you see a profit, and a reason why people should visit your site rather than those of the 50,000 other competitors. This is neither the market — nor the regulatory framework — that existed back in 1995. If you go into something like this as an individual, you will be scalped for everything you have and could well end up in prison.
