Make Money Online With BlackberryOnSale.com

Free Web Designs

I am always on the hunt for good domain names. Recently I purchased a Blackberry Curve and have been having tons of fun with it. Now, knowing me, I want to figure out how to make money online with it. In my last post, I talked about how you can make your self hosted WordPress blog for mobile Internet users and monetize it very easily with Google Adsense for Mobile Content.

Since I am on this big mobile and Blackberry kick, I figured I’d share an available domain name that NORMALLY I would be purchasing right now to use towards building my next profitable, low maintenance, niche money making blog. The available domain name I was going to purchase is BlackberryOnSale.com. Now, I’ll give you a minute to go dash off to GoDaddy.com to check and see if it’s still available.

When you’re done come on back and read the rest of this post. It doesn’t matter if you were too late scoring the domain name or not, there are many more just like it. The rest of this article will show you why the domain name interested me.

Why Is BlackberryOnSale.com A Good Domain Name?

There are multiple reasons why the domain name BlackberryOnSale.com is a great investment for your domain name portfolio. As you know, domain names are dirt cheap. The average cost is around $10 dollars / year. Now, the way I see it is if you can’t make $10 dollars off a domain name in a years time, then you’re totally in the wrong business and making money online is definitely a business that you’re not wired for. Even the stupidest domain names can make you $10 bucks to draw you back even.

With that being said, here are a few things that attracted my attention on the available domain name BlackBerryOnSale.com. For one, the Blackberry is a hot product right now. How do I know this? Well, I just purchased one, so there’s one reason. Two, I am starting to see television commercials for Blackberrys. What does that mean? Well, the way I see it is someone else is paying for my advertising.

Products Advertised on TV Are Free Forms of Search Engine Marketing

Any product or service that you see being advertised on television cost a lot of money. In my experience I find that many of these products and services being advertised on television are extremely lacking on the Internet end of marketing. Typically after someone watches a television commercial, they go running like an idiot for their computer to Google it.

That is where I kick in. I am the guy that already has a blog, site or various pages ready and built to accommodate for the masses of people who run for their computers to search for products they just saw on television. That in itself is a huge strategy of mind and one that works quite well for me time and time again.

Exact or Specific Products and Models Yield High Search Counts

Aside from the newly added awareness of Blackberry products, another reason that interested me in the domain name was obviously the low strength in competition in the search engines that yielded a very high monthly search count. In fact, after using my trusty copy of Micro Niche Finder, after about ten minutes I already had 10 keyword phrases lined up that I could use to make blog posts on that would target these keyword phrases.

Here is a screen shot:

Over 5000 searches within the last 30 days for these very low competition keywords.

Create Niche Blogs That Target Keywords With High Ad Costs

A third reason why I would have purchased BlackberryOnSale.com is because the cost of the ads are moderately high. While some niche keywords are much higher such as Debt Consolidation, which exceeds $20 dollars, overall the Blackberry keywords are pretty good. They are average in other words. In my business, average is just fine, because I have nothing but a domain name and my time invested.

Chop Shop Niche Blogging by having Pre-Made Designs and Pre-Written Content

My time is very controlled as I have pre-made WordPress themes already made for niche blogs. All I have to do is by the domain name, automatically install WordPress with a push of a button within my WHM/cPanel VPS account, upload the WordPress theme, install a few plugins for better optimization such as the Google Sitemaps and maybe aLinks and I am done. All that is left for me to do is write articles based on the 10 researched keywords shown in the above screen shot.

Prior to launching the blog, typically what I will do is write about 15 to 25 articles offline using TextPad. I’ll spend about 5 to 7 days doing that. Once the articles are done, I’ll then get the domain name live, install WordPress and then start adding in my pre-written articles. I’ll usually post 10 immediately and then schedule the remaining to be automatically published once every 7 days. From there, I’ll have an entry in my Google calender that will inform me a day prior to running dry to write some more content, if needed.

Great Tips,

unfortunately some of us don’t have a lot of time to write 30 or so articles, so we deploying many of these niche sites can become a problem. As we’ve said before having a passion for what you are doing is a good thing since there is no way you can write about things that you have no experience with or do not need (rx performance drugs, bust enhancers and the like.)

I think that your BlackberryOnSale.com domain is pretty good but another way to get money from advertisers is to provide information on products. People then looking for comparison tables / feature lists and reviews will come to your site, after they decide they want the product they may follow an interesting ad link or buy from one of your affiliate links.

I believe that this is a very smart way to do a business on blogging. The only thing I can’t see myself doing is opening up so many different blogs on so many different topics. I totally can’t relate to a lot of things, so it would probably be difficult for me.

Mike, indeed you should stick to topics that you know. Being able to freely write without investing a lot of time into research is vitally important. While I am not saying post content without researching, I am saying to choose topics where you have archived the research in your brain rather than having to search Google for it.

Excellent advice and that too would be ideally be the plan. You should take keyword phrases that are easily attainable in the search engines to drive relevant traffic to your niche blog, specifically the pages that you created that target those chosen keywords. From there if you do a great job with providing internal references to your product pages or product review pages, you should be able to convert that traffic into sales or leads.

@Bill
I’ve heard of issues involving domains that include trademarked names. Could you elaborate on your experience has been please?

Talk to me more about this. What experiences to you have that you can share with me regarding that. I appreciate that you took the time to provide the comment.

aLinks is great. Just don’t do what I did and fill it up with a ton of links. Couple that with a lot of traffic and that will equal a broken blog. :(

It’s all about building niche blogs man… Something I have been doing for over a year now. Drag, Drop and forget…. update when you can. :)

I am trying to migrate into other forms of income, but time and time again, I continue to make the most money using Google AdSense. While I am not complaining about that, I am saying that I am trying to build up other income avenues.

I asked him too… To me it’s pretty clear… his message is to stay away from registering domain names with clear trademarks. However, in the case of Blackberry… who’s to say that I could make a header graphic of blackberry jelly or something like that but still write content about REM Blackberry products? That is the part I am curious about.

14 Bill { 06.07.08 at 6:15 pm }

I don’t have a lot of experience personally. I had a site that used ipod in the url…..I received a C&D within just a few weeks from Apple. I stay away from them ever since and often read of people who build niche sites receiving C&Ds.

Some companies are very protective while others don’t seem to care. If you are willing to risk losing the site then go for it, but if you are going to have a LOT of time, effort, energy and money into building a site around that domain then I would advise you to stay away myself.

Guess it boils down to your risk tolerance.

Thanks for responding, Bill. It makes sense to me.

Bill,

Very thoughtful and insightful comment response. I really appreciate you coming here and bringing out more awareness of this. I believe that you are right and that special care and consideration should be taken into choosing a domain name. It is very easy for me to equally find generic domain names names available as it is for me to find domain names that have trademarked words in it. Nice job helping me see the light on this. :)
