Therapeutic Methods For Building Niche Blogs That Make Money Online

In this post, I am going to show you how you can make money online running therapy software niche blogs. By now, I think most of you guys and gals understand how to build these micro niche blogs. The process is very simple. I strongly believe that the content I produce on this blog is by far one of the most useful resources for anyone who wants to make money online by monetizing content with Google AdSense that targets specific keyword phrases in Google.

One of my more recent posts titled, Make Money Online with a Concrete Curbing Niche Blog, totally walks you through my internal thought process when choosing a keyword phrase to target. Today, I’ll do it again, but listen up, because this very well may be the last time I do this. The reason is very simple. What I am about to reveal to you in this post is something that I would have done myself. However, instead of pushing forward with this niche, I have decided to share it with you and allow you the opportunity to take advantage of it.

Now I can see this as an opportunity but what I say to myself is I have no interest in physical therapy software, how can I blog about it? I know I could do some research and find out information, but as it doesn’t interest me in the slightest I’d find it really really boring! How do you over come that?

Well, in school I had to do book reports for lame ass books I hated to read. I did it anyways because I didn’t want to fail in my class.

Another way is when you get your first Google AdSense check it kinda motivates you to become a writing whore. Today, I’ll write about anything.. I have no shame, it’s my job… I write content for the purpose of helping people who read it coupled with the secondary goal of monetizing it.

Never never write poor quality. When you write content, you need to write it as if Google AdSense would never be on the page. If you have your heart into it, your content will rock. A lot of people don’t ENJOY their job but they tolerate it because it pays well. With that said, they are willing to invest their heart into their work because it pays the bills.

Some people actually ENJOY their job and that is when their work really shines… Needless to say, I really enjoy doing what I do, and I do it very well. ;)

I would now start booking each website with the niche you share here.
Was not really finding time to do this, but from now on.. lemme start building a network of blogs like you :)

And physical therapy software is something i know well about, so would be working on it now :)

Thanks Garry!

I already have hosting that I’m happy with: how much would you charge to setup the blog if I don’t register a HostGator account?

Well now we know 1,000 webmasters will go out and try to dominate that niche. That being said, let’s find some other high paying / low volume keywords! ;)

Great post Garry. I love seeing how your mind thinks.

@Clog Money – You better get over not wanting to write about subject that don’t interest you. Remember, these are micro niche blogs. You only need to write 5 – 10 articles. I used to think like you. But, I quickly saw that the money is in these “boring” topics.

7 BrilliantJENI { 10.10.08 at 6:36 am }

A brilliant post. In fact, so brilliant, that many of the domains (including the “You are stupid if you don’t buy this one”) were already taken within minutes after you sent me the link, Garry! I’m going to need a 15 minute tip-off in the future!

I found this post not only interesting, but clarifying, and by golly George… I think I’ve got it- lower search volume equals less competition and less traffic in exchange for higher CPC. So well put and simplified.

My highest earning site was based on similar logic, although I certainly did not plan it as strategically as you described. I was still very new to MMO so while I did research, my ultimate decisions were based on instinct; initially, there were less than 50-ish searches per week for my niche topic, but I knew from forum research that these 50 ppl were preeetty desperate for information. The site started making money immediately because my visitors were looking for more, and actually *reading* through the advertisements to further their search. (I would actually get emails from readers about the advertisements- cracked me up.) Also, next to no competition whatsoever. Less than 1k competing sites, and not one that was solely focused on the same subject. This made it easy for me to “Own the niche,” as you put it.

I’m just theorizing based on my experience, but I think a lot of people start these low traffic niche sites and become content with them staying small, so long as they’re bringing in some kind of earnings. In fact, I do that with most of my sites (also because I’m too busy traveling and getting into mischief at Blog World.) I have however, successfully grown this 200 monthly visitor niche site into a passive income cash cow with well over 150k monthly readers on a slow month. I can’t imagine, had I left it to make a mere few hundred dollars a month, but I’m curious what your thoughts are on this; Better to focus more on growing a handful of niche sites, or 100 lower income sites that add up to big money?

I thought I would take advantage of this with The Niche Doctor Park Page.

http://www.physical-therapy-software.net

I also made a minor change. The Park Page is now using “s” as it’s variable, this way, if you do a Wordpress blog the pages that get indexed from the option box with the Park Page will work with a Wordpress blog as a search page!

10 minutes to get that site registered and up and running!

9 Big Blogger { 10.10.08 at 8:39 am }

Garry,

you have to be crazy to give such a niche away !

BTW, if the .COM and .NET domain are alerady taken, do you buy .ORG domains or do you pass ?

This is a very specific niche. I didn’t know therapy software existed! You really have to do your homework to produce posts in a niche like this one, but as you mentioned, whoever takes advantage of this will own it. I guess it all boils down to finding a niche that hasn’t yet been tapped, and claiming it. Great post! Thanks for letting us in on your secret!

13 Garry Conn { 10.10.08 at 1:06 pm }

Hi Alex,

I don’t mess around with .org domain names. I never really see them in the Google search results… I am not saying that they don’t work, I just don’t have a need for purchasing them. ;)

14 Steve { 10.10.08 at 2:17 pm }

Hey Garry,

Where do you buy your domian names from? I take it that you get a bulk discount on the volume that you’re doing.

