My Daughter Turns 16 and G3Baseball.com

Happy 16th Birthday Savannah!

Time is such a bitter sweat element in life. Without time there would be no experience of joys. But also too with time comes the experience of sadness. I am so happy to celebrate such a special day today as this is my daughter’s 16th Birthday. It brings a tear to my eye for the fact that time is just moving way too fast. It was yesterday when she took her first step onto that old yellow bus and today in just two short years my daughter will be an adult. Surreal…

G3Baseball.com News

Baseball is over for the year. Well, not quite. G3 (aka GConn) will begin an end of summer/fall travel baseball season and also may continue a second fall baseball season with his normal league. Things are still up in the air and it looks like there may be a few travel baseball options presented to him this year.

In the mean time, G3 has completed his state tournament. His team played a total of three games. They lost their first state level game, won the second and then lost their third last night. That’s ok though… everyone’s journey has to end somewhere and as I explained to G3 it took NASA many tries before they were successful with putting a man on the moon.

Here are some pictures of my son during the various tournament games that took place over the last week. Soon G3 will have his own web site that will showcase stats, pictures and events. It will probably be a WordPress blog with a RSS feed so that he can begin to establish a fan base. Perhaps, we can get my son’s blog up to a PR5 so that baseball equipment manufacturers will send him free equipment in exchange for free advertising. ;)

Here are some pics of the wonderful world of a Little League Baseball dad. Enjoy ;)

Two minivans. The white minivan in front of ours is my brother’s packed full of an equal number of kids. His youngest son, Michael and my son Garry play on the same team.

Truckers Don’t Own The Road…

Traveling baseball parents do! Eat my dust sucker!! ;)

* I get a little bored while driving so I usually have my kids make weird faces at the people we pass so that I can take pictures of them.

This Is Where War Happens…

Sometimes I think the parents want to win more than the kids want to win. Here is the picture of what I call a controlled and caged battle ground.

The Battle Grounds Were Nice…

These fields looked amazing. The grass was well kept, the dugouts were inset in the ground. Very nice field.

All Conn’s Rule…

Here is G3 and his cousin Michael. They rule ;)

Cool man…I can’t imagine my baby girl at 16! Good stuff on the baseball too, his own blog would be cool.

Man I wish I had ball diamonds as nice as those when I was playing. All I played on was the crappy gravel ones.

Wow you’ve got a 16yr old now, that has got to be scary. Mine are still a good 10 years away but I’m trying to prepare myself already :)
