Make Money Online $1.00 At A Time

I am sure that you have heard the old saying,

An apple a day keeps the doctor away!

I have a new saying,

A dollar per day on a blog just may, keep the bill collector away!

Seriously, how hard is it to make one lousy dollar per day on your blog? What is needed to do so? Because, a blog that makes one dollar per day makes a total $365 dollars per year. Times that by 100 and you are looking at $36,500 dollars per year.

That’s right! The strategy is not to make money online using one blog. The strategy is to do it by running 100 blogs. Immediately, do a few of these thoughts come to mind?

How can this be done? I don’t have time to run one blog let alone 100! Garry… you are nuts and I am done reading!

Running 100 blogs isn’t hard to do. You have to understand that how you run them is different from how you have been running your current one. Go to Google.com and search for a logical phrase. Observe the results and see if the top results have that exact phrase in their title, description or URL. If not, then you are in business. Even if so… you can still be in business by evaluating if you can easily compete with the results already being displayed.

Go to Blogger.com and create a new blog and title it exactly like the phrase you searched for in Google. (Don’t forget to add your meta tags) Create your first post and talk about the phrase you typed in Google. Make the post good, don’t make it too cheesy. Make sure you mention the search phrase at least twice in your entry.

Example:

 Payoff:

It doesn’t take much effort to create a blog that generates extremely relevant and very APPEALING results. The golden BRICK in this strategy is the simple fact that Google WEEDS OUT all the tire kickers from the people who are going to go CLICK HAPPY NUTS on your blog. When a person actually searches for something like this, your blog will be listed first. If someone searches for it, they are looking for it… and if your site is there, they will visit it. When they visit it, they will click on Google Adsense because you are smart and have written very creative articles that generate compelling and attractive ads in relation to strategic positioning. It’s simple! And it doesn’t take a lot to hit the $1.00 per day mark.

Key Points To Remember:

  1. What does it matter how many people per day search for this? Once, the blog is built the work is done.
  2. With little effort you can generate enough traffic to the blog to gain the minimum amount of clicks needed to reach your $1.00 per day goal. The combination of extremely relevant ads being displayed in relation to your strategic positioning of these ads in relation to how you control your content and outgoing links, makes this small blog a daily money maker. Times this by 100 and you can quit you day job. Or in other words, creating blogs like this will become your day job!
  3. Blogs like this are helpful! They really are. They are NOT splogs because you created them and wrote them all by hand. Launching a site like this is totally thought out and planned. You are actually helping Google continue to be a better search engine. By searching Google and finding a phrase that doesn’t pull up excellent results and by creating a blog that is designed to do just that… This Helps Google Grow. The end result is you provide a person who searches for the phrase with a site that is 100% relevant to the phrase being searched. And most importantly, you make money doing it!

Put It Into Action:

So how do I do this? How do I make this happen?

Easy.

  1. Visit Google.com and find a phrase you like: Consider the elements. 1.) will people be likely to click and, 2.) do the advertisers pay high on the CTR’s?
  2. Launch a Blogger.com blog with the exact title of the phrase you searched.
  3. Install Google Adsense code on the site. (Blogger.com comes with the widget to do so!)
  4. Create your first blog entry. Make it a good one! Use your target phrase in the article at least two times.
  5. Include the proper meta tags in your blog. (See above for info and link)
  6. Sign up for Google.com/Webmasters, submit your blog URL and verify your site.

Check Google Webmasters

Once Google indexes your blog, it is time to create a second entry. Write a second article. Make it a good one! Spill your guts about the search phrase you are targeting. Monitor the site and wait until Google indexes the site again. Every time Google indexes the blog, be ready to create a new article.

Soon, you will see these blogs start to generate money for you. It doesn’t take a lot to make one dollar per day on these blogs. Three to five clicks is all you need. If you have additional time on your hands, you can boost traffic by doing link exchanges, registering the blog in MyBlogLog and commenting on other blogs that are relevant to your own.

Final Thoughts

Have fun! And know that there is money to be made out there. To get the money you have to be creative. There is no reason why you can’t make a good salary by making money online. Launching 100 successful blogs that generate a minimum of $1.00 dollar per day will get you there! Garry you damned genius!

