Garry, is this an Asian thing? I just don't get it. I just can't figure out how visitors from Malaysia, China, Indonesia who come to yours and other's blogs think that there's absolutely nothing wrong with just lifting the content and putting it onto their own site. I know that there is a preponderance of copyright theft of US/Canadian/European goods, services, software and information throughout the rest of the Third world...especially in Asia, but I'm just wondering if this is a cultural thing? Are those aforementioned countries so devoid of creativity and the concept of hard work that they shiver at the thought of coming up with their own content from their own thoughts? This is not a rhetorical question; I'd really like to know.

Like others I'm amazed with how you come up with these ideas. Maybe I'm just not interested enough in what goes on around me.

Maybe I should try to make it a daily task to find one boring thing that is commonly used. That might give me a few ideas for niches. ;)

Garry,

I have been following your blog for a couple of months now and wanted to say that your content is awesome and say how nice it is to see someone genuine considering how many scam sites there are about making money online and how many people are out there just to cheat someone else.

I'm a college student majoring in computer science and psychology and don't have my own blog or website yet, I want to be well informed/studied before I jump in. I'd also like to write for ehow, and from what I've read keyword research is important in that too. I just got my own computer so I subscribed to your mailing list and also bought a couple of your articles.

I did have one question relating to adsense, more specifically to the adwords keyword tool. Is the goal in finding a combination of attributes that pays well and allows you to rank well in google and have a high CPC to have a phrase with high advertiser competition, (which means high CPC?) and a low-moderately low search volume (say 5000-30,000) to eliminate too much competition in the SERP. I hope that makes sense but I'm a little blurry on that part.

Garry,

I really appreciate what you do in educating people about earning money online, there are so many scam sites out there it is so refreshing to see someone who is genuine. I'm a college student majoring in computer science and psychology and have been following your blog for a few couple of months and really enjoy it. I just subscribed to your email list and purchased a couple of your articles as well.

I don't have a blog yet or any type of website, I'm trying to do all of my research first before I jump in. I'd also like to write for ehow as well and from what I've read keyword research is important in that as well.

One question I had about adsense and more specifically the adwords tool is - in trying to come up with a combination of variables that has a high CPC but gets enough search volume to provide sufficient traffic to make money do you want to have something with high advertiser competition but low to lower search volume? For example in the concrete curbing example your search volume was only 6,600, so are you looking for high advertiser competition which means high CPC but relatively low to lower (say 5,000-30,000) in search volume so there is not too much competition in the SERP. I hope that makes sense to you, I'm just a little blurry on that concept.

I would actually appreciate it if you don't copy and paste my articles on to your blog, translated or not. You need to write your own content.

Of course, if you want to send your visitors to my blog to read my content on my blog, that is fine.

Gary,

Your permission needed for me to c&p your articles into my blog. FYI I am also blogging in my mother tongue language. Can I translate some your write up into my native language i.e. malaysian language and also into arabic and chinese.

Thanks

Top Notch tips Garry. I usually use this term too to check the search engine competition:

allintitle:concrete curbing

If there are not much competition, then it could be very nice to start with low effort to get the top SERP.

You know the interesting part? You have discovered another good keyword at one moment and just for the fun of it I followed your lead and I ended up with a site in which I invested $8 for a domain hosted free on Blogger and making between $40-100 monthly. Good deal. By the way, the volume of work to maintain that site is close to zero.
