I agree with you in that someone could create a very profitable gardening blog if they build it up the way you suggested.

Garry - I see no harm in you charging $1 to read on - I will admit I haven't (but thats because I have to head out in a minute). I'll be back to read on though!

It's a token gesture - it's not like you're asking for $100!

Hi Jerry,

Firstly, I want to thank you for leaving me a comment and addressing your concern. I am sorry that asking you to pay me one dollar to read my article has offended you.

My blog is three years old. I have written a countless number of articles, each providing readers with some really amazing and high quality advice and tips.

There are a few things that I have published on my blog that I feel are just too valuable to give away to everyone. I feel like those who really want to learn from this article will be willing to tip me $1 dollar to read it.

I have never received any complaints until today and in fact the only things I have received are countless emails of the people who have read this article telling me that I should have charged them more.

I don't think that you should take offense, but just come to the understanding that ordering the article might not be right for you. No big deal and no harm.

If you prefer, I'd like to invite you to my membership program where you can not only receive this article for free, but many more, including high quality video tutorials. The membership site is under way and will be online in the next day or so. In the mean time, you can have a free membership when you order my 60 minute video on how to build profitable niche blogs.

Once again, welcome to my blog and thanks for taking the time to voice your concerns.

Hi Gary,
I think this my first visit, and really like your blog-except for one thing-"give me a buck to read the rest"????
I have a hard time believing you make any real money with this tactic, and I would venture to you lose a lot more (people who, like me, are put off and just leave.)
I was really looking forward to reading more...oh well!

G man what are your thoughts on the strength of competition and the high SOC for the phrase(s) you've chosen?
Or do you even consider the SOC. I typically look at the search numbers then check the SOC for the term I am interested in. BEing a little on the lazy side of creating micro blogs I dont want to devote enormous time and resources to ranking for phrases.

Check out shane at make money blogging's last blog post..Ego Marketing

informative and easy to understand, but are you going to use the complete kw list to create categories? that's good for the search engines, but not so appealing to the human eye.