This sounds very attractive to me. As a matter of fact I’m throwing this in my speed linkage post at the moment and suggesting the idea of forming a partnership with someone to REALLY kick something like this off.

Even with my full time job, I think it’s very possible to make something like this happen. It will just take a bit of research to come up with some trendy titles, but that’s half the fun for me!

GREAT POST

3 Techie Buzz { 05.25.07 at 4:42 pm }

Great thoughts Gary, a definitive good approach to make money. I do make use of the key pharses idea to make posts, and voila i end up on front page within 2-3 days. So this definitely makes good sense as a point of making money.

But it may become that one day Google may think your a spammer and bamm everythings gone. LOL

4 Garry Conn { 05.25.07 at 5:23 pm }

Google will think someone is a spammer if they start spamming. The number of blogs you author doesn’t reflect poorly on you in Google’s eyes. What is reflected poorly is running a splog or other forms of spam sites. Most spam sites either copy and paste the content written by other people or have software do it for them. In the example site that I created, maybe I layed it on a little too thick, but I wanted to illustrate the foundation to how the blog is designed in my mind.

I seriously don’t think Google would consider someone a spammer for taking the time to research their index results and find holes that need to be filled with relevant content.

Your comment does get me to thinking though and as a safety precaution against this I would invest additional time into creating the following pages:

  • An About Me Page: Make sure this page is complete, has a photo of yourself and a bio. Include references to other sites that further explain more about you. View my about me page as a reference.
  • A Contact Me Page: Provide readers with a way of contacting you. Include an online form and manually type your email address and instant messenger contacts in the form of, Garry [@] Mysite.com
  • A Link Page: This links page is packed full of resourceful sites that are extremely relevant to your own. They are rich and high in quality. Additionally, you can add a contact form here or a general way of allowing your readers to contact you to request to have their link added.

This idea I have about authoring 100 blogs is not a spam trick. I can’t stand splogs or other spam tricks. This idea is about managing your time wisely and structuring your time in a fashion that allows you to manage over 100 blogs and make a ton of money doing it. :) It took me less than 30 minutes to set up the Sugar Smacks blog and within less than twelve hours it can be found on Google’s Blog search home page. And this is of course, minus the actual Googlebot index. I have check Webmaster tools and it hasn’t been indexed yet. When it does get indexed, it should start to pull up in the main SERPs. When that happens, then I can create a second post. And actually, depending on how much time you have on your hands, you can pretty much dictate to the Googlebots how busy your site will be. After the Googlebots first visit, you can create 7 more posts and then wait for the bot to come back… after that you can create 14 posts, etc… you can easily train the Googlebots and teach them how busy or “Not” busy your site is.

5 Garry Conn { 05.25.07 at 5:29 pm }

It is very possible. My original copy that got edited mentioned about this should be right up the alley of people who don’t mind burning a little midnight oil while working their normal 9 to 5’s.

Setting such a low goal for a site to make money is easy. Getting a blog to make $1.00 per day is a very reasonable goal. It took me less than 30 minutes to create the Sugar Smacks Are Good blog and if I do my job correctly and execute a little follow up, this small blog will make $365 per day and climb higher as it gets older. 30 minutes of work can earn you $365 dollars the first year, and continue growing every year after. After certain attributes are met, you can even through in Text-Link Ads and write ReviewMe.com reviews.

6 Ryan Shamus { 05.25.07 at 8:56 pm }

I’ve taken action and I’ve got something hot cookin’ in the oven!

It’s very time consuming to start, but it will automate itself in time. I have 50 blogs online at this point in time which all revolve around the same subject which is very “clickable”, and the costs per click are among the highest in the industry!

I am making it extremely clear on each blog that I’m not a spammer, or splogger – because I’ll be updating each one of them with relevant content.

Anyway, I have about 68000 thoughts running through my mind at the moment, but I just wanted to let ya know that I decided to follow through and JUST DO IT!

When I’m rich, I’ll remember you for this one Garry….hehe

7 Carmen Laing { 05.25.07 at 8:59 pm }

Garry I did IT. did I do it right?
I have always wanted to do this…backingtracks/blogspot.com
I have so much to say on this matter. And it was right in front of my nose how to tell everyone. Thank you for showing me the obvious.

