It is funny to see that even Darren Rowse from Problogger is getting annoyed with email spam solicitations such as the new and widely blasted NetAudioAds email.

NetAudioAds Make Darren Rowse Angry

There has been an email floating around and I am sure that if you are reading this article, you’ve received a copy or two as well:

Copy of NetAudioAds Email

The email is pretty cut dry and simple:

Hello, I represent a major online advertiser and we are interested in advertising at your site on an ongoing basis. Can you please put me in touch with the person in charge of your Advertising Program. Thank you.

A few days ago I covered an article talking about NetAudioAds and how bloggers can make money online using their program. I would now like to suggest that you strongly evaluate their program and consider the fact that there are hundreds if not thousands of individual affiliates blasting out spam emails into the blogosphere with a misleading message.

The program is totally up for grabs, but I think it would be a good idea to reconsider doing business with NetAudioAds, as I don’t want my namesake affiliated with a network of clients who send out email spam.

There are many other programs that offer creative ways to make money online, NetAudioAds is not going to be one of the programs I use.

    Hi,

I decided to test out the audioads system and have been reading their blog (and emails). They did mention the fact some people were spamming - 1st contact emails were promotions - and I *think* they mentioned those persons’ accounts would be cancelled as a result. Eiuther way, they are aware and cracking down on that practice.

In regards to this new advertising method, I’m not entirely convinced website visitors won’t be irked by having a sound bite play out of their speakers, even if it is only 5 seconds long. I’m often P.O.d when this happens on sites I visit if I’m someplace I don’t want sound to play (work, library, etc)…

But I do have a few sites that get decent traffic but (apparently) very little repeat traffic, at least based on what my stat counter shows. So, since most of them won’t be coming back anyways, I may as well earn a few micro-cents from each and every one them. :-)

Oh - and I just found your blog today and have subscribed after reading some of your posts. Good job!

    ~ Steve

Internet Audio by Voice2page and NetAudioAds…Great Idea… So Whats the Problem?

I have been a user and supporter of voice2page and netaudioads for quite some time now, actually before they came out with Play Per Play. I use the voice2page feature on my site www.collectmychecks.com because plain text pages are usually pretty boring and most people have a short attention span. Attention grabber graphics and video are becoming more and more popular and actually seem to be required to try and attract more visitors and hold them for any length of time.

So the internet audio concept makes perfect sense …ok try this…go turn on your TV and try and watch it with the sound turned off…pretty boring right.

You have to do something different to hold the visitors attention…why not make it more personable. The netaudioads is a great way to monetize your site and pretty ingenious if you ask me. They seem to have figured out a way to deliver information without competing with overpopulated sites and web page limitations. There is only so much real-estate available on a web page before it becomes too cluttered.

The big picture appears to be that voice2page is trying to take the internet to the next level of internet communication with endless application possibilities. The facts seemed to be…the search engine giants like it, the advertisers like it, so therefore it will probably become mainstream pretty soon.

It does not make a whole lot of sense to try and find fault with the concept because it is probably going to be very successful regardless of the knit-pick negative comments.

Anybody heard whether voice2page is going public anytime soon…I think this would be a good stock buy.

If you have an opinion regarding what I have said about voice2page please forward your comments to their email box at support@voice2page.com they may be interested in what you think.
