Make Money Online With Adsense For Feeds
Adsense for feeds is a new beta program by Google that allows you to make money by monetizing your RSS feed using Google Adsense. I discovered this service when I was digging around a little bit in the Google Adsense Help Center.
What is AdSense for feeds?
Google states, “We’re currently beta testing AdSense for feeds, a program that allows you to monetize your feeds through contextually targeted advertising. AdSense for feeds works the way the rest of the AdSense program works, delivering ads that are so relevant to the content that readers find them useful. And when people click on these ads, Google pays you.”
Google hasn’t released this service to the public and at this time they are not even accepting any beta testers. Google says that people are welcome to check this page for updates. When Google does release this program to the public, I think that there is a great opportunity to generate a great cash flow using this program. In their preparations for releasing this new service, they have already posted their best practices:
- Syndicate the full text of your articles.
- Don’t include more than one ad unit per article.
- Place the ad unit at the end of articles.
- Include terms and conditions on the use of your feeds.
More can be read on this page about the best practices of Google Adsense for feeds. Could this be the next generation in monetizing RSS feeds? Currently, Text-Link-Ads offers a great program to make money using your RSS feed; however, Google Adsense has lead the way in being the most popular and lucrative way to make money online. And by soon by being able to use Google Adsense for feeds, I wonder if this new generation of using Google Adsense will become as main stream as the original program?

If they do this right, this will be extremely useful for people that don’t have enough feed readers to qualify for Feedburner and other feed ad services that are currently available.
The bad news is I subscribe to a lot of lower traffic blogs. These will now to cluttered with ads too
But with the acquisition of Feedburner Google might think of using the Feedburner RSS advertising also I believe..

I see that adding ads to feeds may actually mean less people subscribing – it is almost subscribing to ads. I hope google sorts it out carefully.

This has been in private beta for 2 years
I guess we will have to sit back and wait another 2 more to see what they do with feedburner.