I love the logic behind these, very simple. Many people still won’t do it as the content creation part holds them back. You don’t need to be an expert to create content, all it takes is time and the willingness to produce quality articles.

15 chrisblogging.com { 10.10.08 at 2:55 pm }

Garry – Do you have a specific WP theme that you use for your niche blogs? I may have missed this, but if you get a chance let me know.

16 Garry Conn { 10.10.08 at 3:14 pm }

Hi Chris,

Right now, I am using my own theme that my business partner and myself have been promoting called, The Niche Doctor WordPress Theme. Our theme comes with a standard eBook / instruction manual as well as a 40+ minute online video guide and tutorial.

We have since developed another product called The Niche Doctor Park Page, you’ll find info on that on the site as well. The Park Page software enables publishers to easily test the waters on certain keyword phrases and niche topics prior to investing time and energy towards blog and content development. It builds search engine friendly pages as well. It is the only park page system that develops quality information for visitors and that is one of the main reasons why it is so powerful.

17 Jarret { 10.10.08 at 4:57 pm }

You’d actually be surprised at how many people WONT do anything that Garry talks about on his blog.

Their loss though, they are missing out on easy money.

18 Garry Conn { 10.10.08 at 5:01 pm }

It surprises me every day. LOL!!!!

Oh well… no skin off my back. ;)

19 Mike { 10.10.08 at 6:22 pm }

Garry, this is an incredible post. I can believe you are giving this kind of info away! I buy all the products that you recommend, I hope your getting the affiliate commissons! I have 4 specific questions for you.
1) Whats a good monthly search volume number that I should be looking for, whats the minimum, because some searches are very very low…so whats the minimum.
2) When I go to Google and put my keyword in “quotes” and run a search for competing pages, whats the ballpark number I should be looking for…anything under what??
3) For content, I submit 5 articles right away, than 5 more released one per week…than what? Should I post once a week…or once a month…or just leave the blog alone?
4) How do you go about building the first few inital quick backlinks…blog commenting…or should I submit to BOTW and/or Yahoo?

Thanks for any help answering these….you’re a HERO !!!

23 David Cooley { 10.14.08 at 2:05 pm }

It took me about 15 minutes to register and create the site, and 4 days to be indexed.

Just wanted to compare notes with anyone who bought one of these domain names.

I used the Niche Doctor Park Page, one page is indexed so far.

The page that got indexed is at #81 for it’s term, Therapy Practice Software.

This is typical, it usually improves over the next couple days, especially when the main page gets indexed.

http://www.physical-therapy-software.net/

24 Garry Conn { 10.14.08 at 2:54 pm }

That is pretty cool David. I didn’t register any of the domain names listed above because I wanted my readers to have that opportunity. In a few more days I’ll see what is left and register one. In the mean time, unrelated to this niche, I have a domain name that I ordered and it was indexed in about an hour.

http://www.new-lasik.com/

Granted, this is a very competitive keyword, but you know me, I kinda go after keywords that have a little more competition than others.

With the park page up and running, I have around 30 pages that were automatically built based off my keyword research. While the site is aging a little bit, I am currently writing my content while we speak. By the time I get these pages to index, I will have already written my content and I’ll then be able to install WordPress and upload my articles.

In many ways, this method is kind of like pre-heating your oven before you insert the cookies. ;)

I absolutely love The Niche Doctor Park Page and I am having a blast using it.

25 Big Blogger { 10.14.08 at 5:10 pm }

The “lasik” niche is know to have high CPC, but also to have a lot of competition. I wish you great success.

I love the Niche Doctor Park Page too, because once I got an idea and a domain name I can get started in just 10 minutes. On this way I overcome my lazyness and procrastination: having the first step done and being ready for indexing creates momentum.

BTW I suspect you fingers crshed while you were typing the post title: I guess it should be “Therapeutic” :)

ciao

Just a side note- some of the domains are showing available still but I had purchased 2, only to receive an email letting me know they had indeed already been purchased and that I would be receiving a refund. 24 hours later, they were still showing available on both godaddy.com and bustaname.com (which I really love.)

28 Mike { 10.19.08 at 11:00 am }

Garry, quick question…when discussing the domain names you mentioned: “Here is a list of available domain names that NORMALLY I would have registered tonight for myself” so are you saying that for each niche you build a dozen or so mini-websites? Would you have built a website for all of these domain names, or just one?

Does anyone know this answer…becuase I have found a few very good niches and for each niche, there are a dozen or so very good domain names still available, I’m just wondering if I should register them all and build mini-sites around ALL of them?

29 Hugo Santos { 10.26.08 at 6:58 am }

I was checking the domains to see how people were developing them and so far only 3-4 use the niche store park page (?) and one uses a wordpress blog (mine :p). Are people lazy? lol i know i am but managed to put a blog with 3-4 original articles…. lack of time prevents from developing it more…..

Gary, You know what I need to know. (and much more!) I have a product that I want to market online and don’t have a clue how to get people to my site. I’ve been afraid to set up an Etsy store or offer my artwork on ebay because I don’t know how anyone will know I’m there. A friend refered me to the “meta tags” information. I made my own website with yahoo site builder and have made no changes to it, blogger is easier to use. Where do I start??