8 goldcoaster { 05.25.07 at 9:23 pm }

wow, what a brain you have!
Garry I didn’t realise blogspot could have ad revenue – the free wordpress can’t (well I think it can’t)

I will start this tonight I think.

A question – Google indexing, how do you know? Just by searching that term of does Google tell you on some page?

Ryan,

Wow, talk about being proactive. Don’t get yourself too burned out. If you were to launch one per day that would be a good pace. Because remember when Google does index your blog, you will need to quickly turn around and publish another article so that the next time the bot comes back it can see that the site is updated on a regular basis. By doing 50 all at once, you might be making your job too difficult in the weeks to come. Where if you just have a trickle of new blogs being launched (like a leaky faucet) it might be easier to maintain. However, if you have the time to manage the 50 up front… more power to you man! Good luck and send me some of the URL’s so I can check them out.

11 Garry Conn { 05.25.07 at 10:00 pm }

I am trying to pull up backingtracks/blogspot.com and the site isn’t coming up yet. I noticed your regular site is a regular true blue website (like from my generation of sites in the early 90’s). If this is your first time trying to set up a blog, let me know and I can help you along the way… if I have some extra time I can go in and get everything configured for you. They’re not too difficult though, you should be able to handle it. If the backingtracks/blogspot.com eventually is going to be your site address, what keyword(s) does that target? What are backing tracks? Just curious.

12 Garry Conn { 05.25.07 at 10:04 pm }

Yes some times I have to poke it with a stick to let the swelling out. :)

Blogger.com is owned by Google so they have open arms to bloggers who need a place to call home and make money from it. They allow you to monetize your blogger.com blogs totally.

Wordpress.com on the other hand doesn’t. They are clear about their policy and will remove your account if caught trying to make money from it.

Google indexing is discovered when you sign up for Google.com/webmasters and submit and verify your site. You should include all site your author / admin into your Google.com/webmasters account so that you can manage them from one place. There are a lot of tools and useful information about Google there as well. :)

13 Garry Conn { 05.25.07 at 10:27 pm }

Goldy,

I am a straight shooter. But I have mixed emotions about that choice of keyword. One you are targeting people who are to buy an expensive television. Second thing is the level of competition you have in the SERPS. Doing a search for “The Biggest Television” returns over 20 million results. Where my two word term “Sugar Smacks” returns only 267,000. Additionally, the ads that my test site generate are things that don’t try to pitch or sell anything… let alone an extremely expensive television. Goldy, Google places a lot of weight in the actual URL of pages when they are considered for inclusion in the SERPS. So, I am actually glad you created this page, because for me this will be a good measure to see how much weight is being used in this formula.

You might want to try this one: Cheap Televisions Online. This returns 6.8 million and is a better search term, or rather a search term people would be more likely to type. And I checked the name on Blogger.com, it is available.

14 Goldy { 05.25.07 at 10:34 pm }

Thanks Garry. There were no sites that recognized the exact phrase the biggest television (at least I don’t think so) but there were a lot of hits. I was trying to find something I thought that a lot of people would search for but my phrasing was different.

Thanks for this post. This could be an interesting experiment for me while I focus on making GoldyWorld even better.

15 Goldy { 05.25.07 at 10:36 pm }

Thanks for the reminder… I got in on time too! I am 95th member and only 5 spots left to be on your front page. Seriously, sorry about that. I am a nice guy, but I spread myself pretty thin… I want to be everywhere at once. If I had my way, I would have been your first member!

But, I am in! and thanks for the reminder. :)

18 Garry Conn { 05.26.07 at 1:20 am }

You are right about the phrase… I just got nervous when I saw the total # of sites that pull up. However, you just may be right about this and it could work. If that is the case, then I think it will prove that people don’t have to fill holes in the SERPs with such narrow results. I wish the best and if you end up there in the front page, please let me know! :)

19 Homemom3 { 05.26.07 at 4:57 am }

course Goldy can now do both. The one Goldy currently has up and the one you are mentioning. :) Just a thought.

