Pepperjam Network CEO, Kris Jones Interviews Garry Conn
So far, August has already proven to be an interesting month for me. In the last week of July, I was interviewed by Mike Dammann from Search Feature. This Friday I am pleased to announce that the interview with Pepperjam Network’s CEO, Kris Jones will be live on the Pepperjam Network web site on August 8th.
If you didn’t read the first interview from Mike Dammann yet, here is a snippet of the interview below:
Garry Conn is one of the people who teaches his readers how to make money online. He is also a very good friend and great guy and I’ve had the pleasure of talking to him quite a few times lately. Here is the interview … enjoy! – Mike Dammann
Mike: Garry, when did you originally start building web sites and blogs and at what point were you doing it on a professional level?
Garry Conn: My first web site was built back in 1998. It was a very basic web site that advertised aircraft for sale for a monthly fee. Since that time, that web site has been sold to another member of my family. Over the years I have built, maintained and owned a number of different web sites, all of which have been sold over the years. Today, all I build are blogs. For me, blogging is the next generation of content publication. In fact, not much has changed in my business model over the years other than the platform in which I use to build and maintain sites on the Internet.

This will actually be my second time having a story covered on the Pepperjam Network. Last month I participated in a high profile competition against Jason Katzenback, new owner of John Cow dot Com, in a competition to see who could build and sell a niche blog on SitePoint within 30 days for highest amount of money. Kris Jones covered this story on the Pepperjam Network as two Pepperjam affiliates battled it out to see who was the better make money online blogger. This same story was also covered on SitePoint.com by Matthew Magain in an article released and titled, The Ultimate Money-making Blog Smackdown.
Kris Jones, CEO, Pepperjam Interview Preview:
Kris Jones: Where do you live? Are you married? Any children? Animals?
Garry Conn: Hi Kris. I live in Clarksville, Tennessee, married and my wife and I have three kids and a new born baby boy due in the end of September.
Kris Jones: When did you first get involved in affiliate marketing? Tell us the story of how you got started.
Garry Conn: I am no stranger to online business. My first online business was an online classifieds web site for aircraft owners, brokers and dealers. I have long since sold that business many years ago. Over the years I have done quite a bit in the online world, at one point in time I even built and sold computers on eBay. It was only recently, within the last three years that I started to gain an interest in affiliate marketing.
I quickly recognized how applying my previous Internet marketing skills for my own private business could be transferable towards helping others who need assistance in selling their own products and services. In this era of the Internet today, it is so much easier for business owners and product developers compared to the many years ago when I was on the other side of the fence. Today, advertisers, business owners and product developers have the luxury of working with successful companies such as Pepperjam to aid them in their successful ventures. My role in the mix fits like a glove. – Read Full Story on August 8th 2008.

Looking forward to the interview Garry. What I liked the most about my interview with you was how you explained how you first got started. it was with a niche you knew about and are interested in. This is something that every reader needs to realize, that everybody started out somewhere and there is absolutely no need to shoot straight to the top, but apply yourself to something you are passionate about.
I myself am far from being an affiliate guru, but the more I read your blog, the more interest I take in it.
