Money Is Deep Within Us All

Free Web Designs

I have learned very quickly that in this business of blogging, sometimes even though we may not have money in currency and dollar bills, we still have value in the things we are an expert in. Earlier today, I posted an announcement about a domain name that I was about to launch in the upcoming months. Because I have been doing well with my finances, I want to give my readers the first opportunity to jump on any business idea I have, prior to launching it myself. If I have someone interested, great! If not, then no big deal… I launch the site and add it to my fleet of money making dot Com’s.

It is common for bloggers not to have extra money just floating around in the house. Of all the bloggers out here in the blogosphere, I am one to know this. However, even with the lack of actual money, there is a value deep inside each and everyone of us. Christine Senter is a person who I quickly (within minutes) recognized as a very experienced and highly skilled professional writer. And just like any family (including myself!) shelling out $500 dollars for a domain name typically isn’t forecasted and in our monthly budgets. You can ask my wife how she would react if she discovered that her husband blew $500 dollars on a domain name. She wouldn’t be happy… just as I would be pissed if she did the same.

When it comes to blogging and business, that’s one thing… but when it comes to family and raising your children, spending $500 dollars on the fly, just isn’t something a typical mom or dad does. Regardless if its a good opportunity, it doesn’t matter… The family, the kids, clothes and things like that have to come first.

Believe me… I know this, I can’t even begin to tell you how much money I am spending on back to school clothes.

Can I say three words: Teen + Daughter = Expensive

The point is this… I can’t tell you how many opportunities I have had to pass up because I have to maintain a certain level of responsibility. Could I afford to buy a $500 dollar domain name? Yeah… but would it off set our monthly budget and would it cause my wife and I to make adjustments to accommodate it… Yes! and in the long run… who pays for that sacrifice? The kids.

And you know what… living like that sucks. It’s not fun to pass up good deals. But, its our job and our duty to be a responsible family unit. So when Christine told me that she would love to purchase the domain name but didn’t have the money… instantly it hit home… I knew exactly where she was coming from. And that sucks! Is Christine poor? No…  but she is just like any other sensible parent. We don’t go out and buy $500 dollar domain names. Parents just don’t do that! It’s an unwritten rule… whatever you want to call it. It Just Doesn’t happen.

I want everyone to have gold. I want everyone who works hard to have the same opportunity in life that rich people have.

Regardless of how much money I earn, please make no mistake about me. I am blue collar guy from Tennessee and I will always drive a minivan… I will never do the fine dinning thing and I will never own crazy and expensive things… I want to put my kids through college and then buy a cheap beater airplane to fly in for around $15,000 dollars. That’s all I want.

So, when I have a mom tell me that she can make good use of this domain name, but can’t buy it because it will mess with their family’s budget… that’s has to be frustrating. That sucks.

So, the deal is done! Congrats goes out to Christine Senter aka sapheyerblu on the acquisition of PopularBlogger.com. This post serves as a public document and provides details of the acquisition of the domain name.

I have agreed to transfer the domain name PopularBlogger.com. In exchange, Christine will write 100 professionally written and very brief (125 word) articles on my new dot Com website, www.BlogWheels.com.

Christine will be writing about high end luxury cars and high performance sports cars…

you know, the cars that you drool over and wish you could own!

See John Chow’s header for an example. Or see my most recent post.

The articles are going to be brief and to the point. The articles will quickly identify some really juicy and useful information and stats about these cars. You will quickly discover cool facts and have the opportunity to watch amateur YouTube videos about these cars. She will be publishing in the area of around 10 articles per day. So within 10 to 14 days, upon completion of the publication service, the domain name will be transferred to her free and clear.

Garry Conn loves the mommy bloggers and doesn’t run a corporation so he can play favorites a little bit.

My corporate days are done… and I know for fact that mommy bloggers can either make your success or break your success.

Blog tip: Don’t ever under estimate the power of mommy bloggers. Because in this little world we call the blogosphere, we have two powers: One is Google. The other… Mommy bloggers.

I have a mommy blogger who is going to be pouring a lot of love into my new blog site… and for that I will always be thankful. Secondly, I will always be just a few clicks away for questions and support. Christine is the new owner of a wonderful dot Com domain name, and I will be here for her along the way with any questions she may have.

Everyone, please drop a comment and congratulate Christine on the acquisition of the wonderful domain name, PopularBlogger.com. She is a hard working mom and she earned it! And don’t forget to check our her other sites too… tons of great content there. Remember, she is a professional writer so you can really enjoy the things she writes. Hit her up for a few comments, subscribe to her feeds and tell her what a wonderful job she is doing with her contributions into the blogosphere.

Congrats Christine! It’s a really cool idea for a blog.

Thanks Goldy,

And a big thanks to Garry. And Garry, just so you know, I’ve already got a list of about 50 different cars that I’ll be writing about. We’re going to be looking at everything from the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren (about $450,000) to the new Shelby 40th Anniversary 427 S/C Cobra.

I’ll be Google’s best friend in the next few days as I look up specs, prices, and most of all, droolability. LOL

I’m very excited about this partnership/exchange. Since I started blogging with more of a business mind, I’ve seen the name Garry Conn all over the place and have always placed him in the ranks of John Chow, and the ProBlogger. This, for me, is a dream come true.

Thanks again, Garry

Wow… and you know, it’s moments like this that really inspire me to keep pluggin away. Christine, I really take this comment to heart and not only have you made my night… but that comment will stay with me for a long time. Thank you! That is so cool.

Oh, how we all love droolability! That is an awesome word. We all have to drool like a teething baby… over the expensive toys in life such as the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren. I am very confident in your ability to make people drool! In fact, if the above comment represents a sample of what will be written on the site… I am already drooling!

If you keep this up, I just might not only include the domain name but also design the site for you! LOL!!!

and speaking of the devil…

What is this like an ouija board? lol :)

Hi John.. it’s been months since your last visit, how have things been going for you?

wow garry this is an exiting deal! I hope it pays off for both of you, best of luck.

Thanks Matt. Hit or miss… it doesn’t matter. What is important is that this is a total win situation for Christine. No matter if my project fails or becomes a success, she comes out ahead by landing the awesome domain name. And to me… that is comforting to know.

Morning, ya’ll. Well now that I’ve had a little sleep, I’m just about ready to kick things into gear. Of course, I have to go to my real job first, and get my schmooze on. In the real world, I’m a waitress. LOL Not because I need the money, though that is nice. My hubby says it’s because I need my audience. LOL

As soon as I get home this afternoon though, I’ll get started on the first installments of BlogWheels. I’m so excited. VROOM, VROOM

Its all about content, content, content! I am always amazed by people who think they can post a bunch of regurgitated crap on a blog and expect to make money.

That’s not how this works. You HAVE to have some original thoughts and you have to put them on paper!

Sounds like a plan!

@ Sarah,

you are very right… too many sites do that.
