"...Never break trust with your readership and always treat them with the highest level of love and respect. ..."

How true this is. It's your readers who decide how well your blog grow and eventually how much traffic you're gonna get. They are also responsible for what conversations take place on your blog. In short your readers are responsible for any kind activity and interaction on your blog.

to be honest I have learnt quite a few things here, but I habe issues to contend with and probably argue about, first of all I am fully aware that starts from small begginings also there are certain factors ou need to but in place for a blog to succeed, I have aske Mr. Garry on his site and other sister sites how do I insert an autoresponder I use getresponse and no one seems to answer me perhaps this will be a good time for some one to tell me what to do

Thanks Garry, good post. I'm just getting started myself, and am trying to help a few friends get going in the process as well. So far I've got to say that WordPress has been the #1 most valuable tool (I've had more success in 2 months with WP than I did in 3 YEARS with Joomla, though to be honest I didn't work very hard on it with Joomla because the tools were a pain in the butt!). However I also have to say that I feel I've learned a few good basics from your site the last few days since I found it, so I'm very grateful so far, especially for the steer-clear from John Chow message :p

Thanks for the advice. it is not really easy to be a succesful blogger. it takes time, hardwork and dedication. Above all any newbie blogger should be ready to learn from expert advice like yours

Hi Garry, I've only had one really bad blogging mishap, and you helped me through it. Since that time, I've taken tons of php, html, xhtml and css tutorials and I'm confident I can fix anything that happens.

Though I don't blog for money, I have built a big following and it will serve me well when I publish my two upcoming mind warping psychotic insanity horror novels which will be done soon...LOL! No matter what a person works for in life, blogging is a fantastic tool to help propel their dreams and is so easily adapted to fit their particular needs.

I'd like to point out that no matter what type of blog a person has, it is the MMO techniques that will spawn its growth. I use MMO ideas on a non-MMO site. It's interesting that more unrelated bloggers don't incorporate SEO and other ideas into their blogs. You don't have to have a marketing blog to use the ideas!

Thanks Garry, great post as usual!

Ok, fair enough... but what are you doing to do when you break something? Call a witch doctor to fix it? Pay someone $100 or $200 dollars to fix something that you could have done yourself in a matter of minutes? It is VERY important to learn basic PHP and HTML skills before our <strong>DURING</strong> your first few months of blogging. ;)

I actually don't think that is necessary to know PHP or HTML before you start blogging. You can learn while you are blogging.