23 Goldy { 05.26.07 at 5:21 pm }

done homemom… got to build it now.

24 Garry Conn { 05.26.07 at 7:54 pm }

You don’t. You can do a little research by viewing other blogs and message board to see what others say. It is against Google’s TOS to discuss things like that, people still do though. Do some searches on Google such as, “Which Google Keywords Pay The Most”. Do a little digging and I have no doubt that you will run across a ton of info about that.

25 Garry Conn { 05.26.07 at 8:00 pm }

thats pretty cool! :) It’s funny. Change the author meta tag from my name to yours. And also I love the meta keywords! Let’s see what it takes to get pulled up here in the SERPs. Are you managing the site in Google/Webmasters? Let me know when the blog gets indexed. That is pretty funny how many people blog about this. :)

26 Garry Conn { 05.26.07 at 8:01 pm }

You never know! If you run 100 and make 36,500 doing it… you could pay someone else to help you expand. :)

27 Garry Conn { 05.26.07 at 8:04 pm }

Looks pretty cool. I would fix your title tag and add meta tags. These both pretty easy to do. Meta tag info can be found here. Good luck with blogging. :)

hahaha, oh gosh-darn-it, I did it again. Okay it is now my name. lol. I know I was amazed by the amount of people look up that phrase. My dad always sung it, drove my grandmother nuts. It was forbidden at the dinner table at her house. hehe.

Google webmaster? I don’t think so, not sure where that is but guess I’ll be on a quest later. (got a new vehicle that I must test out today) I do have a google account though. But by the sounds of it that’s not what ya meant. BTW- don’t forget to ping it through google blog search, many people forget about this one.

30 goldcoaster { 05.27.07 at 5:42 am }

Can I ask how many ad clicks does it take to generate the $1 . Google is not very forthcoming in that department.

31 Garry Conn { 05.27.07 at 10:20 am }

That totally depends on what ads are being generated on your site. There are definitely ads that pay better than others. Do a little research on it and you will have a pretty good idea on which ads generate the most / least.

32 Garry Conn { 05.27.07 at 10:26 am }

Go to Google Webmasters, then click Webmaster Tools and then you should be able to submit all of your sites into your dashboard. From there you will need to verify each site. I like to use the meta tag option. Once you verify the site(s), you can view a world of info about your sites such as, the last time a Googlebot indexed your site, what people search to find your site in the SERPs and so much more.

33 Homemom3 { 05.27.07 at 1:00 pm }

Matt,

Thanks for the comment. Once a person has grasped the skills and knowledge needed, it is pretty easy as most jobs can be. My situation is I don’t have manpower to execute. I am a one man show… but that’s OK too, it keeps me busy and out of trouble! :)

Garry, any idea of how long does it take for Google to index a new blogger/blogspot site?

hey Gary,

Just ran across your blog and I am blown away. One it gives me some great ideas of sites that i can start and monetized almost immediately. Along with this, you and I are of like minds, because I got involve with Internet Marketing only about a month and a half ago and I put up a site, http://www.crabcakesheaven.blogspot.com

My family and friends laughed at me. But, since 14 May, when i first put Adsense on the site and wrote some articles, I have gotten over 275 clicks. And the site isn’t even index! Along with that, I am ready to put up a few more sites ala you Gary in order to build momentum.

47 Manila Mom { 06.13.07 at 8:59 pm }

I’ve launched several blogs as you outlined: Philippine Trip, Ageless Beauty, Health and Wellness,Chronic Headache, Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, All Free Stuff Blog, Credit Ability.
How long do you think is needed before they get regular daily income?

48 dominic high { 08.18.07 at 8:47 pm }

I just wanted to say thank you for helping and providing this article. I recently launched about nine more blogs and am starting to get some traffic. The interesting thing is that last night I put together two sites, http://subprime-mortgage-loans.blogspot.com and
http://winningcashgamepoker.blogspot.com at around 9:00pm EST and today they were both indexed in Google! Along with using Webmastertools ans you mentioned, I submitted the two sites to several social bookmarking sites through Onlywire.com.

The next step is to actually increase the pageranks and create traffic. Any suggestions would be helpful.
